Imagine Obama issuing an executive order to have the military distribute questionnaires asking the US public if they would favor reform to the constitution to allow indefinite terms for president, either through amendment or a constitutional convention. (Obama says its non-binding, just a fancy poll or survey, no harm, right?). After the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff refuses to do so, Obama fires him. The democrat controlled congress, who fear Obama is attempting to increase executive powers to near-dictator levels, take it to the Supreme Court. The US Supreme Court declares it illegal for Obama to use the military to conduct said survey, issues an order to restore the Chairman to the JCoS and that the survey violates established laws for amendments to the constitution and orders the forms confiscated. Obama has members of ACORN raid the storage facility and steal, then distribute, the survey, to conduct the survey in violation of the court order. SCOTUS orders the president arrested. Obama is arrested in the morning at the white house. The Congress offers Obama a plea bargain, no trail and no jail time, if he and Biden resign, clearing the way for Speaker of the House to assume the presidency (Not N. Pelosi... that would kill the analogy). Obama accepts and is taken to Canada. In Canada, Obama says that the Police (military) stormed the white house, took him by force to Canada in a Coup. He never agreed to resign.

I honestly don't know what I will do if Obama actually meets with this ass in Washington. I am heading down there today on personal business and I might just make a one-woman protest. We MUST stand with the people of Honduras and their enforcement of their own Constitution! I feel very strongly about this.

President Alvaro Uribe of Colombia stands with democracy and against Zelaya and Chavez!!!!

Says the principal of non-intervention is the one that needs to guide the actions of all nations with regards to the Honduran situation. Basically says that this is a Honduran internal matter and all outside actors need to butt out

I've been playing catch-up on this story because I was tied up when it broke. Your posts about the issues at stake, quoting the provisions of the Honduran Constitution that Zelaya violated, have been invaluable in understanding what is actually going on.

Just wanted to say I appreciate it.

I'm off to bed now.

This is what we want. We ask the international community to take a closer look of our situation, and not allow other states such as Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and Ecuador, to interfere with what we have chosen.

You know what they say - history may not always repeat but it sure rhymes a lot.

That's a good one, is it original?

Zelaya accused of drug ties

The regime that ousted Manuel Zelaya in Honduras claimed Tuesday that the deposed president allowed tons of cocaine to be flown into the Central American country on its way to the United States.

Skywise on June 30, 2009 at 7:28 PM

Wouldn't it be hilarious if it turns out that Zelaya is Obama's coke dealer? I'd be giggling off and on for a week!

I think that if enough of the American media would actually cover this story fairly, without relying on the Associated Press, (I'm talking about you, Fox News!), the Honduran government could easily win this dispute with Chavez's lackey, Obama, in the eyes of the American' people.

This issue could be very damaging to Obama.

If Obama got “played” by Chavez, Obama wouldn’t simply surrender and continue to allow himself to be played by Chavez indefinitely.

Any man, upon the realization that he's been "played", would retaliate in some way, not only to erase the advantage achieved by the "player", but to actually reverse it.

Good work, Barry. You got played.

That analysis is clearly wrong even under cursory examination. If Obama got "played" by Chavez, Obama wouldn't simply surrender and continue to allow himself to be played by Chavez indefinitely. Is he supposed to be Chavez's b!tch forever now that he's been played once?

Absurd. Obama wasn't played in the slightest. Besides, we already know that Obama wasn't taken by surprise in all of this. He was aware of this even before it happened, supposedly.

Yes. Along those same lines, young people have been convinced, not only that individual liberty exists apart from private property rights (which is a bad enough notion in and of itself) but that private property rights actually infringe on individual liberties. It's just crazy, and very sad.

We have to get these problems taken care of before Man starts colonizing space, because that is going to determine quite a lot for a long time. The world got lucky that Britain colonized with capitalist ventures, instead of how others did, by royal/state action. Otherwise, the US never would have been born. The same will be at stake as we head into space.

Sorry about drifting way out, but I think this is closer than we feel, and when I looked at our space treaties, I was horrified to see how they established an overarching anti-capitalist framework for all of space. But space is where the next race really is. Whoever gets there first, in size, wins.

My sister posted for me a list I compiled just to remind all of us what we’ve been through in the last (almost) 6 months. It’s at http://veritasbelt.blogspot.com

35. Appointed as “Terrorism Czar” John Brennan, the CEO of a security company whose employee illegally accessed Obama’s passport files. His employee was the the only one of 3 who accessed Obama’s file who was not fired for doing so. Obama has also put Brennan in charge of changing the computer process for printing passports. Passport records are some of the documents Obama has spent close to a million dollars on lawyers to hide from the American public.

Where are some righteous CIA or DIA agents when we need them?

For God’s sake, he’s a communist.
Obama hasn’t been played by Chavez, he’s a player!
We’re the ones who have been played.

Obama was getting ready to set-up his secret drug gangs. Hugo is the supplier,
Honduras was the way point and America the biggest market of all. Obama is another Frank Lucas - the American Gangster. Billions in unmarked bills goes a long way to pay off your friends & enemies.
