Bloomberg:

Steven Rattner, the Wall Street executive who joined the Obama administration to help restructure General Motors and Chrysler, is quitting to return to “private life,” the Treasury Department said today.

Ron Bloom, another member of the Treasury’s auto task force, will run the group, said Secretary Timothy Geithner in a statement. With GM and Chrysler emerging from bankruptcy, “we enter a new phase” of the government’s involvement in the industry, the statement said.

This is God-awful. “Let me tell you who Sotomayor is, so then when we ask her questions, she can say the same thing.” I don’t understand why we have to get the biography from Schumer when we could just as easily get the autobiography from SO-TO-MAY-OR.
