The protesters are holding back, I am not sure why. With few exceptions they are not fighting back, but they could and they know it.

dogsoldier on June 22, 2009 at 12:27 PM
Maybe smart at first to show who is the good guys and who is bad.
With all those people and a few bikes making them run is crazy. It would be no problem for them to start grabbing those Basij militia off their bikes and hanging a few like the Basij is doing to protest leaders. I saw some videos where the crowd just kept moving toward the Police and the Police turned and ran. The Guard needs to split to make this turn and I read that is in the works. The people need to start organizing, get weapons and take control of the media and communications. Thursday is mourning of 26-year-old Neda Soltan the government has forbidden the mourning of her death, a violation of Iran law. Iranians are emotional type it could be day people start taking revenge and get upper hand. Watch for more police coming over to peoples side and that will be measure of where this is going. Some restraint on peoples side could help in convincing police to come over. The numbers of people on street is impressive. The momentum needs to be sustained. This is not result of covert US operation this is genuine home grown revolution. Like I said before this has been in works for long time. Those born after 1975 or so are majority pro-western. The young generation have been going into the hills, meeting and letting their hair down for a while now. Bush was smart to give them moral support after 9/11. Iran was a problem that should fix it self was the thinking.

Preparing for the strike on Tuesday - stocking up on supplies.
Once the oil quits flowing the mullahs will have to go drill themselves.
Maybe Obama can send the EPA and the eco-nazis to Iran to make them
quit drilling for oil. They have been very successful in shutting down American drilling. Which side is Obama on? The Iranian Islamic regime is the cause of many of the world's problems. Obama is the wrong person at the right time to be president. Imagine if Al Gore was president during 9-11......

As you may remember or not I will tell you. After 9/11 wake up call we had four main problem nations to deal with. DPRK North Korea, Iraq ( unfinished business), Iran and Afghanistan. Bush sent Special Ops into Afghanistan and Regular forces into Iraq. DPRK North Korea is most difficult because of Seoul is within artillery range of North. Big problem. Intelligence on Iran told us that the under 30 crowd, which is big sector, was pro western and ripe for revolution, Bush spoke to the Iranian people and told them America was with them in there desire for freedom from oppression. Many laughed at Bush and many liberals complained that Iran was bigger problem than Iraq.

Rarely is someone privileged to witness true bravery and what the true cost of freedom is. I think those who caught one of the Basij militia off his bike are better than me, I don't think I could have let him live after what they have been doing. He is one lucky guy they could have killed him, but did not. He should have taken the green cloth that was offered to him. This is bigger than Mousavi, this is complete revolution we are witnessing. God Bless Iranian people; this has been long time coming.

Right now, people are risking their lives for the glimmer of freedom, and Tony Hawk is in the White House tweeting about Frosted Flakes.

Who was it claiming that now, with 23 year old Democrats running around the West Wing "the adults are in charge" again? This is one click short of Democrats claiming to be the Party of National Security.

Talk about backwards. This is Bill Clinton all over again: a bunch of college clowns puking on themselves and playing with their blackberries, while the business of governing the most powerful nation in history spins out of control.

2010 RNC Theme: We need adults in charge of this economy and government, and the Obama-Pelosi administration can't be trusted with anything. They are silly people.

2012 Presidential Theme: Hey, an affirmative action Presidency was worth a try, I guess. Now let's get back to business and fix this government and this economy.

Both campaigns need a bold list of policy improvements that candidates are committed to .

I haven't followed the numbers that close, but with this 2300 comment thread, Hot Air must be well over 4000 comments on Iran. It seems that every update brings 600 comments or more.

Clearly no other topic is commanding this kind of interest.

Am I an old fart or am I right to be pissed that some jackass is skateboarding down the halls of the White House while all this Iranian shit is going down?…

Right now, people are risking their lives for the glimmer of freedom, and Tony Hawk is in the White House tweeting about Frosted Flakes.

My daughter got me a movie for Fathers Day. It was called Gran Torino, a Clint Eastwood flick. She said I reminder her of the main character. In the end one message is, watch out for "old farts", they have little to lose if they start their own little "revolution".

Oh geez, I'm on ANOTHER Homeland Security note with that one.

PattyJ on June 21, 2009 at 2:18 PM Thanks for the article

Yet, in brief and rare encounters, Mr. Obama's father passed along certain things the president values to this day.

Like being a good communist. but its okay because he had another communist man mentor, pervert Frank and god knows what else he showed him. Good friend of his grandfather who also was a Communist like his Mother.

The teabag movement
is what the main stream media called Tea party movement which is defined by this communist government as a terrorist organization. Tea bagging is what the main stream media did when they went to college
to suck balls
Thats why they know about it. They would squat over each others face and suck balls. I had know idea. haha I still don't get it. The main Stream Media loves this US communist regime. They had a part in making it happen.
One more important Point
Those who say kill them all. (The Iranians) I'm not sure if they are progressive liberals posers as conservative, drunk or nut cases, but they don't represent the conservative ideals I know.
WAKE UP AMERICA YOU ELECTED A COMMUNIST GOVERNMENT!!!
God Help US!!!!

“Hundreds of thousands of gallant Iranians are now engaged in a non-violent moral struggle against tyranny in Iran-one of the great examples of bravery in our times. All free peoples of the world watch their ordeal, and can only wish them success, while owing them a great deal of gratitude for risking their lives for the innate and shared notion of human freedom and dignity. We in the United States ask the government of Iran—as well as its military and security forces — to recognize the universal appeal of freedom that flourishes among its own remarkable people, to stand down and renounce its serial use of violence and coercion-and to ensure a truly free election where the voices of all can be at last fully heard, so that Iran can once more properly reenter the family of law-biding nations”.)
THIS NEEDED TO SAID AGAIN--- I think whats said above would be good if put into a letter to Iranian people from its American people. We could sign it and email it to every Iranian email we can find.
I know Obamanamaaaaa will never do it.
I think its a point but not legitimate at this point to wait and see. It is truly stupid to think we can make points with Extremist Islamic Clerical Maniacs. I think Iranian people are great. I know some Iranians and I find them very intelligent but also very proud. Many have bought into antisemitic ideals, but those born after 1975 or so are very pro-Western. The speaks good of the Iranian people that despite being subject to brainwashing attempts they have figured this one out. That President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad guy I swear I recognized as being one of the student leaders of the US Embassy take over. I was on USS Midway 7th Fleet Command. Electronic Warfare PO3. We shuttled the helicopters and transfered them to another carrier at Gonzo Station. Two stations was setup Gonzo and Kermit. Two carrier groups rotation with third to give us some R&R in Kenya. Carter first gave go ahead for rescue attempt then like the wimp he is, changed his mind and at a covert refueling station inside Iran when they got the word. The exit plan went very bad, A helicopter and C2 cargo plan collided in a turn around maneuver and many good men paid the ultimate price.
I wish I could give arms to those brave Iranians. The least we should do is give our moral support. It looks like they have got some of those Basij militia on Bikes. I suggest they get some of them to chase them around a corner and then deploy a thin wire across the road. Helmets with heads rolling on ground. I wish them well and bless those who have paid the price.

A little twist and turn here and there and I could see that same thing happening here ala, bailouts, takeovers, stimuli... Then resale, misdirected funds, rigged bankruptcies... Next thing you know, the money is gone.
