Ok, so you HAVE to hear this...

I was chatting to a massage Therapist friend of mine who LOVES BHO. She was telling me that he is god's last gift before the apocalypse in Dec 2012.
She believes that BHO MUST BE RE-ELECTED so Palin will not get elected and bring The End of Days to us. She said that there will be legal troubles that will finally decide the election on the winter Solstice in 2012, the year the Mayan calendars ended.
Isn't that a great story for a movie? Sadly she appeared to believe it...

+1

Obama deserves ZERO credit. The uprising in Iran, was inspired by the Iraq war.

Removing Sadam from power made Gaddafi voluntarily abandon his race for nuclear weapons, it made Egypt push for democratic elections, it inspired the people in Lebanon and it most definitely inspired the Iraqis’ next-door neighbors.

I hope history will give George Bush the credit. BTW. He has also changed Africa for the better, not many people know that because no one bothered to tell this amazing story.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/africa/article3510768.ece by Sir Bob Geldof

The Bush regime has been divisive. But not in Africa. I read it has been incompetent. But not in Africa. It has created bitterness. But not here in Africa. Bush can’t do oratory. He can in Africa. Here’s why. His administration has saved millions of lives and has helped 29m children to go to school for the first time.

Bush initiated the President’s Emergency Plan for Aids Relief. In 2003, only 50,000 Africans were on HIV antiretroviral drugs – and they had to pay for their own medicine. Today, 1.3m are receiving medicines free of charge. The US also contributes one-third of the money for the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria, which treats another 1.5m.

And on his seven-day trip through Africa, Bush announced a fantastic new $350m fund for other tropical diseases that can be easily eradicated; a programme to distribute 5.2m mosquito nets to Tanza-nian kids; and contracts worth around $1.2 billion in Tanzania and Ghana from the Millennium Challenge Account, a Bush initiative that focuses on anticorruption, law, infrastructure and poverty reduction programmes.

Obama????? Inspire the Iranian people????
AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!

Obama's comments regarding the protests over the Iranian elections have been at best lukewarm and at worst catastrophic. Since his "advisors" can't point to anything he's said directly, they harken back to his Cairo speech. Guys, here's a tip, better read that Cairo speech again.

Remember this little tidbit?

We will, however, relentlessly confront violent extremists who pose a grave threat to our security. Because we reject the same thing that people of all faiths reject: the killing of innocent men, women, and children.

Relentless!!!! Yeah, that's how I would describe his recent statements about Iran.

[...] Ed Morrissey’s take on it is spot-on: This is the most despicable, self-serving, and arrogant spin I’ve seen yet from this White House, and that’s saying something. Obama gave a speech, and suddenly the people of Iran discovered that they’re being ruled by tyrants? Never mind that two weeks passed between the speech and the uprising, and that the very obvious trigger for the unrest was the incompetent manner in which the mullahs rigged the election for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Never mind the fact that this President took a full week to even sound like a watered-down Nicolas Sarkozy, let alone the leader of the free world. [...]

He has!

I sent you this GWB quote last night and posted it in a couple of other threads -- sorry if it is overkill, but I can't believe no one is picking up on it, especially now that The One is claiming credit for the victory in a battle he was willing to pull out of.

“In Iran the demand for democracy is strong and broad … The regime in Tehran must heed the democratic demands of the Iranian people, or lose its last claim to legitimacy.”

The best thing Obama can do right now is to let the Iranian ruling elite bring shame and disrepute on themselves, and the easiest way to do that is to watch from the sidelines.

Where the hell have you been for the last 30 years? The mullahs have been doing exactly that with impunity. They need to be called on their terrorism. Obama talks about the Iranians seeking Justice- a goal which is elusive and barely attainable even in the most advanced countries. The Iranians are not seeking Justice but basic huuman rights.

Obama is a cowardly fool.

It's clear that nothing is going to interfere with Omama's fantasy of negotiating an agreement with the mullahs. He's now backed himself into a corner, He will look like a complete fool unless he gets his agreement. And he will.

