Oh my: David Obey and Maxine Waters in shoving match on House floor?

In an alternate universe, Obey’s a Republican and this is page-one fodder for days as proof of what violent racist misogynists all conservatives are.
What a special “Special Comment” that would have been. Alas for poor Olbermann, this is blue on blue.
The incident stemmed from Rep. Obey’s refusal to fund an earmark that Rep. Waters requested, sources told FOX…
Obey tried to walk away from Waters, but she continued to browbeat the Appropriations Committee Chairman and followed him around the House floor, according to reports. “She was in his face,” a source said.Other media reported that the altercation evolved into a “shoving match.” Those reports could not be confirmed. Ellis Brachman, a spokesman for Obey said that Waters “accosted” his boss and “made a scene.” Attempts to reach Waters for comment were unsuccessful.
More from The Hill:
“You’re out of line,” Waters shot while walking down toward the well.
“You’re out of line,” Obey shot back before turning and walking away.
But then Obey stopped, turned back toward Waters, and shouted; “I’m not going to approve that earmark!”
Obey turned away, but Waters went to go huddle with members of the Congressional Black Caucus. She could be over heard telling them; “He touched me first.”…
A Waters aide said that Obey had pushed her.
Waters is an idiot but Obey’s irascible jackassery seems to be getting worse the past few years, from an infamous tirade directed at Dennis Kucinich to now allegedly shoving women colleagues. What’s his damage?

Much like piglets shoving each other aside as they fight for the tits of the sow.

The only reasonable way to settle this is to give them both pistols and count off 10 paces…the winner is a murderer and goes to “f*ck me in the a$$ prison” for the rest of their life.

Obey was a Republican… something like thirty-five years ago. Not that I shed any tears for all-shades-of-crazy Maxine Waters.
This, kids, is how Congressmen play “the dozens.”

Obey may be acting more weird with every passing week, but Waters is nuts. I’ve always thought she was one those people who would start scratching someone’s eyes out if they looked at her hair or sneezed or read a paper in her presence or something like that.
She’s utterly crazy. A crazy person.

I think it’s pretty funny in a depressing sorta’ way that Waters started yelling out about who touched who “first”.
I’m surprised she didn’t grab her neck and yell she needed emergency surgery with whiplash.

I had the following thoughts…….
Too bad they didn’t get into an all-out, knockdown, drag-out brawl.
She’d have probably charged him with sexual assault, racism and anything else she could think of. He’d have probably charged her with assault and whatever else he could think of.
But almost instantly after filing charges with the House Sergeant-At-Arms, they’d look at each other and say in unrehearsed unison….. “It was all Bush’s fault !”
Cheers !

Arent’t these two (Obey and Waters) in the Democrat Socialists (whatever the Commies are called who has a large percentage of today’s Democrats in Congress as members).
I have some quotes by Waters as she’s preaching the righteousness, so she insists, of Communism using various other dodges to describe ‘it’ but she does come right out and bray in support of Socialism.

from The Hill:
Waters and Obey have had an ongoing dispute about an earmark for a public school employment training center in Los Angeles that was named after Waters when she was a state representative.
Obey rejected that earmark as violating policies against so-called “monuments to me.” Waters revised her request to go to the school district’s whole adult employment training program, so the district could decide whether the money would go to the school named after Waters.
Thursday was the committee markup of the spending bill that would include the earmark, and Obey let it be known that the earmark would be denied.
Shame. Shame.
Maxine Waters should spend less time worrying about her prompts and more time working on getting JOBS for the people of California.

It’s a school training facility of some sort in LA that was named after her, of course. Obey calls them “monuments to me” I believe, which is a hilarious name for it, cause that’s exactly what it is!

I hear that Pelosi might have the votes to get the cap and trade bill passed tomorrow. I find that hard to believe. It is such a bad idea.
Thus far since Obama {gag} won the election, the Republicans have done a pretty good job of voting no on most things. I have been surprised at their discipline. It will be interesting to see how this vote goes.
