I am beyond party affiliation. They are all self-serving corrupt party hacks with few exceptions. Writing to any of them results in a standard party talking points letter. In the end they compromise(fold) like cheap houses.

I do not have much faith in the future of our country. It will be up to the states to exert their rights and protect its citizens.

Once this bill is approved, along with CAP & TRADE. There is no turning back. There has yet to be an instance of dismantling of a Statist bureaucracy that didn’t involve batons, bloodied, faces and bullets.

As our friends in Iran can atest, they are the canary in the coal mine. Hope and Change came to them 30 years ago and look what is necessary to overcome it now.

Don’t worry, I am hardly gleeful that Obama is walking away from the public option. Kennedy Dodd accomplishes it easily without the public plan and the others aren’t much better. Keeping our health care out of the governments grubby paws is uppermost in my mind I can assure you.

My point with AnninCA had more to do with her misconception that conservatives are the only ones out of step with a general agreement that we need to go the socialized medicine route. None of the polling backs up her claim.

Our current system may be flawed, may not get as much care to everyone as we would like, but as Winston Churchill said: “Democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms.” Well our health care system is the same.

One thing though, Churchill also said: “The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.”

I fear we will get the health care system we deserve.

But they hurt us, badly. Our side emphasizes morality and values. Then we have tools not living up to it

The difference between the left and the right on this is this: The left wants to create a utopia on earth whereby Gov’t is the ultimate arbiter of morality and ethics. The right (at least the bible believing part) knows that man is flawed, knows that perfection only comes after death, and believes in personal responsibility for all actions.

And since when does holding one’s self to a higher standard and failing to meet that standard become a base for perjorative? The ‘hypocrisy’ call from the left is pathetic. It is akin to not having any personal standards so that one can never be called a hypocrit. It is a stupid accusation in this sense. The more appropriate use of hypocrit applies when elucidating Al Gore’s slobbering affair with a hoax(global warming). The man flies around on private jets, lives in an enormous mansion, and banks cash on some stupid ‘carbon-offset’ company.

You want to know what a real carbon offset is? Obama’s irresponsible debt passed on to our children. The man is a menace on humanity.
