John Kerry on Sanford: Too bad Palin didn’t go missing too

Don’t be too hard on Waffles. His humor’s always been laced with nastiness, which is why he periodically finds himself in clusterfarks over “botched jokes.” It’s not that he hates Palin. He’s just a jerk.
The Bay State senator was telling a group of business and civic leaders in town at his invitation about the “bizarre’’ tale of how South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford had “disappeared for four days’’ and claimed to be hiking along the Appalachian Trail, but no one was really certain of his whereabouts.
“Too bad,’’ Kerry said, “if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin.’’
The Democratic-centric crowd laughed.
He said this before Sanford’s presser so it’s not an adultery dig at her, just an “I wish you were lost and left for dead somewhere” dig. Which, believe it or not, isn’t the nastiest Palin attack circulating in the ’sphere today.
Pew’s got a new poll out today showing Romney’s net favorable rating at +12, compared to just +1 for Sarahcuda. With Sanford and Huntsman now out of the game, Jindal almost certainly biding his time until 2016, and Palin possibly too polarizing to win against The One, we’d all better hope Mitt runs. Because if he doesn’t, an ominous scenario presents itself:

Kerry is a jerk, and a nasty one at that.

Take a look at a couple of pics of Tereza Heinz Kerry (Da Sugar Momma for Ghengis Khan Boy). No wonder Kerry hates palin. It’s the difference between
- A mud hovel and the Vanderbilt’s Breakers

Yep, I can see mr “I was in Vietnam”’s hatred of da Cuda.

Griz on June 25, 2009 at 12:27 AM
When anybody jokes about someone else he has an ulterior motive. In this case the motive was ENVY or JEALOUSY,
By wanting Sarah Palin to go missing, he was echoing an old-fashioned father admonition to his child to ‘be seen and not heard’ implying that Sarah Palin is a a bloody nuisance and nobody who gets too much coverage by the press and talks out of turn and who should just walk into the woods, get lost and never find her way back home.
And wanting Sarah ‘to go missing’ quite simply illustrates how petrified the Democrats are of Sarah Palin and her involvement in national politics and her potential to bring down the Democratic Party.
technopeasant on June 25, 2009 at 12:44 AM
And to follow up on my previous post, it just struck me-not only does Sarah Palin have the ability to bring down Obama, she also has the capability to bring down the entire Far Left and the Democratic Party.
George Soros will not allow that to happen if you get my drift!
technopeasant on June 25, 2009 at 12:46 AM

Senator Kerry! Senator Kerry! You’ve secured the Democratic primaries, and the Democratic nomination is yours, giving you a shot at the Presidency of the United States of America…….so why the long face?
thebrokenrattle on June 25, 2009 at 3:27 AM
There’s the problem. Not Mitt. I like him. The problem is the RNC/media short list which comes out of some mystery cave. No one else in America is qualified to be considered for President. They stay on the list until they are as old as Dole. There are 300 some million Americans and the list has ten people
Good news for Palin. If she was not a threat, the joke wouldn’t fly.
This is the amazing qualification Palin has and the others lack. The opposition wants her gone. She is not weak. She is formidable in their eyes
Her favorable should be low. She did not run for VP. The McCain team ran her for VP.
If she opens up with her own campaign watch out.
I still like Mitt and I find Palin smarter than most of the mutts being offered
entagor on June 25, 2009 at 4:26 AM
Amen. Of course, they’ll deny it to the grave, but she is a real threat to them. If not, she’d be ignored. Case in point – where are all the Dan Quayle “jokes”? He’s no threat to anyone. Hence, no jokes.
And of course, another example showing that Kerry is a huge scumbag is not news.
Red Cloud on June 25, 2009 at 4:34 AM
1: Barkface is an idiot.
2: The oft-repeated comment that Sarah Palin is too “polarizing” is bull.
A sharp political analyst once pointed out that in order to win an election, and particularly against an incumbent, you have to be as far from the center as they are.
In other words, if you’re Lib incumbent that is close to the center (moderate), a moderate conservative has a better chance of winning.
Check out previous races.
It will take a staunch anti-socialist, small-government conservative to win against a radical far-left Lib like Barry.
Now, who fits that description?

Here’s the deal with these polls:
Q: What’s your opinion of Mitt Romney?
Conservatives: Eh, he’s OK. Better than Obama. I hope Sarah runs.
Indies: Is that his real name?
Liberals: The Rethuglicans should nominate Romney because he has no chance of winning!
Q: What’s your opinion of Sarah Palin?
Conservatives: Think Elvis Presley in the summer of ‘56.
Indies: You mean she’s a real Governor? I thought that was Tina Fey!
Liberals: Anybody but her! She must be destroyed!

Kerry is an angry man.He knows he’s known as a loser gigolo that no one including his shrew of a wife respects. So he must fight this orrect thought of being a Democrat, which means less than a man, by lashing out at a successful woman.
Kerry, a true waste of the air he breathes.

On some fundamental level, being a Democrat these days is unmanly. Real men aren’t democrats. I could elaborate, but won’t.

If anyone thinks Palin would settle for number 2 with Mittens, then they’ve been living in a cave somewhere. Caribou Barbie is all about being a publicity ho’. She is a living trainwreck and Flip Flop Mitt would be a disaster for the gop. Why don’t you conservatives just fess up and concede that Obama will crush whatever sacrificial lamb the gop sends out. Bash Kerry all you want, he was in Vietnam when W was getting drunk in Alabama in the Air National Guard. Cheney was getting FIVE deferrments. Oh, by the way, whats the over/under on how long before Mark “I’m banging a hot Argentinian babe” Sanford resigns? Maybe more tea parties on the 4th will salvage the trainwreck called the gop.

