Well you would never know it from the comments on this thread but Allah had originally posted a video of John McCain giving a wonderful spot-on speech concerning Iran & the young girl who was killed on the street.

I guess it was removed by the the McCain police due to lack of interest. Sorry, you snooze you lose on HotAir!

This is McCain at his best & when it came to national security there was no question he would get this right, as opposed to Obuttwipe who has gotten NOTHING right. Just as a reminder, when we get national security wrong not a whole lot else really matters, does it?

Maybe you’ll get off your *sses & vote next time, that is if we still have a country left to vote IN.

Exactly right!! A true leader has the courage of his convictions...and it shows!

That makes two of us. I like her and think that there is a prominent place for her in the party but when it comes to discussing stuff like the US response to what is going on in Iran or North Korea, I’d rather have that discussion with CK instead of Palin.

Out of curiosity, since so little has been spoken about her actual answers to question like this.
How do you know her resolution would not be the “right” one?
Every time I have heard her discussion of foreign policy, I find her very informed.

Reminds me of the group they had discussing the Iranian protests on FNC Saturday afternoon. Geraldo, Al Sharpton, Wesley Clark, and Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum. Clark was the closest to having any experience in international affairs and he’s so ignorant he makes Joe Biden seem intelligent!

He could ALWAYS say “Bush did it” or “I inherited this mess” and half the nation would let him skate.

Actually when it comes to Iran, the real culprit is Jimmy Carter not GWB. Had Carter not so thoroughly botched relations with Iran in the 1970s much of the subsequent history in that part of the world might have been far different.

The USS Samuel B. Roberts might not have been struck by an Iranian Mine. The USS Vincennes might not have been involved in shooting down an Iranian airliner. The Iran-Iraq war would have been bloody but a strictly “local” event.

True, and furthermore there would not have been any reason to have had the media blacked out unless:

A: The government there knew something was coming that they could not afford to have seen by the world, and;

B: The government knew that the truth about the situation would not be favorible to their cause.

I just don’t think CK understand what Gov. Palin is all about.

If the Iranian crisis were a relatively peaceful affair, there would be no reason to restrict the media.

Because Mossadeq was a large part of the wholesale theft of the oil fields in the Iranian forced nationalizations – stealing an industry that they did nothing but watch others build and maintain. This is the sort of stuff that most would consider an act of war. I certainly do.

For what it’s worth, the POS court at The Hague ruled that Iran’s national theft of others’ property and voiding of contracts on a whim were legal. But … that’s what you get with empowered, peerless, competionless entities.
