Don’t be too quick to blame all liberals for this excrescence. It was a lefty who tipped me to it, and more than one lefty who follows me on Twitter chimed in to agree that it’s repellent. Arianna’s crew was reasonably quick about flushing it, too. But lest you have any doubt that attacks on her family might indeed have weighed heavily in Sarahcuda’s decision to resign, feast your eyes on this screencap. Frankly, I’m amazed she hung in this long. Click the image to enlarge.
Update: Erik Nelson, the author, claims that he pulled it down himself because “No one was seeing the absurdity of Palin hiding behind her children, so my piece was not accomplishing anything good.”

But it is not sexist to think that someone, {male or female} might say to hell with it when their family is being attacked like that. I have never seen anything this extreme in years of watching politics.

I meet Megan at a campaign rally last year was within 5 feet of her (Take that ALLAH!) and found her to be a strong young lady and very charming. But she really should stay out of politics it isnt her future.
Oddly I was in Dayton Ohio where McCain put Sarah out in the publics eye for the first time. It was a electric feeling. I might have problems with McCain for his veiws but he did do the GOP a service. Even Romney and others have moved a little more right thanks to Sarah showing them the way to go.

Name me one other politician, that has ever had to put up with the hate, vitriol, and uncalled for attacks, that Palin, and her family have put up with. Even though their candidate won, they couldn’t leave well enough alone, and still aren’t.
I listened to her resignation speech. She gave specifics, as to why she’s stepping down. It’s costing the taxpayers to much in money, and time, with her, their governor, constantly having to battle law suits against her, rather than her do her job to the fullest. Her family has taken hits, constantly. She mentioned Trig specifically. This was not hard to understand, so where any confusion comes from is beyond me.
I think it’s repugnant, insipid, stupid, and truly ugly, of those who took part in the attacks on this woman, and her family. I have only one thing to say. The power of Karma is great, and it always works it’s way back to balancing things out. So be on the look out. If you participated in this kind of crap….it will find you! I hope you are shown mercy when it does.

I actually went to bed thinking about this and Sarah. And woke up again outraged! The left has finally jumped the shark! They chased a good woman with a good normal family out of public office with their hatred. Surely somewhere there has to be some Karma for this. What do they hate anyway? Goodness? Normalness? Uh… they’ve already decided. That’s why the interest rate on T-bills rose a full point within the last few months — nobody wants to buy our debt.
The train wreck is already scheduled, we’re just waiting for the loud noise.
What we need to prepare for, though, is the attempt at full socialist takeover when the wreck occurs. Obama is likely to pull what Zelaya attempted to pull in Honduras. I suspect he has a better chance of success. We need to begin preparing now for the takeover bid that will surely occur then.
