ABC analyzes Obama ogler tape

Now that the Michael Jackson story is waning, the media can focus on the important stories and help answer the tough questions: “Was Obama looking at that 16 year old girl’s butt?”
Drudge featured a photo, that appears to show Obama going all Bill Clinton in Rome. However, it’s a still picture, but a video exists that the media is now tearing apart frame by frame.
GMA analyzed the tape as if it were a Zapruder film of bootyliciousness and concluded that the video clearly shows Obama wasn’t checking out the girl’s butt (they also don’t think he’s a socialist, so take that for what it’s worth) — however, the experienced male glancer will tell you that you always have a “plan B” in case you’re caught looking and need to make it like you were focusing on something else, so who knows.
It doesn’t appear that Obama was overtly checking the girl out (if he was, at least he didn’t make it quite as obvious as Bill Clinton) — Sarkozy, however, is another story altogether:
At least we’ve found one way to get these G8 guys to move to the right.
Update (Ed): Jake Tapper gave the White House pushback on the glance, and that drew a lot of skepticism both here and at Jake’s blog. I’ll copy the comments over when this goes live. Honestly, I think ABC got it right, and did a pretty amusing segment, too.

I submit to the court of public opinion that President Obama did in fact ogle the young lady’s backside. Any student of human movement would tell you that in helping a young lady down the steps, you look in her eyes first, hold out your hand, grasp her hand and then watch her feet carefully as she steps down, ready to help her balance should she slip in her dainty shoes.
You do not stare blankly at some other girls ass while the lady you’re supposedly helping down has to grab your arm to keep from slipping.
I close with a simple question. What was Sarkozy laughing at and why did he lean back then after Obama to check out the young lady’s rear? Why, because he wanted to see what Obama was looking at.
I rest my case.

Since he things he is god and destined to be the ruler of the world, I would not be surprised if he was trying to figure out when he can make the doctrine of prima nocta the law of the land. Of course DA ONE would modify it to apply to all people regardless of sex, age, marital status etc.

IF you watch the video, you will see he is waiting to take the hand of the woman behind him to help her down the steps. So naturally he’s looking down and to his side so that he can take her hand. It doesn’t even look like he saw the girl in the magenta dress pass him at all. A million cameras taking a million pictures will sooner or later capture things that look bad…like Bush looking through the wrong side of the binoculars, and whatnot. So if you think it’’s ridiculous for liberals to use such photos to malign the President, then it’s equally as ridiculous for our side to do the same. Don’t get stuck on stupid, OK? OK.

He was definitely tracking her during everyone’s jostling-around on the staircase. Twice in fact – tracking her once from the front (which the video shows only the tail end of) and then tracking her behind, for about three-quarters of a second. And why wouldn’t he? She was directly in his field of view! About the only way not to would have been studious avoidance, and what we saw on the video was *not* ’studious avoidance’.
So yes, there was ‘tracking’ involved. The man’s a tracker. What else is there to say?
Oh yes, he also helped that other woman climb down a
starestair.The end of the world? Not really IMHO.
And to those freaking out while mentioning ‘Palin, Palin’: Let’s wait until we see Sarah’s gaze lock onto some guy’s butt on the stump before we ramp up with the comparisons. And when she does, a casual mention and a snicker here & there will be the sufficient and appropriate reaction. Deal?

I despise they guy but, as far as I can tell, this is the first regular-guy type thing he’s done in public.
When I stop looking, put a lily in my hands and close the coffin lid becuse I am surely dead.
With the sheer tonnage of things we have to worry about with this guy, this one ranks down there with whether he’s dyeing his hair.
Now – if he’d have suggested those girls be put in a burqa – I’d be leading the pitchforks down Pennsylvania Ave.

As for the “she’s only 16″ mantra, I doubt that he knew that. How many teens are expected to be at these kind of events?
More significant though, is the fact that I–and every other hetero male including Barry–sure as hell would have pegged her for being older. When I drive past high schools these days I never fail to notice how 16 and 17 year olds look a lot different than when I was that age. Today they seem to look like they are 20 or 21.
I know that with every generation girls are disconcertingly trying to flaunt their sexuality at ever younger ages, but unless it’s just my midlife crisis kicking in–these days I feel a lot like Kevin Spacey in American Beauty–I’d swear that they are actually physically maturing much earlier.
Maybe it’s the hormones added to the milk and food. My eleven-year-old niece already has a figure, for Chrissake.
