I'd say it's been a cold summer. The high today - July 29th - in Denver was 64 degrees. The entire week has been and will be in the high 60s at best.

As for the summer so far, I think we had 3 days at around 90 and one 95 degree day.

It's the coolest summer I can remember although I do remember snow in July at about 7200 feet in the mountains when I was a kid.

It's actually been pretty nice.

When the RNC solicits donations from me, they get nothing. Instead, I respond by sending a contribution directly to a real Conservative like Inhofe. He is one of my favorite out-of-my-state conservatives.

I was home sick yesterday, and watched the proceedings on C-Span. The EPA administrator sat there and lied through her teeth about the matter. She said that Carlin was given carte blanch to speak about the report, no suppression whatsoever. Inhofe needs to stay on top of this one, it's big. Maybe if it becomes apparent to the gullible that they are blatently lying about this issue, that they just might be lying about a few other things.

There's also a big story in how the various govt agencies diddle the numbers before they are released.

For example, satellite data showed that May was the 15th coolest of the 31 years they had been collecting data.
NCDC claims that May was the 4th warmest ever.

NCDC uses ground based data, then heavily "adjusts" it to eliminate "known" errors.

One of the rules of thumb that I have always used is that when the adjustments to your data are 10 times larger than the signal you find, then it is time to dump your data and try something else.

Remember, Libs are the self-proclaimed smart ones. If they decreed that astrology could be used to predict economic and political outcomes and conservatives challenged that, they would merely tell them to 'read some books' and call them 'ignorant rednecks'. Hell, they do that all the time anyway.

They are smart because they say they are. Science is what they say it is.

They were the quiet underachievers sitting in the corner of the classroom penning morbid songs and poetry. They just knew they were way smarter than their teachers and everyone else.

I deal with these types every year.

That’s not a theory. It’s an article of faith. It is not falsifiable.

.
There are only two possibilities.
1. It just happened. Which is expounded in the often modified theory of evolution.
2. Somebody designed and built everything. As is expounded in Genesis, without the need of modification, to explain new data.

Thank you. Completely agree. Tom Coburn (our other Senator here in OK is also a good man, but he was duped on Tarp I. Inhofe was not and voted no. He has the best voting record in the Senate as far as I'm concerned, and is one of the few candidates I send money to whenever he runs. You know the leftists would love to get him out of the Senate, but Oklahoma is the reddest of the red states.

It's true. I read it on Al Gore's internet.

Inhofe does his best to counter the global warming hysteria with factual information, I wish more people would listen. He has a great website, as the minority ranking member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, very informative.

Soros funded Climate progress is all over defending warming. They say their models are correct. ignore thermometers. Thermometers were purchased during some republican Pres must be wrong. Gavin schmidt is also media funded. he twists science and powerpoints to over rule temp readings. He was also busted for dishonesty. Yes it is colling and we need to go into bondage quickly before the chances of getting votes fall.
Obama's policy of high unemployment does help decrease fuel consumption.

<blockquote>One month of cooling taken outside a broader context does not disprove Anthropogenic Global Warming any more than a few years of warming taken outside a broader context proves it. Bad science is not the antidote to bad science, and skepticism and denial are not the same things.</blockquote>

But the skeptics aren't the ones collapsing those two words--AGW fear-mongers are. There are enormous reasons to be skeptical of AGW. The data sucks; the mathematical models used to analyze the data are, at best, unproven, and at worst, intentionally misleading; the computer code used to implement the algorithms is a disaster, and the climatologists who are generating this code are unwilling to follow standards <i>established by the government</i> that demand clear documentation and theoretical justifications for their assumptions.

AGW has fallen flat on its face. There is absolutely no justification for the claims that Al Gore and his minions are making. None. But the opportunity to take even further control over peoples' lives and the economy is simply irresistible to the Left. Thus the demonization of anyone who challenges the orthodoxy. We are not skeptics, we are deniers. We are in thrall to Big Oil. We are anti-science.

Bullshit. AGW is not about science. It never was. It is about politics. And those who love freedom and liberty have lost this political battle, I fear. The Left's rhetoric has overwhelmed reason. To all of our detriment.

<blockquote>Comparing the unproven science of global warming with the proven science of evolution is apples and oranges and isn’t relevant to the bogus climate change crap.

Cripes. Putting Evolution in the same sentence as AGW is more a statement on the original poster's lack of intelligence than anything else. That was just lame.

<blockquote>Pope John Paul II on (Darwin’s) evolution

In a major statement of the Roman Catholic Church’s position on the theory of evolution, Pope John Paul II has proclaimed that the theory is “more than just a hypothesis” and that evolution is compatible with Christian faith. In a written message to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the pope said the theory of evolution has been buttressed by scientific studies and discoveries since Charles Darwin. “It is indeed remarkable that this theory has progressively taken root in the minds of researchers following a series of discoveries made in different spheres of knowledge”‘, the pope said in his message Wednesday. “The convergence, neither sought nor provoked, of results of studies undertaken independently from each other constitutes, in itself, a significant argument in favor of this theory“.

The Pope’s message went much further in accepting the theory of evolution as a valid explanation of the development of life on Earth, with one major exception: the human soul. “If the human body has its origin in living material which preexists it, the spiritual soul is immediately created by God”, the Pope said.
- Chicago Tribune (10/25/96)</blockquote>

I guess that would matter to me if I was Catholic. Perhaps the Pope should concentrate on his priesthood pretending to be Michael Jackson first.

because too often these scientists are too interested in government grants and eco driven redistribution

the ones that aren't interested in those things are actually trust worthy
