I don’t know if she’s ever going to run for office again or not. Actually, I’d say she won’t. But most people can recognize how Palin-Hate has become a national pastime, and what she’s been put through.

She didn’t quit, she’s repositioning to higher ground for the coming battle.

This move is brilliant and is designed to go around the Republican Beltway Boys. Just like the Germans trotted around, the Maginot Line defenses in WWII, instead of getting bogged down and possibly losing in a head-on offensive. It’s a military offensive tactic 101.

No! We’ll do no such thing! It appears you have already made up your mind. If you were interested you could google her record yourself. That you don’t suggests either apathy or an inherent hostility towards her that no facts would change.

I have, many times. How do you think I got all of the information I mentioned? “Apathy”? I think not. “Inherent hostility”? Um, no. I have no reason to be hostile towards her. I only pity those who vote based upon how “down to earth” the candidate is instead of analyzing a candidate’s political philosophy, holistic foreign policy, and view of the U.S. Constitution and their words and deeds supporting them.

You may not understand why people like her, but I can not understand why people feel the need to be so mindlessly hateful about her. Maybe she is just too American.

It’s very obvious that logic is no longer taught in American schools. “Hateful”? What was hateful about what I’d said? “Just too American”? Implying what? Am I “unAmerican” for thinking independently, which is to say, neither Democrat or Republican, for applying standards to all political candidates, even the ones others may think “likable” or “all-American”?
If I could, before every political debate, I’d require the following of any candidate:
In 500-word answers, I’d love for each candidate to answer the following:
1. What is the role of the President?
2. What is the role of Congress and the Supreme Court?
3. What is the purpose of government?
4. What role, if any, should the government play in the economy?
5. What is your foreign policy, not in reference to any particular country, but as a holistic policy?
6. What is the role of the military, and how would you use it?
7. From where do you derive your world view?
8. Is the Constitution a “living” document? If so, how?
9. What are your views on state vs. federal roles?
10. What is the most just and revenue-maximizing form of taxation?
11. What makes you qualified for this position?
12. How would you improve the American education system?
13. When does life begin?
14. How would you increase national security?
15. What is your vision for the nation?
But hey, asking such questions is just too unAmerican these days.
