Thanks. I think. We are now in the fourth level of hell. Our Founders are now spinning at warp speed.

But would you like a pincer or crusher claw?

You should see some of the claws I’ve seen where I’ve worked — f*cking lobsters were so big, they had claws the size of your head.

All the little political events that I used to love watching, including these kinds of dinners and the SOTU and commencement speeches are just leaving me numb now.

It’s not a partisan thing because I always gave Clinton credit for putting on a good show or a good speech. Obama just doesn’t do anything for me and in five months on the job he has made me hate him with the things that he has done and not done.

Just numb.

I, too, simply can’t watch him, and it has been that way since before he won the election. I switch off the TV instantly.

It’s visceral, in a way. And I, too, have wondered vaguely if this isn’t some sort of instinctive aversion to something very bad. Because it feels like that.

Which is why I could use a transcript on this. But I may watch it anyway, just to catch the audience reaction.

It’s one thing to be suckered into believing campaign promises for a better life but what the heck is wrong with the media. I thought they are suppose to be grizzled veterans of the D.C./N.Y. scene and too savvy to be taken in by anyone. But they have been sucked into this scam big time.

I know it’s painful to watch O’Bummer, but you simply can’t get the whole effect of this thing if you just read a transcript. Seriously, didn’t anyone else think that this guy looked “impaired”? How much had he had to drink? If he were a comedian at Comedy Central, I wouldn’t have a problem with that–but he’s the POTUS. He has absolutely no respect for the office. God, I’m just sick about this clown.

My son returned home tonight after 2 weeks of National Guard. Most of the guys there, like he did, served in the regular Army–multiple tours in Iraq or Afghanistan. When I asked him how he went, he just smiled and said, “We talked a lot about the revolution.”

labwriter on June 20, 2009 at 12:35 AM

OK, I’ve watched this whole stupid thing, and I have some comments:

First, I hate that little mustache. I really do. It reminds me of Hitler’s little mustache. I know, I know . . . but it does.

Second, I’m not impressed by a president working so hard to be a stand-up comic. Maybe this is traditional, I don’t know. But it isn’t seemly. And it’s painful to watch him working so hard at it.

Third, the things he was joking about – most of them, I don’t consider joking matters! The only good joke was about Brian Williams being in bed with him. (Now THAT was a good joke!)

Fourth, don’t discount the possible presence of teleprompters. He did do quite a bit of the tennis game head thing, particularly over his right shoulder, where his eyes seemed to go to the same spot every time.

And finally, he really shouldn’t dis other people. I know Biden is a buffoon, but Obama really, really shouldn’t put him down so much. It’s awful.

Amen to that! When Reagan spoke at these events, his delivery and humor was so second nature you didn’t even notice him being funny. Hell, even Clinton was almost a natural at it. I didn’t, nor will I watch these vids, but I can only imagine how stilted and wooden he was at his delivery.

Well, Obama thought Obama was funny. It seems his vanity has worn nearly everyone into a mad rush for the breathing-room-door. The one down the hall, in the other building, next door, on the next plane, two states over, just anywhere he isn’t.

You are really nice! (That sounds pretty bland…but the sentiment is there!) :o)

OT:
This election has been very difficult for me. By nature, I am a student…I love reading and getting to the bottom of things. I love, love, LOVE truth…but, conversely, I have a major issue with falsehood. I cannot tolerate lies. I hate them in all forms, and certainly inconsistencies within my own self! So, during the election, my motivation was anti-Obama…truly the greater of two evils, given that McCain’s duplicity (which he nauseatingly called “Maverick” stuff) and pandering was clearly less dangerous than the Trojan Horse Obama. I read all about Alinsky during the election. I poured myself out telling friends and family about this man. Mostly, I looked at the little ones I am in charge of (with my husband) and it smacked me upside the head: they will not have the same America as I did.

