So much for accusations of torture at Gitmo. If we were really torturing people there, these Uighur would be willing to hop a space shuttle to the moon instead of staying another minute at Gitmo. Set them down in front of one of those web pages which has a bunch of must-choose-one radio buttons, and let the default be “return to Xinjiang” and the other choice be “relocation to Palau”, and let’s see which one they choose.

As for us Latin Rite Catholics not being nice neighbors, why should they be afraid of us adherents of the True Faith? Yeah, but the difference here is that the guys in Bermuda seem to be thrilled to be there. They claim to have no intention of leaving and want to start a life in Bermuda.

Having said that, from my research on Palau, there is around 500 Muslim citizens of Palau out of a total population of roughly 20,000 people.

The Uighurs’ resisting a move to Palau is just more of them waging the jihad. Word is several of them are hardcore jihadists, despite the foolish conclusion by a CSRT that they pose no threat to the U.S., on the Chinese. Obama will just have to order the expulsion of all Chinese diplomats and businesspeople in the U.S. so no American ends up collateral damage; otherwise, it will take thousands of full-time agents to protect the potential targets as we’d be violating the Uighurs’ civil rights by following around “innocent” people. Smart power is a perfect way to put it.
