If she’s so sissy she can’t take the heat as governor of Alaska, how on earth could she possibly handle the media and bogus complaints she’d get on a national level?

She’s toast. She will never in a billion years become president. If she does, hell will freeze over, the world will end, and she won’t have a chance to quit before her first presidential term is over, because the Lord himself will have shut things down. Let me be more clear. You have never liked her. You have always put her down in your posts. Erratic? How much more of a beating did the woman have to take before you would actually PRAISE her or appreciate exactly what it was that she meant to real conservatives and not an excuse bent Rino such as yourself?

I never really bought into the notion that fear drives all liberal rants, but maybe it’s true. Maybe those idiots are just really afraid of her?

Her brother may be nervous about being in national media. How about that? Some people have shaky voices when nervous duh.

Your logic, is absent, along with your reading and comprehension skills. This isn’t in any way related to the scenario you describe.

I believe that she has resigned to remove the ability of the Leftists to file ethics charge after ethics charge, all without any consequence to them, but with plenty of consequence (financially)for the Alaska taxpayer and herself.

She has removed the handle by which they have been jerking her around and pinning her down. She is now free to focus on building some unity and providing some leadership for the Republican Party. Will she run for President in 2012? I have no idea, but I bet she can be a big booster and fund raiser for other candidates.

Terryannonline, you say she can just use the money from her book sales to pay her mounting legal bills. Spoken like a true Leftist. Why should she be forced to throw her finances away on defending herself from scurrilous and frivolous lawsuits? I’m sure you’d be willing to do that if you were in her situation. Right? A fair point. I think most politicians would just say, “That’s politics for you,” and let the state deal with it.

I think that approach just seemed wrong to Palin. Besides, I think resigning as governor, much as it hurts, promises to her the ability to really campaign.

More than that, I think she sees that the greatest need in the country right now is to take back Congress in 2010. And she would be able to contribute nothing towards that if she is serving as governor.

Of course, she may not share my sense of urgency about the need to take control of Congress. But I suspect she does. And I have a feeling that once she’s no longer governor, she’ll start campaigning for a lot of Republicans in Congressional races.

As the campaign heats up for the 2010 elections, we should know how much of that is accurate, and how much is wishful thinking.

You are either a Leftist, or a Troll…but I repeat myself. The money in the State of Alaska’s Treasury belongs to the Alaskan Taxpayer, not to the State. The State government is entrusted to use that money wisely, defending the Governorship from serial and frivolous (please note the proper spelling) ethics lawsuits (this is known as Lawfare) is not an optimum use of the Taxpayers funds, even if they’re awash in money.

Regardless of what YOU find easy to believe or not, it was costing her money and the State of Alaska doesn’t (at this time) impose any consequences on filers of frivolous lawsuits. Go away, Troll.

By that logic, why don’t we all just convert to Wahabbi Islam? That way, Al Qaeda won’t want to kill us anymore and we can stop spending so much money on anti-terrorism stuff. All this does is embolden the complaint makers.

Last I heard, she has millions (or something like that) in legal bills. Team Sarah sent around an email asking for donations.

My guess is that she’s resigning so that the legal pressure can stop and she can really start fundraising (perhaps in the lower 48) for her bills. She may be Governor, but that job does not pay well enough to leave her with hundreds of thousands of dollars floating around.
