America has been there, done that, and it’s failed miserably.

We are witnessing a revolution, I believe. It’s unfolding in an unprecedented way, which is completely captivating the entire world.

Amazing stuff.

Iraq is three groups of opinion:
-Talibani and the Kurds have been playig the devils advocate for generatia (they minorities in 4 seperate nations that have done horrors to them so playing the middle is not just diplo speak but a requirement of survival).

-The Sunni don’t need to even say their thoughts everyone already knows without question.

-The Shia are the majority and the sway vote that counts. Maliki and the non-Sadr strain of Iraqi Shia leadership being silent non-recognition is a big deal and probably the limit for a neighbor just recovering from a 6yr Islamist insurgency partially funded by the Mullahs no less.

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani publicly congratulated Mr. Ahmadinejad on his win, a customary diplomatic gesture. But other politicians, including Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki, who spent years of exile in Iran, have remained noticeably silent on the contested victory.

Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, the leader of Iraq’s largest Shia party, also spent years in Iran and is there now, receiving treatment for cancer. He hailed Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, after the election, but pointedly left out any mention of Mr. Ahmadinejad.

It’s not been about Mousavi for a while now. Good to know that we won’t be seeing any Che shirts on the protesters though.

I fear that is not enough. I will pray for them, but I wish I could give them guns.

At least moral relativism will be revealed as a fool’s errand–the world will finally see that the mullahs’ regime is criminal not merely different.

WHOLE city is shaking with very loud screams from rooftops. Their loud voices calling only for God is filled with fear, hatred, and hope.

The Iranian people are being brutalized. I pray they can find it in their hearts to seek justice, and not simply revenge.

It almost was. JFK brought us very close to total annihilation, thanks to his amateur foreign policy that whet the lips of the Soviets.

And as to the domestic turmoil at the end of the 60’s, those insane America-haters are the ones in the junta in Washington, right now. They were dangerous as street protesters, but now they hold the levers of power, and their ideology hasn’t chjanged one bit – except that they are even nastier than they were.

We don’t always make it through rough times. Every so often, the rough times are too rough. This is looking to be one of those times. There is no denying it.

And the idiocy of the America-hating junta in Washington is pushing the whole world to chaos (as most people never appreciated the role of American power in global stability). How safe do you feel with The Precedent and Traitor-in-Chief having the nuclear football? He wants to destroy America and he has been working towards that goal very well.

All generations might think that they are at a tipping point in history, but every so often a generation truly is there. We are that generation.

I think it’s very smart for Tea Party organizers to keep an eye on Iran. As long as the mullahs are brutalizing the citizens and the citizens are responding defensively, Obama should be ridiculed for his response. Also, if the citizens revolt is somehow successful with minimal violence on their part. But, if those conducting the Iranian uprising become brutal themselves, then I would be wary about how to incorporate Iran into Tea Party protests.
