Yep. The same numb nuts who wanted to partition Iraq into three or more separate countries is now going to oversee Iraqi “reconciliation.”

This should be, umm, interesting?

If someone, say, for example, President Asif Ali Zardari out in Pakistan, decided to ignore the Pakistani Constitution, and the Pakistani Congress, and the Pakistani Supreme Court, and declared himself President for Life…should the United States as a matter of national policy give him support?

I said “disband”, but what I really meant was that after the collapse, Obama will “de-fund” the military – and the Democrats in Congress will gleefully help him do it. And when he turns around and asks for a trillion dollars to fund his “Citizen Corps”, I suspect that more than a few RINOS will join in in the name of patriotism.

It’s boiling the frog. Would the American military revolt at the “innocent” act of cutting their purse strings? I doubt it. Technically, that’s one of the very few parts of the Revolution that won’t be overtly un-Constitutional.

Central America would be a good place to start. We can overthrow the Supreme Court and National Legislature of a country, violate their constitution, and install a wise Latino who, like Fidel and Hugo, would make better decisions than any Rethuglican. Yes we can!

That article brings up an important point: What does Obama plan to do about the military? There’re never going to buy off on the second round of his “restructuring” plan.

I don’t see Obama as having anything like Stalin’s organizational skill; so a massive officer purge is probably out of the question.

I think that after the economic collapse, he’ll completely disband the military as “an expense we can no longer afford.” Then replace it with that shadow military he talked about during the campaign. He’ll kinda sorta claim it has something to do with border security, but it’ll be set up as his own personal Praetorian Guard.

There’s a joke about a man who tells a psychiatrist, “Everybody hates me,” to which the psychiatrist responds, “That’s ridiculous – everyone doesn’t know you, yet.” Which brings me to Barack Obama: one of the best-informed people in the American security establishment told me the other day that the president is a “Manchurian Candidate”.
