I don’t care what’s at the end of this; I’m not going to listen to anymore of this limey’s bullsh-t. I’m sure his ilk said the same thing about when the British occupied our country, and we decided to evict them. Just because they (and the Russians) get their asses kicked fighting people like Afghans, doesn’t mean we will. What this jackass fails to wake up and recognize is the militarily historical significance of the 1st month of the war: a force of only about 100 US Army Special Forces operators went in ahead of groups like the 3rd ID (and all other conventional forces), and after taking over groups like the Northern Alliance, toppled the country’s illegitimate government, virtually singlehandedly. No, that jackass is probably too stupid to know that; it’s not just that he doesn’t understand.

I have to assume that Pres. Obama looks at this as no pain solution for the U.S. but what would be the impact to the citizens of Afghanistan and Pakistan be? Considering how well Pakistan’s last little treaty with the Taliban went I can’t imagine they would want to expand on it.

I travel to that region frequently, and I am not aware of any such issues. They recently had a fairly peaceful election, with the ruling party coming back to power in a landslide, and their prime minister is a pretty well-respected economist who was the architect behind India’s open trade policies.

So can you please tell us exactly what issues you are talking about?
