Another shoe drops for Murtha

A figure close to John Murtha has been charged with fraud in connection to government contracting. Richard Ianeri, former president of Coherent Technologies, took kickbacks from subcontractors. But Ianeri may be singing rather than fretting at the moment (via HA reader Frank P):
A former executive for a defense contractor with ties to Democratic U.S. Rep. John Murtha has been charged by federal prosecutors with taking about $200,000 in kickbacks from a subcontractor.
Richard Ianieri, of Doylestown, Pa., served as president and CEO of Coherent Systems International Corp., the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
The government alleges Ianieri received checks which were “provided for the purpose of improperly obtaining and rewarding favorable treatment … relating to a government prime contract.”
Coherent worked so closely with Kuchera Industries that Murtha himself bragged three years ago that the companies practically worked as one entity. Kuchera, a big Murtha backer, got suspended from its Navy contracts for fraud in April. Kuchera has appealed that decision, but FBI raids on its headquarters strongly suggest that the government may have more to say about Kuchera’s future.
The AP notes that the type of charges filed against Ianeri suggest that he may be more ally to the government than adversary:
Ianieri was charged via a federal criminal information, which typically indicates that a defendant is cooperating with prosecutors.
In other words, keep the popcorn handy.

The only way to rid the Congress of Murtha is to take him out in cuffs. His electorate will never get rid of him.

Have you donated to William Russell today?
http://russellbrigade.com/
In an Obama-year when the “O” won PA by what, 13, 14 points, the 2nd-most powerful man in the House of Representatives “beat” a total unknown retired military man, William Russell, 57-43.
Could Russell, with better name recognition, try again in 2010 and win? Can you get 7% more, without the young “Obamabots” in the Pittsburgh/Johnstown area showing up in 2010?
If it’s a GOP year, I say yes!

Let’s give Murtha the Palin treatment. Of course, in Murtha case the difference is the ethics charges are real.
As Andrew Sullivan said about Palin today: “I sure hope her family recovers from what she has done to them.” Given all the mud he has flung, Sully deserves to burn in hell for that comment.
Well in the words of Fight Club: Her name was Sarah Palin.

It’s just so hard to choose who the most despicable figure in American public life is.
Murtha?
Reid?
Pelosi?
Barney Frank?

Maxine Waters?
Henry Waxman?
Carl Levin?
Chuck Schumer?
I long for simpler times, when Hillary was the most detestable figure on the scene.

I wonder who will run against him in 2010? It might be better for the Dems, to throw him under the bus so that his replacement has some history in time for the election. That’s, of course, if the rules in PA are the governor picking a temporary replacement until the election.

So as far as I can tell people don’t even run reasonable campaigns against the guy. However…after taking a poll of some of my friends (sample size 3-4, margin of error probably huge) they agreed that our other illustrious senator, Debbie Stabenow, is worse. PA is a state whose votes are counted by software developed by a company incorporated with help from Hugo Chavez’ VP and ambassador to the US, funded by a loan from Chavez’ government in return for 28% of the profits they earned when Chavez gave them a multi-million-dollar contract to fix his 2004 recall election, and whose board included Chavez’ elections advisor.
The company, Bizta, paid back the loan and was then bought by Smartmatic, a company owned by the same people as Bizta. Smartmatic then bought out Sequoia Voter Systems, which had contracts for electronic voting systems for about 1/3 of our states – which were required in the HAVA of 2002 to get electronic voting systems by 2006. Sequoia provided the hardware, Smartmatic the software to count and report the votes.
When the Dubai ports deal got exposure, foreign ownership of critical national security interests in the US began to be scrutinized. In order to divert the scrutiny, Smartmatic separated financially from Sequoia – which ended the investigation (right around the same time that FARC laptops said that Obama was going to win the election).
But Smartmatic still owns the software developed by Bizta (oringinally funded by Chavez’ government) and gave Sequoia permission to use the software that is still included in the current systems. That’s the software that counts the votes in PA, CA, FL, IL, VA, NJ, NY, NV, NM, Washington DC, and 8 other states currently.
The State of CA performed tests on the Sequoia systems and found them vulnerable to manipulation even by someone without the codes. To someone with the codes – which are in the hands of Chavez’ Venezuela buddies right now – it is absolutely possible to influence the outcomes of elections, possibly without detection, according to the investigators for the State of CA.
This is why Murtha will never lose.
It’s also why Barack Obama sides with Hugo Chavez. Chavez decides who wins in 2010 and 2012, unless we cause a ruckus about this fraud before then.
I’ve been investigating this all day and intend to come up with a post with links.

