The Northern Alliance Radio Network will be on the air today, with our eight-hour-long broadcast schedule starting at 9 am CT. If you’re in the Twin Cities, you can hear us on AM 1280 The Patriot, or on the station’s Internet stream if you’re outside of the broadcast area.
- David Strom and Margaret Martin start us off with The David Strom Show, 9-11 am
- The First Team: Power Line’s John Hinderaker and Chad and Brian from Fraters Libertas, 11-1
- The Headliners: Mitch Berg and Ed Morrissey, 1-3 with live streaming video and chat
- The Final Word: King Banaian, 3-5.
Today, Mitch and I deal with the angst that comes from being from the state that sent Al Franken to Washington as a Senator. While we try to figure out how that happened, we’ll also discuss how it doesn’t seem to have prevented Barack Obama’s agenda from stalling this week in Congress. The moderate Democrats apparently popped the clutch after seeing Obama’s falling poll numbers. We’ll also talk about where the Porkulus funds have gone, and much much more…
Be sure to call 651-289-4488 to join the conversation!
Mitch and I now live-stream our show from 1-3 pm CT on Ustream, complete with live chat! Be sure to register for free at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.)

No matter what you do or say, the state of Minnesota is still a disgrace for electing Al Franken to the United States Senate. No amount of alibis or excuses is going to change that. Neil Young once said that Alabama should find itself another country. Percy Peabody says that Minnesota should find itself another country. Get the hell out and stay the hell out.

Lonesomecharlie concurs. Minnesotans have shown their utter contempt for America’s democracy and political institutions over and over again but this is the last straw. If we allow them to continue what’s next? A dog or cat elected to the House of Representatives?
I was born and raised in Minnesota so I know what these bozos are capable of. Get them out and get them out now!

I blame Garrison Keillor. Listening to him induces a form of mass hypnosis which never wears off.

And all those folks who made up the majority who voted for Obama came from what states? And all those states that helped vote in Democrat majorities in both houses of Congress?
Kettle = black
