Troopathon update: Wow!

Hot Air readers have stepped up to the plate — big time!

The Hot Air Steamers continue to lead the contest with just five days left.  We are now over $13,000 in donations, which go to buy care packages for our troops overseas in combat zones.  Can we fly even higher?  All you have to do is click here to donate through the Steamers’ page, and we can get it done!

Robert Spencer’s Anti-Jihadists have done well too, surging past $5000 in donations — which may be tough news for the Steamers, but great news for the troops.  Mark Danziger’s Team COINs and Ron Winter’s Greyhawks (now over $1500!) have gotten on the board as well, and we know they’ll make it a race.  Move America Forward has added two more teams, too — Free Republic’s Syncro and Family Security Matters.

Here are your Hot Air Steamers:

They’re helping to make this a great competition, and a fun way to support a great cause.

We still need your help!  The blogger competition is certainly fun, but the point is to get as many care packages to the troops as possible, especially before the June 25th Troopathon that features Michelle Malkin, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin, Kelsey Grammer, Gary Sinise, and yours truly.  Just click on this link to order your care packages and put a smile on the faces of those serving our nation in the toughest theaters of conflict.  You won’t spend any better money this month!

If you’re a blogger, just send an e-mail to MAF (the e-mail is at the linked page), download a banner or graphic, and link it to the Steamers’ order page on your blog. I’ll post about this every day from now until the competition ends on the 25th, and include links to all my team members.  [Note: The MAF has to approve it first, and may want to even out the teams.]

Stay tuned for more updates!

Don’t forget to type a message in for the troops to read. There is a provided space for you to send a greeting when you make a purchase.

I am in awe of our Troops…more than just heroes…
they are saviors!

This quote is always quite striking:

“…the only people that have died for you are Jesus and the American Soldier. One for your soul, the other for your freedom.”

I am greatly in your debt…count on my support!

Um, Ed? You posted the wrong link. This is the right one.

Why, no problem, Harry. No problem at all.

Nice try, Trollhammer, but I’ve fixed it for you.

I made a donation via the link in the post, I hope HA gets credit for it. If I used the wrong link they should be able to tell the link came from here right?

You got the right link. Trollhammer tried faking people to the Anti-Jihadist donation page, but I’ve fixed it.

Done my part! How many more of these are planned in the future, Ed? It is an awesome idea to show our respect and help out our fearless protectors of freedom.

May God bless those souls that have the nerve and gumption to protect our freedom and offer freedom to those who do not know it.

I feel like a wus now complaining about the temps down here in the bayou while our guys and gals are really suffering over there….
