You are not going to get the same level of support for your concerns for one simple reason – the young are not on your side. It is always the young who start and promulgate such protests, and they want the money being offered.

On July 2nd a one day national picketing of congressional offices will occur. Why isn’t this a daily protest. I picketed my tax and spend senator for a week, but could get no organizational support to continue.

Ayatollah Ahmed Khatami, a senior cleric, said during nationally broadcast Muslim sermon on Friday that the government should punish “leaders of the riots, who were supported by Israel and the U.S., strongly and with cruelty.”

He then contradicts himself when he says this…

He alleged that an icon of the protests, Neda Agha Soltan, was killed by protesters, not Iranian security forces quelling unrest. “Forces of the government do not shoot at a lady standing in a side street,” he said of Soltan, who was shot to death a week ago.

Yea right.
