Troopathon Update: 24 hours left!

The Hot Air Steamers continue to lead the contest with just one day left.  We are now just shy of $15,000 in donations, which go to buy care packages for our troops overseas in combat zones.  Can we fly even higher?  All you have to do is click here to donate through the Steamers’ page, and we can get it done!

Note: Don’t be fooled by Trollhammer’s attempts to hijack Hot Air readers for donations to Robert Spencer’s Anti-Jihadists in the comments!  The A-Js have done well too, surging past $5000 in donations, which is great news for the troops.  And look what got into Ron Winter’s Greyhawks!  They’ve gone past the $4300 level and are threatening to move into second place.  Well done!

Free Republic’s Syncro and Family Security Matters are the new teams in the challenge, and they’re moving up, too.  Mark Danziger’s Team COINs have gotten on the board as well, and we know they’ll make it a race.

Here are your Hot Air Steamers:

They’re helping to make this a great competition, and a fun way to support a great cause.

We still need your help!  The blogger competition is certainly fun, but the point is to get as many care packages to the troops as possible, especially before the June 25th Troopathon that features Michelle Malkin, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin, Kelsey Grammer, Gary Sinise, and yours truly.  Just click on this link to order your care packages and put a smile on the faces of those serving our nation in the toughest theaters of conflict.  You won’t spend any better money this month!

If you’re a blogger, just send an e-mail to MAF (the e-mail is at the linked page), download a banner or graphic, and link it to the Steamers’ order page on your blog. I’ll post about this every day from now until the competition ends on the 25th, and include links to all my team members.  [Note: The MAF has to approve it first, and may want to even out the teams.]

Stay tuned for more updates!

Noe sure how it works? If I hit the link from anyone of the Hot Air Streamers does it automatically tally it to Hot Air? Does the direct link in your post automatically tally it to Hot Air?

Yup! Just follow the link and make your donation. It will count for Hot Air, but most of all, you’ll brighten the day of a man or woman serving our country.

Done.

Who, me?

TheTrollhammer on June 24, 2009 at 7:55 PM

Yes, you!

The part about using your billing address as the shipping address always throws me. It’s that reading for comprehension.

Ay, ay, skipper.

Ditto to Cindy’s comment.

Ed, if I didn’t love ya, I wouldn’t mess with ya. Thanks, buddy.

I knew nothing about this “hijacking” attempt, and had nothing to do with it.