There is a reason liberals get away with this crap and we need to fight back. Let’s use Saul Alinski’s rules for radicals and stop being wimps afraid to be criticized. Even members of our own party seem to whine when we come out and call out a lib.
We need to be MORE like Ann Coulter…Ted Kennedy IS a killer, Obama IS a marxist who is covering up his authentic birth certificate and school records, John Kerry IS a fraud who faked his medals and slandered nam vets. The left DOES believe in killing babies who would live outside the womb…and they are proud of it. Killing live babies is like clipping a mole to the far left.

Funny thing, people who got signatures for the republican, manion, or the independent Lingenfelter got a whole round of subpeanas, probably from Murphy. We were out at the time so the dirtball subpeana server couldn’t connect with us.
In the last election, almost every single mannion sign in the county was slashed. I did not see the same thing with the murphy signs. I guess some murphy voters were trying to send a message.
Anyway, if Murphy goes down with murtha, I will be doing one hell of a happy dance.

I actually think that was a calculated move. Liberals LOVE it when whitey is demonized as racists….especially white liberals. It’s more of that unfounded guilt complex they have. Just like when Murtha accused Marines in Iraq of being cold blooded killers. Nothing brings a liberal more glee than seeing the military, America, and anglos being spit upon. The gulit is probably tied to their support for infanticide somehow.

Maybe we should arrest the electorate which keeps these a**clowns in office! Like the idiot voters of Minnesota, none of whom now will admit to voting for Al Franken…or was it only the rotten nuts at ACORN? We suffer here in New England because of the generous entitlement programs attracting too many “new” voters. Thankfully though and even in spite of that, people like Chris Dodd are suddenly in jeopardy (hooray!!!). There is a special level in hell for these people.
I do take heart, at least here in the Northeast, I am seeing people surreptitiously removing all their Obama and yes we can bumper stickers. Apparently their conviction only goes so far as they see falling wages, rising prices and unemployment, and promise after promise broken.

Take California for example. The state is in ruins; but do you think they will ever vote in people who are not of the chosen class? The same applies to the northeast. You can write off those sections of our nation as a lost cause.
Hell, the productive people are leaving those areas to spread their brand of income confiscating/coruption ridden/fascist PC imposing/statist policies to our beloved south and southwest.
Goodeye_Closed on July 8, 2009 at 11:06 AM
I don’t think we’re absorbing the reality here.
A Venezuelan company (Bizta) incorporated with help from Chavez’ VP and ambassador to the US, given seed money by Chavez’ government in return for 28% of the profits, given a bribe-bought contract to turn a Chavez loss by a landslide according to exit polls into a 20% win after the computer codes “counted the votes”, containing Chavez’ electoral advisor on its board….. currently holds the code for the program responsible for counting votes and reporting the results in a third of our states – including many of the most populous.
The State of California commissioned a university program to try to manipulate results in a month-long test of the system’s security. They came up with multiple ways to do so, even without the code. Those who have the code have the passwords, etc and can do whatever they want.
The State of NJ asked Princeton (?) researchers to test the system and were told by Smartmatic (the company which bought Bizta, owned by the same people as Bizta) that if anyone accessed the code and/or reported on its vulnerabilities it would be a violation of the contract and they would be sued, because Smartmatic retained the intellectual property rights of the code.
Smartmatic is doing the same thing with its code that Obama is doing with his birth certificate: to have the job they’re supposed to have to prove their qualifications. But they hide behind laws giving them the only right to authorize inspection of the information needed to qualify themselves.
They’re playing “chicken”. Unless and until we tell them that if they’re going to hide their eligibility/qualifications then they can’t have the job, we’re screwed.
We can talk about poll numbers and how the voters will throw out the bad guys, etc…. but the reality right now is, we can’t. Period. Hugo Chavez and his buddies decide who wins the presidency and a large part of Congress, including California, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.
Obama had to side with the Iranian regime because if people get the idea that we know better than the official tallies what the sentiment of the nation is, then we might question results like that of Murtha – where he was way down in polls immediately before but still won by 13%.
And he had to side with Chavez over Honduras because Chavez decides who is president in 2012.
He also had to side against the legitimate Honduran government because if people get the idea that a Constitution can be enforced even if the minute details of who is supposed to do it and how aren’t spelled out in the Constitution, then we might have the guts to do it here too.
This stuff is all connected. It’s a python looped around our neck and if we don’t realize it right now and do something about it right now, all our talk of using the electoral process is just a waste of time. The free martket, the rule of law, Constitutional checks and balances and separation of powers, the electoral process… it’s all history now. The processes that make us America are no longer in place.