It will be hailed as the greatest thing since the invention of the wheel. But it will be a total sham.

I've had some flak for defending Obama, but its all been reasonably stated and fair. So in that spirit, I'll try and clarify what I'm getting at.

I'm aware that Obama is very polarising, and I'm concerned about what he has done to the economy in the US. I do not feel that Obama is a messiah and personally would have voted for John McCain had I not been a Brit.

But, because I can see things from an outsiders point of view, I have to say that Obama's softly-softly approach may have worked. For one thing the Iranians are trying to blame Britain more than the US for the uprising. Obama just doesn't seem the kind of guy who would instigate a riot in another country, and that is exactly the kind of image that works well in these situations. The best thing Obama can do right now is to let the Iranian ruling elite bring shame and disrepute on themselves, and the easiest way to do that is to watch from the sidelines.

Now don't misunderstand me: I liked President Bush. Over here in the UK that puts me in a minority of one. I thought he was a good, misunderstood man, and I think history will judge him kindly. But by the same token I am prepared to give his successor a fair chance too. I think Obama has been made poor decisions on the US economy, but on Iran I think he's done okay so far. We can only hope his economic decisions work out well, too.

The real question is: what does he do now. He's taken a harder line, but how far can he push?

I really, really want the US to come out well in the next few years. I can't stand the thought of China being a superpower. So even if you don't like Obama and think he's making all the wrong decisions you should still be hoping with all your heart that he proves you wrong. By all means criticise him, but stay rooting for him, too, because he's all the free world has got right now.

America has to win through. So back your President, even if it galls you. For all our sakes!

A final thought: if everyone in the UK is drinking Obama Kool Aid, then maybe a few of them Iranian students are drinking it, too.

This from Huffpo:

Obama's remarks were televised on all radio and television stations in Israel, and with Arabic voice-over translations by Arab satellite stations Al-Arabiya and Al-Jazeera, Egyptian TV and Al-Manar, an outlet for the militant group Hezbollah. The speech was not broadcast in Iran, where the goverment jammed signals to block satellite owners from watching.
One would think, before engaging in such ridiculous fantasy, the NYT and the White House would first make sure that the speech was actually heard in Iran.

What I don't understand is, Obama is assumed to be intelligent, right?! Yet, he chooses to call Iran's tyrannical brutality against it's citizens yearning to speak their individual and collective minds "vigorous debate."

If he were blind he'd have an excuse, but since he isn't he has absolutely none!

[...] Hotair’s take This is the most despicable, self-serving, and arrogant spin I’ve seen yet from this White House, and that’s saying something. Never mind the fact that this President took a full week to even sound like a watered-down Nicolas Sarkozy, let alone the leader of the free world. blog comments powered by Disqus var disqus_url = 'http://infidelsarecool.com/2009/06/23/white-house-obama-cairo-speech-inspired-iranian-uprising/ '; var disqus_container_id = 'disqus_thread'; var facebookXdReceiverPath = 'http://infidelsarecool.com/wp-content/plugins/disqus-comment-system/xd_receiver.htm'; var DsqLocal = { 'trackbacks': [ ], 'trackback_url': 'http://infidelsarecool.com/2009/06/23/white-house-obama-cairo-speech-inspired-iranian-uprising/trackback/' }; [...]

White House: Cairo Speech Responsible for Iranian Uprising || Change Barack!...

Could it be that they were inspired by the blossoming democracy in neighboring Iraq instead? If that were the case, wouldn\'t it blow Obama\'s middle-east world view and actually prove Bush right? We can\'t have that now, can we?

When barry starts shooting protestors in the streets do you think he will charge the families for the bullets that cut them down? Tea Parties are being cancelled for lack of a venue. Atlanta Ga. and Greenville, SC are two I am aware of. Just a coincidence or are we seeing the transparent one in action? As usual the pubbies are invisable and mute. You do understand that we need to be bipartisan.
