These guys aren’t “friends” they are combatants, Kerry tried to take her down a notch, and he got stepped on. And she got defended, enough is enough…they (the liberals) should learn to lead, and not turn around and attack. The joke basically suggested that the political world would be better off if Sarah Palin was off the radar and not in the picture, if she got lost, so what!

That was Kerry’s attitude and for the haughty John Kerry par for the course. Sarah’s supporters had every right to be indignant.

The main fly in the ointment with your premise is found in Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”. The attacks on Sarah Palin are straight out of Alinsky’s Playbook.

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

So, the attacks on Palin, as I mentioned before are beginning to fall into a pattern. What is particularly disgusting is that many of them are aimed at her children.

One thing that Alinsky doesn’t account for is that bullying only works when you allow yourself to be bullied. Just like a school bully who continues to push kids around. However the day he gets a roundhouse kick to the head, he suddenly realizes that bullying can cause pain both ways.

Palin is responding with the classic “cause pain for your attacker”. I’m happy to join in on that with things like emailing and calling lettermans’ bosses and sponsors.

Look at the people the “pukes” on the East Coast elect: Snowe, Kennedy, Specter, Biden, Clinton, Mikowski. That says a lot.

All roads lead to Rome just like all episodes of smears, mockery, vilification, disinformation or propaganda levelled against Sarah Palin directly or directly lead back to the Obama war room, whether it is spewed by the Far Left blogosphere (nutroots), the MSM, political pundits, the MSM, the entertainment industry or local anklebiters in Alaska.

Before the 1980 camapign started Carter and his team were certain that Reagan would pose the least problem for Carter to get re-elected.

If the last election is any indication, let’s all pray – if she does run, she stays true to conservative values. She is going to be pummeled by the left and right, and my HOPE again, is that whoever the nominee is, can remember that America as a whole is conservative and we CANNOT let this madness continue past 2010, much less 2012.

And off topic, time to pick up the phones and dial your Senators, looks like the pressure cooker is on for Cap and Trade.

If 70,000 Ohioans had changed their votes in 2004, this jerk would have been president from 2005-2009, at least. America dodged a bullet.

1. Most of them are aimed at her children, especially her minor children..

2. They are phrased in the form of a ‘joke’ that allows some plausable deniability if there is backlash.

I can just picture axlerod or dead fish emanuell picking up the phone to someone and saying “OK.. Your turn.. here’s what you are going to say. … Yeah, we’ll let you know if you have to backtrack.. you’ll just apologize half assedly and say it was a joke”.
