Actually, he didn’t. He so badly mismanaged his first meetings with Nikita Khruschev that the Russians concluded he was an “overpush” and to begin the act of stationing nukes in Cuba. Kennedy’s miscalculations led us closer than we have ever been to nuclear war. What would Kennedy have done if the Russians hadn’t finally blinked? Obama seems destined to complete the process of taking us down that path with more of the “peace in our time” kinds of rhetoric that Kennedy used prior to the Crisis.

I would love to see something like that go out in petition form and turned over to the embassy of any nation that has diplomatic relations with Iran.

I sure in the hell wish that some one a lot more eloquent then I , would pen a letter to the Iranian people and their government , reaching out to them and telling them that even though we have a pathetic nutless-wonder president who cannot/will not say “The American people are pulling and praying for the people of Iran , so their voices can be heard and that they can rejoin the community of the nations of the world and not be ignored because of their oppressive regime.”

To the Government of Iran, Let the voices of the people of Iran be heard.

Agreed, it was a little harsh. Love my Texas, unfortunately, my husband’s job moved me away.

Hey I understand. I live here too. I also think it’s good that you clarified, but, because I’ve read your posts and think I have a good idea of who you are, I didn’t think you were being racist.

Though, I can’t help but feel as though we’ve brought this on ourselves. We won’t even set English as our official language, and many schools barely teach it to those who don’t have it as their first language, preferring instead to teach in Spanish.

Hell, a majority of Americans can hardly grasp it. Illiteracy and ignorance are the seeds of Socialism. Far better to teach the tots how to feel good about themselves, how monstrous America is, and how wonderful it is for the State to take care of them.

I can see that Hornet, but the use of the term “assassination” to describe the death of this lovely young woman is not accurate.

She is not a pubic figure and she was MURDERED! Murdered in cold blood.

Reminds me of that old Chris Rock routine about Biggie Smalls, Martin Luther King, Tupac and the difference in their deaths.

Funny thing is, I grew up in an area where there are almost no Hispanics, I speak a smatterinf of Spanish and I am a firm believer in English as the national language.

I have just always liked the sound of Tejas and enjoy using it. That is all.

I’m just a little punchy today, and funny, I’m half Mexican, but I am tired of seeing gangs tearing up Texas cities and illegal alien women popping out kids like a pez dispenser and WE have to pay for their medical and food for eighteen years.

I understand that sentiment, but I disagree with it. I think the office of the presidency deserves more respect than that. I think the people who did that are scum and would hate myself for emulating them.

But I do completely understand why someone would be tempted to.

I’d much rather have someone with preferably something along the lines of a .45 ACP blow the head off the SOB.
