Video: More Palin-bashing from the media

It hardly will move the Shock-O-Meter for most people on the Right, but since this came during what has been described as MS-NBC’s “conservative” three hours, it’s worth a look. Mike Allen of Politico, Willy Geist, and Joe Scarborough tag-team off of Vanity Fair’s ho-hum hit piece on Sarah Palin to throw a bunch of rehashed ad hominem attacks at Palin. “Joke,” “circus act,” “Dan Quayle” all appear as the three men get their 3:45 Hate in today’s show:
Mike Allen acts especially perturbed by the fact that — ohmygosh — people still actually want her to appear at fundraisers! He says this in the same tone of voice he might use in describing the Flat Earth Society or a reported chupacabra sighting. None of these men offer a reason for Palin to go into hiding and wear a political burqa except for their ad hominems, or explain why a governor of any state doesn’t belong at fundraisers for their political party. California just went broke; do you think these men would tell Arnold Schwarzenegger to stay home and out of fundraisers until they stop issuing IOUs? Do you think any of these three would dare?
Patrick Hynes makes a great point about the source of the latest anti-Palin nuttiness — the McCain staffers who keep wanting to shift blame off of themselves:
Look, I worked on the McCain campaign. Palin had her shortcomings, but she also brought some incredible strengths to the campaign. And perhaps the McCain staffers who continue to trash the governor are deflecting attention away from how remarkably screwed up and dysfunctional the operation was even before the Palin pick. What I don’t understand is this: Why would anyone hire a bunch of campaign staffers after watching how viciously they are attacking their former employer?
I’m pretty sure none of the obvious sources on this story will work on national campaigns again, not after the backbiting and disloyalty they’ve put on display for the rest of the world to see.

As I wrote on the OTHER Palin thread (you don’t see two Romney or Pawlenty threads in one day around here, do you? Sort of tells you something about which candidate is more compelling?), the conflict within the Republican Party right now is a repeat of the 1964-1980 conflict that occured between the Rockefeller wing of the Party and the Goldwater/Reagan wing.
Mitt represents the Rockefeller wing, Palin has siezed the high ground and inherited Reagan’s mantle.
I know who wins this fight.

Can’t you just smell the fear? Where America didn’t see the brother of Hugo, Fidel, Raul and Ortega and elected him the Libs can see a strong American Patriotic female ready to take names & kick Butt (theirs). She could restore our nation and that’s what causes their fear and panic. GO SARAH!

Well guess what Palinbot neocons, SHE SUPPORTS GIVING OUR WATERS TO THE UNITED NATIONS!
From the Global Solutions site…
Not to mention the countless stories of Palin’s dysfunctional family pointed out by Debbie Schlussel, whom some of you neocon dummies have dismissed!
To me, only Ron Paul and Chuck Baldwin HAVE WHAT IT TAKES to get this country to follow the US Constitution, which is what many politicos and bloggers HAVE POOPED BLOOD ON!
The corporate fascist dinosaur media, fed by their trolls on Madison Avenue, Hollywood and Vine, Rodeo Drive, PA Avenue, and South Beach…DAMAGED BEYOND ANY REPAIR! These famous streets I have mentioned are if I may quote Green Day, The Boulevards of Broken Dreams.

Those prep meetings for MSNBC talk shows must really be a howl.

Is this the only way for MSNBC to get ratings?
.
It is always good to know the latest from MSNBC talk shows isn’t it?

I just look on the Drudge Report when I want to find out if they came in last place again or one position up from the bottom of the audience count ratings. Alas, I have not been surprised yet.

Hell no! They are not working on it. I used to think it was out of sheer stupidity, but now realize it is part of the plan.
Get it?
They are all in bed. Thay are Progressives who would dramatically change this country as we know it. They are in power now and have rigged the elctoral system to keep themselves in power and only elect more of the same.
Wake up!
The two party system is a shame being used to futher a Progressive adgenda no matter which one you vote for.
We MUST vote in reformers who would run on and institute TERM LIMITS on the Judiciary the Congress and Senate so that never again can a shadow party take over America.
Why are both sides hammering Palin? She is a reformer an ousider NOT a Progressive big Governmant gal.
WE NEED A THOUSAND MORE SARAHS!

