The ditbag POTUS wanted to install a dictatorship in Honduras like the one his BFF Evil Clown has next door. This is worse than anything they ever accused Reagan of during Iran-Contra. Why hasn't anyone written an article comparing the two yet?

One of the things that concerns me is Obama saying he had been in close contact with Zelaya in the days before he was removed from office and now is calling it a coup and a violation of the Rule of Law when clearly it was neither. The Hondurian Congress had declared that he had violated the constitutional law, requiring his removal from office. The Supreme court had found him guilty of the violation which is quite clearly stated in their constitution and effectively said he had lost his right to be president and was to be removed. The military made the arrest as the proper authority to do so and Zelaya was given the option of being processecuted under the law, or to resign and be exiled to a country of his choice. His claim to still be president is without standing either under the Hondurian constitutional law or his resignation, yet Obama still is supporting his claim to be the legitimate president of Honduras and denouncing the legitmancy of the constitutional Hondarian law that removed him. Considering the mild response of not meddling in the Iranian election, which effectively created a dictatorship, and his strong reaction to the removal of the Hondurian President, who he had been in contact with; I wonder just how involved is Obama with Zelaya, and by extention, with Chavez? The Hondarian goverment has stated that they were concerned that Zelaya was attempting to establish a socialist or communist government. Considering Chavez threat of a military invasion to return Zelaya to the presidency, that is not without credibilty.

so, if things escalate, is there some way that we can donate our money to the cause of democracy in honduras, even if the dipshit in charge won't? Because to be very serious, even if our "president" sides with chavez, I'd give of my own earnings to defend freedom.

Right or wrong in the details, I don’t see the Army storming the palace gates as a good thing.

athensboy on June 29, 2009 at 7:22 AM

The details really don't matter to you? What matters more is the unquestioned, unchallenged abuse of power? That is tyranny. That is absolutely why Obama condemns it (the challenging of Zelaya). Just as he condemns our/his Constitution.

Follow the rule of man and you have tyranny with explicit support from the likes of athensboy and fellow Obama supporters. Follow the rule of law and you get a just and responsible society. Consent of the governed. Republic.
