John Kerry on Sanford: Too bad Palin didn’t go missing too
posted at 6:38 pm on June 24, 2009 by Allahpundit
Don’t be too hard on Waffles. His humor’s always been laced with nastiness, which is why he periodically finds himself in clusterfarks over “botched jokes.” It’s not that he hates Palin. He’s just a jerk.
The Bay State senator was telling a group of business and civic leaders in town at his invitation about the “bizarre’’ tale of how South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford had “disappeared for four days’’ and claimed to be hiking along the Appalachian Trail, but no one was really certain of his whereabouts.
“Too bad,’’ Kerry said, “if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin.’’
The Democratic-centric crowd laughed.
He said this before Sanford’s presser so it’s not an adultery dig at her, just an “I wish you were lost and left for dead somewhere” dig. Which, believe it or not, isn’t the nastiest Palin attack circulating in the ‘sphere today.
Pew’s got a new poll out today showing Romney’s net favorable rating at +12, compared to just +1 for Sarahcuda. With Sanford and Huntsman now out of the game, Jindal almost certainly biding his time until 2016, and Palin possibly too polarizing to win against The One, we’d all better hope Mitt runs. Because if he doesn’t, an ominous scenario presents itself:

Blowback

As I said in another thread, the way Bozo is tanking, the Republicans could run a rooster in 2012 and win.

Word.
Or have people already forgotten about Hillary Clinton? Who in 2000 could have ever predicted her as a Presidential nominee?
And she beat Obama in the popular vote, despite tons of kneecaping from her own party.
Never say never.

Actually, it just dawned on me that it would be offensive if it was meant to be some sort of tasteless “retarded” joke (b/c the guy is pasted on a down-syndrome baby’s face), but there is no indication that this was the intent and that interpretation didn’t even occur to me until I was racking my brain trying to figure out what the fuss was over.

I’m a little tired of the “she’s too polarizing” thing. Reagan was polarizing. McCain, in 2007, was not. ‘Nuff said.
Neither Mitt nor Huck have a chance in hell of winning anything in 2012.

Out of everything, the healthcare issue worries me the most. First because my parents are getting older and I don’t want them to be rationed away. They are my everything. Second, I have a history of surgeries for congenital issues. I’m afraid I will be rationed away at an early age. To hear bozo say that healthcare reform WILL get passed just makes me sick because you know it won’t be the right kind of reform (tort, etc.).

As for Kerry. Who cares.
smokinjoe on June 24, 2009 at 9:19 PM
I’d like punch that sh**head too. He’s taking advantage of the Palins and the media big time. What a loser. Instead of BEING A FATHER to his child, he’s out doing idiotic interviews with Tyra and the Today Show. The a-holes in the entertainment media and the blogosphere don’t mind using him to trash Palin. You’d think they wouldn’t give a flying fig newton if Palin is still in the public eye after the election. Their guy won. The left is just too childish to let it go apparently.
And while we’re talking about too bad, it’s too bad that John Kerry’s face looks like a horse’s ass. :)

1) AP – we WILL NOT WIN if our candidate is chosen by the Democrats. Even if we win, we lose. So, have to go the other way on your “polarizing” meme here – it’s GREAT!

I think of all the potential candidates, Palin is simply the one that scares them the most. She matches or surpass Obama in the charisma category. Mitt or Huck? LOL never. And true, Palin’s not scared of Obama in the least, nor would she feel some need to treat such a “historic” presidency gingerly or reverentially. Look at the deflating effect her RNC speech had on Obama’s image.

Here’s the thing about the “polarizing” deal… it really is BS. Looks at the crosstabs for the latest two polls that have come out (Pew and PPP). She has a dominant lead in the GOP net favorables. And she is nearing 50/50 in the independents (46 fav in todays poll, i believe). The reasons her UNFAVORABLES are so high is simple… the Dems are about 20/80 or so, with virtually everyone weighing in. Everyone else’s unfavorables are significantly lower from the Dems because they are in the “don’t know” category. But it is all irrelevant… because, by and large the Dems are going to vote Dem or stay home (if Obama looks like he is going to lose). You can basically throw out the Dem poll #s Focus on GOP and independents. If you take away the Dem unfavorables for Sarah Palin, her net favorability skyrockets.

Kerry is a terrorist at heart. No one should be surprised by anything this twisted traitor says. He led a group that voted on assassinating Republican Senators back in the 70s.
When you end capital punishment for traitors and domestic terrorists, you will have to deal with those people as Democratic Presidential nominees or Democratic Presidential kingmakers at some point. It’s one of those laws like Godwin’s and Murphy’s, except more provable than those.