[This didn't post the first time so I'm trying agains.]
I suspect it directly relates to their irrational fear of the mythic vagina dentata . Palin could eat these guys alive but not in that mythic way.
Being male blowhards, they don’t know how to think of Sarah Palin in a non-sexual way — which is probably another reason they can’t stop talking about her. Chaep thrills.
Broken down to its most basic, this is disguised locker room chatter by three sexually immature middle-aged men. They’re trying to subjugate her with words because they fear they can’t “stand up” to her in real life. In simnplest terms, theirs is a failed attempt at the old dominance/submission game. And Sarah will not be dominated.

Both parties have been taking us to the same place; one by train, the other by jet… That’s a fact we all must realize.
RINO’s and Liberals; different masks, same human.
RINO’s and Liberals; together they have the same disdain for Palin and her kind of “old school” traditionalists, those who resemble the same kind of passion for America as did Ronald Reagan. Thus the “we must leave the era of Reagan” mantra on display from so called Republicans.
No money for the GOP from my family. I will support Conservative candidates only, and I will choose where my money goes and whom it goes to.

About 200 years from now, if mankind is still civilized, people are going to be reading in the history books on how Sarah Palin was mercilessly attacked by the idiotic media, and the only question that will forever remain unanswered was what exactly did this sensible, smart, intelligent woman do to invoke such out and out hatred.
Do any of these assclowns in the media even consider for one brief moment in their shallow lives how history is going to view their actions years and years from now, long after they are all dust in the wind?
Do they even care?

Nice of him to wake up and actually make some newsworthy comments, like he supports Iranian dissenters or is against cap and tax or govt run health care, SOMETHING better than tanned, rested and ready. We don’t need another country club loser nominee.

The media remains the number one enemy of conservatives. They gave us Obama. They handed us McCain. Mike Allen has yet to provide a single ounce of insight, thoughtfulness or a unique thought on anything….
Whatever….yawn….

The only reason to watch Morning Joe is to see Mika Brzezinski solidify her status at the top of the AM MILF chart. Her constant attempt to seduce the camera is enhanced if one turns down the volume so you can at least pretend her comments are anything but inane. Even so, about 5 seconds is all I can stand….and I have to punch out and gasp for oxygen.
Now we know, some deep sea crustaceans, a few plants and various worm like creatures join the set of Morning Joe as the only life forms on earth able to survive in an environment completely devoid of oxygen.

Joe Scarborough has moved into the same class as Shuster, Matthews, Olby and Maddow. How this man was once part of the GOP resurgence 1994 is beyond me. He is now totally bought and paid for by GE. I don’t even care about the other arse’s on the panel.
Best comment I’ve seen in the last 24 hours on HA:

Why does anyone watch MSNBC? Or read Vanity Fair? I would not know about these creeps if they didn’t show up in Hot Air clips. I still don’t know about them, because I refuse to watch such drivel.
Sarah is on the march. Everything she says and does shows it. These bedwetters are just stark raving mad and can’t wait to lash out. In my heart of hearts I know she is going to run. She pulled herself together after McCain and knows she can fix this. No one on the Republican side can touch her. She will run as a Republican, but her appeal will cross party lines.
I just laugh out loud when commenters here talk about her lack of foreign policy experience. Can those great Wizards of Foreign policy, Clinton, Obama, and Biden keep us safe? Do they have a coherent policy? I haven’t seen it.
Right now she is traveling and visiting our troops in Germany, Bosnia and the Middle East. The little footage that has come out of there was done by our troops on camera phones. They love her. They also know that she takes them seriously and appreciates their service. They love their country enough to actually fight for it and so does she.
No one else is out there fighting for us right now. We do have Boehner and DeMint, but she is the one that is actually traveling around and showing the American people that all is not lost. Watch and listen. There is hope. Real hope that you can count on.

