The problem here is, one cannot effectively shove their head up their a$$, while simultaneously bending over and spreading said cheeks for any and all dictators and enemies can take a stab. Being as inept as Barack H. Obama is a tough job.

This is an assumption that more than a few observers have made. It is possible but unlikely. A far less superficial evaluation is that the POTUS is systematically dismantling the most efficient and dynamic economic system the world has ever known solely for the purpose of building a personal power base not known in this country before.

This man is not stupid. His early influences, his continuing associations, his inner circle of advisers and all of his decisions as president lead to this inescapable conclusion.

How long before the words anti-American and even treason start appearing in this context. This will almost certainly happen when the magnitude of the economic failure begins spiraling out of control, a far from unintended consequence of his policy. Out of chaos comes rule by fiat.

The fusillade against Sarah Palin was only practice for the time it will be against any dissent at all.

By now, of course, he knows full well what really happened; but it seems he simply cannot bring himself to admit that he misunderstood so egregiously in the first five minutes — which, coincidentally, was when he committed himself to supporting Zelaya, come what may

I wish this were the case. After running it over and over these last 10 days I am left with only one conclusion. Obama supports Zelaya before, during and after.

This is also the position of Rev Wright/Ayers. It is also the position of the controversial “liberation theology”, frowned upon by John Paul II and the current Pope. It is still a major belief system in Latin America.

Hillary, ever the hustler, recognizes that they have been played by Chavez and Ortega and is looking for a backdoor. Any blood will be on her/Obama hands. Ortega is still looking for payback with Honduras for having supported the Contras during the 80’s.

Occam’s razor says Obama/Clinton actually support Zelaya and will ignore or make any excuse to continue to do so.

Too bad for Hillary (ha – she was dumb to have taken the job in the first place.)

Astute analysis of how Obama arrives at, and sticks with, some of his exceptionally bad decisions….

Oh you’re slick, you almost got me when you sort of insinuated that libertarians were intellectuals.

You’re good. I’ll give you that!

You can’t simultaneously make saints out of drug users, and then trash them for being reckless.

Indifference to drug use is a linchpin of the whole libertarian fad. I can’t believe you’re using drug use in a critique of our President’s behavior.
