How many mulligans does the electorate get? What if the Presidency comes with a probation period like every other job in America and, at the six-month review, America calls Obama into its figurative office and tells him that it just isn’t working out and Friday will be his last day. Wouldn’t that be sweet.

Exactly my situation also; one in college, one a senior at Reed Point High. We are west coast transplants, having made the move in 2005. Absolutely love the slower pace of life here, as well as the family oriented people of Montana.

Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping… Love it here!

Yeah, my family and I are east coast transplants (about 15 years ago), and we think Bozeman is pretty special. I’m just slightly familiar with your neck of the woods, but that’s some beautiful country, too.

One kid is in college and the other’s a senior, so I get to hear what the young people think about Obama, too.

I can confirm what you have said. I’d estimate about 60-65% of the ones I know are starting to question his policies contrasted with about 75-80% who favored accepting them without reservation just after the election.

Basically, what the young people here are saying is simply that Obama has not held up to his promises of a transparent government, no lobbyist, reduction of the national dept, and open to the public government.

Really, I’m not making that crap up. These young people are calling it pretty close to the mark. Another hot topic for discussion is Obama’s arrogance and narcissist behavior.

Actually, Joe said the Obama administration is 100% in favor of Iran building nukes and wiping out Israel with them.

I’m in Bozeman, too. The few remaining cars that I see with hope-and-change bumper stickers all seem to be in the parking lots at MSU or in the teachers’ lot at BHS.

Then there was the Green Coalition of Gay Loggers for Jesus that marched Saturday to protest the Tea Party march. (Heh.) Seemed as though most of the 50 (at best) or so that showed up were old hippies.

Seems like all those pro-Mousavi people might have gone to Joe’s head, even if they haven’t gotten the attention of The Twelfth Imam Hussein Obama yet.

That sounds promising. I’m curious what the college kids are saying right now. I guess the prospect of no jobs waiting for them after graduation is sobering.

The real challenge will be getting them all to admit that Obama and Congress is to blame and not the boogeyman they call Bush.

Surely they aren’t thinking of asking for more money.

“…asking for more money.” ??? They don’t, and won’t ask. They have enough votes to ram it through. If you recall, NOBODY reads these bills, not the first Porkulus bill and not Crap ‘n Raid.

Right. When the teachers all go back to work Obama will treat that as jobs created. Of course, he may supplement that with a stimulus package to underwrite the hiring of an army of useless teachers’ aides who will then be on the public payroll receiving a living wage and gold-plated medical benefits in return for serving in a capacity in which they’re unqualified to serve. In effect, they’ll be much like mafia-style no-show jobs in construction projects.

So what’s the deal? Surely they aren’t thinking of asking for more money.
