Many years ago, more than I care to remember, my father donated to Greenpeace. We all had adorable save the baby seals t-shirts. Then Greenpeace went after the US Navy. Daddy’s generosity dried up instantly. Priorities. One can love and care about the environment without being lunatics. Now he pretty much sticks with recycling and yelling at the grandkids to turn off the lights when they leave the room.

You don't destroy real economies based on hypothetical hysterias posing as Science. Whether populational or climatological. Real Science is cautious, skeptical, and conservative. And blisteringly scornful of these messianic enthusiasms posing as Certainty. There is no Certainty with Science, only better and better maybes. Eco-Absolutists, who want to derail our Civilization for a theory, fail to understand what Science means. A contest of educated guesses. There are competing guesses that will no be silenced. The actual warming hasn't even begun to hit these frauds. It'll scorch their pretentions.

Ahhh, the environmentalists speak –if it isn’t a perfect, utopian solution it isn’t good enough for them.

Nuclear energy isn’t perfect -it must be opposed.
Cleaner coal plants aren’t perfect -they must be opposed.
The Waxman amendment isn’t perfect -it must be opposed.
So let’s stop making any progress at all on cheaper, cleaner energy because its still not perfect…

These guys have no sense of reality. As I’ve said before, their opposition to improvements have done more damage to the environment over the last few decades than anything they’ve protested against would have done.

The only “science” involved in this cap & trade fiasco is political science.
