Why worry about what others call you? If your convictions are true, their labels are unimportant. Or are you just a big ole’ wuss?

Why is everything about the black culture always come down to sex? At a funeral? Pathetic.

Well…as an attendee of a black church, there’s sometimes an admitted VERY thin line between the dancing in the aisles and the dancing in the clubs…Often people are just replacing shouts of “Hell Yeah!” for “Hallelujah”

I’ve been looking at this pic on Drudge for three days now and will not watch the video. I have bad enough eyes and really don’t want to go blind.

Word. He’s strictly old-school so he was trying to get the bump going. She, being younger, thought he wanted to freak dance, and that’s when he put it in reverse. Y’all need to get out more.

I don’t expect mass mourning for celebrities or entertainers. I also don’t understand it. I don’t get the need to put teddy bears, notes and flowers out for people that I do not know.

Michael Jackson’s accomplishments separate him from other celebrities. He sold out the 50 date tour he was going to do before he died in five hours (750,000 tickets). Name an entertainer today that can do that (no one). Here’s a bit of a response that someone posted on another web site that sums up to people who don’t understand the impact of Michael Jackson’s death had on people.

“As to mourning celebrities I think for the most part it’s mourning a part of your own life rather than the celebrity themselves. We associate celebrities and celebrity events with parts of our own histories – those of us who remember waiting to see Thriller on TV the first time it aired for example, it was a real event and most of us inextricably link that night, those feelings, to a happier time in our younger lives. Same goes for Farrah Fawcett, Dom DeLuise and on and on. We didn’t know the celebrities, we only knew of media snapshots which is certainly not the same thing so how can we genuinely mourn for them? We are actually mourning what their contributions meant to US.”