Let his wish be turned upon himself. This portrays Kerry’s old survival technique, sabotage and sacrifice others.
No one wanted Kerry on their ticket any more than any one really wanted McCain to be the last man standing. Sour Grapes. As much as the two have such differentiations, they both financed their political career via marriage to heiresses. We all should note well that regardless of formative years, those whose success has been financially sponsored and provided (like Obama’s via global organized crime) have no appreciation for how the dollars are earned through sweat equity, but feigning empathy for their actual antipathy, they coerce Americans into Statism, with all the best intentions. They TAKE and never give back to fulfill contract or promise, though they claim otherwise.

Allahpundit, why the Huckabee hate? He is simply the best choice. If we would have ran him rather than the RINO, then it probably would have been Huck in the White House, and not 0bama. While I do not agree with him religiously (full disclaimer: I was raised southern Baptist but I consider my self a kind of Buddhist now, long story) I do feel that a strong moral base of the kind the Founding Fathers had is necessary to be able to make the best decisions for this country (a la Ronald Reagan, not Bush). Romney reminds me too much of Slick Willie, Jindal is not ready for prime time, and as much as I love Sarah Palin, thanks to all the hate from the left, she has been tainted in the minds of the voters and her brand is damaged for the next several years and wouldn’t be able to pull off the top or even the bottom of the ticket (but I would not hesitate to tap her for the cabinet if it was my administration). Huckabee speaks to the true base of the Republican party (full disclaimer #2: As of this moment, I do not consider myself a republican because the party has lost its focus. I find more in common with some of the smaller 3rd parties, but I am first and foremost a conservative), not the RINOs that the press seems tolerate. I think, should he chose to run (and Jindal would be a good choice for the bottom of the ticket) again in 2012, he will be not only the best choice, but our last best hope for putting this country back on the path the Founding Fathers intended.
Huckabee 2012, Bringing real ‘Hope and Change’ to the country.

Huckabee discussing how he deflated the argument that amnesty took jobs away from Americans said he would ask the complainers to prove it. Huckabee then stated he had never met a man who had lost a job to an illegal
That detachment from reality and unwillingness to admit many jobs have been removed from the job pool available to Americans and reserved to the often underground economy job pool reserved for illegals puts Huckabee squarely in the RINO camp, religious affiliations notwithstanding
You have to be blind or living in a dream world not to find folk who have been pushed out. Just observe various construction crews, or road crews, or landscaping crews and ask yourself how there are two demographics.
I run into folk who tell me their story. For instance a lady inquiring about employment possibilities at the store while we both shopped telling me how she had a great job as a motel maid making $8 dollars an hour until the boss fired all the maids and replaced them with illegals
I trip over folk like that. Huckabee could not see them. He is a religious Bloomberg
Huck was not embarassed to mock the complainers. That makes him an imperial non thinker in my eyes, a man who cannot put two and two together

The Pew poll shows that Romney is doing very well among Indpendent voters NOW, while during the 2008 campaign he polled very poorly among Independent voters, which are needed to win an election.
Back in 2008, some commentators made a big deal out of Romney’s Mormon faith, whether it was a “cult”, or whether it would affect his judgment as President. But Romney has a solid reputation on economic issues, and after watching Obama bow both physically and rhetorically to every form of Muslim extremist, Independent voters might start thinking that a Mormon isn’t that bad if he doesn’t apologize overseas for being American, and doesn’t spend them into oblivion.
As for Sarah Palin, the more she’s attacked by the Left, the more she gets to respond with class and dignity, and the more people will come to her defense. In addition, Obama’s wild spending spree plays in Palin’s favor–by 2012, she can say “I told you back in ‘08 that Obama is a socialist, and look what he has done!”.
A lot of things could change in three years, but right now our best ticket would be Romney / Palin 2012.

Listen you clueless crud. When they first flew the F102 (bush’s plane) the engineers said “WTF This thing ain’t gonna fly”. They had to develop a whole new aeronotical theory called ‘area rule’ just to make it stable enough to fly. If you f-d up and had a compressor stall on takeoff, you ended up inverted and as a quarter mile streak of goo on the runway. Couple that with the fact that the 102 could be armed with the nuclear variant of the Falcon and, some say, the Genie. That is a nuke with a shorter fuse than a fricken hand grenade. The PEACETIME attrition rates on the 102 was damn close to that of the groundpounders in nam. Oh, BTW – gw got a ribbon or medal for saving one of his flight members. Kerry let the noncom drive a boat for him…
I for one plan to be any any tea party I can get to. I’d much rather hang out with true patriots and Americans than a bunch of liberal pantywaist, america hating, marxist loving, butt breaths.

You had me until you said “Romney/Palin 2012″
Why do so many people want her on the bottom of the ticket again? That would just be… wierd….
It’s either top of the ticket or kingmaker for SP. She would never be #2 again, imho.

Athens boy’s fairy tale world:
Reality in the real world:
Obama’s lack of leadership and judgment have made the democratic majorities almost meaningless.
He can’t even get his own people to buy into his idiocy.
Gitmo, cap and trade, healtcare, the failure of the stimulus, foreign dictators making fun of him,and foreign leaders rebuking him daily shows just how much of a joke “smart power” is.
You have to have your head inserted pretty far up Obama’s a$$ to believe his administration doesn’t have serious trouble ahead.