Does anyone plan on actually doing anything to stop it? Or use their own actions against them to make them look foolish? They’re wrong here, and they’re not just wrong about Sarah Palin. They’re wrong in most of the analyses they spew/regurgitate and their hard-nosed journalism is a joke, too.

In terms of viewership, MSNBC is a cable access channel. What they say matters to no one but themselves and a few conservatives going out of their way to find something to get mad about.
ABCNBCCBS nightly news is where the rubber meets the road in terms of liberal propaganda. That pablum gets drilled into the heads of 25 million slack-jaws a day. But no pundits (or bloggers) pay attention to them because they don’t do the shock jock stuff.

Keemo on July 1, 2009 at 11:06 AM

The election that I participated in saw more backbone from the lovely Governor of Alaska than anyone saw comming from McAmnesty. Indeed, he spent much more time telling America how Obama was right than he did running against our new dictator.

After a long hard day at work toiling at the factory of retaurant or office or farm or store and after then toting of the kids to some activity the average American loves nothing better than to sit down and read Vanity Fair. Actually, Vanity Fair is the perfect elitist receptacle for this sort of drivel.

The point is that, on top of the attacks from the media and the left, we have this constant friendly fire, which you are all too willing to engage in. Don’t get me wrong, the morons that voted for cap and trade, as well Specter, Snowe, and Collins deserve every thing we can throw at them for their boldfaced defections. There are more than enough targets out there without turning on those who are making a good faith effort to help the party. That may be hard for many of you, though, who have locked on to Palin so intensely and who have already decided that she’s our nominee that your willing to make enemies out of everyone else. Do you think for one moment that Nancy Pelosi would have the attitude she does if Sarah would have been VP. Do you think Harry Reid could get away with being so vaccuous? That’s why they hate Sarah so much. They would have had to be half way civilized. Their plans would have been interrupted. They know that they have to pound America into the ground fast before the country wakes up.
We may have had some of the same fights that are going down right now, but there would not be this cram down of distateful, horrifying legislation. And for the crowning glory, we would be drilling for our own oil instead of flailing around for some etherial kind of fuel that is envrionmentally friendly. It doesn’t exhist.

SARAH PALIN – 2012
byteshredder on July 1, 2009 at 11:44 AM
Gov. Palin was right to refuse some of the stimulus money. She actually read the thing and found out about having to change state laws regarding home insulation and building codes. Then along comes cap & tax and as Paul Harvey used to say, the rest of the story. If you want to sell or buy a house, it has to be brought up to the new green code. Welcome to the new govt gotcha.

These asshats crack me up when they say Sarah needs to learn economics and foreign policy.
Succesful busness woman,Governor of the most fiscally secure state in the Union.I don’t think Sarah has to learn economics.
Governor of the only state that bordres two foreign countries, spanked Greasy Joe and his 30 odd years experience on foriegn policy in the debates.Oh,by the way, just how good has America’s foreign policy been the last 30 years?I don’t think Sarah is the one who needs to learn foreign policy.
I think all these Palin bashers have to grow, borrow buy, or steal a pair and quit being afraid of a lovely lady who happens to have the strength they lack.

You don’t remember him “suspending his campaign” which made him look so senile, he can only think about one thing at a time? Thats the point I knew there was no chance in Hell he was going to win this election

At this point I hope Palin keeps quiet about her future plans – if only to continue to drive the libs and the GOP backbiters crazy.
I hate to see her try to respond to every “mean-girl” nastiness. But I also hope someone in her camp is taking names and makes sure no one who is backstabbing her comes around looking for help fundraising. Shunning is an acceptable response – why should she help those who are willing participants in trashing her?