We’ve been so pampered and lazy. We love to be entertained. The men who “conspire” to take over nations have historically banked on people liking their comfort and entertainment while a whole lot of tyranny is being set up being their backs. I used to think this could not happen to us…we have too many people, too great of an intelligence community, too honest of a press, all of this contingent upon some threat beyond our borders. But, what IS human nature? Look at any world atrocity where we scratch our heads wondering how good people would allow things like this to grow and build…we are the same! We can be ruthless and stupid. We don’t really like to do hard things and certainly hate reading. We leave “hard things” to others to do. Some in my extended family knows that I will always be a reader/watch tower-town crier and they depend on me to tell them all of this stuff while they flit their lives away on idiotic things. It drives me crazy.

But, they don’t have kids.

On topic(this video): I won’t watch this guy play the “normal” “funny guy” anymore. His mask has slipped one too many times. I think there are few things to applaud him for and given his radical ideology, why would we try? He loathes us. Every thing is suspect.

I do want to guard against one thing here, though: be wary of strong, scary rhetoric. I don’t like hearing things like “I hope he disappears” or something…and I think, even though I agree I wish he would technically cease from being always in our lives, on our screens, in our ears, the left is looking for anything to shut our free speech down. Let’s make sure we are sane in our outrage! haaha I say this to myself as a regular loose canon.

Mommypundit on June 20, 2009 at 5:19 AM

Thaks to all of you folks for commenting on your inability to watch or listen to that guy.Hearing so much about what a great speaker and how inspiring and articulate the media and people in general think he is,I thought there was something wrong with me.I kept thinking “are they listening to the same person I am?” The first time I heard him speak,I lasted about a minute.I have tried several times to listen to him,to try to get an idea of why people are so enamored with his speaking style, but I can’t take more than 30 seconds or so.Anyway,I’m glad I’m not alone in my assessment of him.

dcwvu on June 19, 2009 at 10:44 PM

This must be the comment of the day, because it succinctly says everything about the sort of person who supports Obama and his sort. “Chill” is not a quality a mature person lauds; nor are “funny” and “down to earth” particularly important leadership qualities. Adults recognize that life is serious and requires sobriety, and we look for such qualities as intellectual and emotional maturity. Your extolment of the sorts of attributes revered by adolescent fans of MTV is the greatest argument against universal suffrage I can think of.

The Clinton’s rented out the Lincoln Bedroom and then left with all the furniture, drapes, silver and china.

Now Obama gave permission to skateboard through the White House AND FILM IT for publicity.

Obama wants everyone to say what a great dad he is. He IS NOT. A great dad would not give permission to his children or anyone else to disrespect the White House.

Obama does not respect the Office of the President of the United States of America. Why should our nation’s competitors, opponents, enemies and terrorists?

Obama admits that he was modeled by those without names to be the greatest Celebrity of All, to be worshiped above all. Chris Matthews waved his white flag placed to rest on his crotch. They have the audacity to sick mad dogs on Jon Voight for promoting an end to our national worship of this false prophet, Obama.

Nah not yet — this is my email (plenty of people here have it already so i might as well do it again) — ctharrig@gmail.com

that’s if you have any crazy stories you would get banned for telling here :D

UMMM — all’s quiet on the Western front. idk if you’ve been paying attention to the news at all — but its been a rough week for Obarfo.

Hows the Bier?

I can’t decide –

Obarfy or Obarfo?

Guess what folks, from the Germans I have talked to, they don’t much care for our Precedent.

Most of my cruisemates are moonbats but now are hating Obama.

Sorry for bad typing, the keyboard is backwards here in Germany.

Does it really feel good America? Was it worth electing a buffoon with a pension for infanticide? Wasn’t there another token that was better suited, and could fulfill the identity politics need? After decades of preaching and paying for equality, this is the exact opposite of equality.

After all the bashing of President Bush over the last eight years, this is what gets elected?

I knew it!

HA!! Hippie lettuce — that’s a new one for me. I don’t know much about that stuff so I actually had to google that term. LOL enjoy?

I DVR’d O’Reilly and was watching it late last night. Toward the end, the interrupted programming with Obama here. I changed the channel immediately. I, too, can’t watch the guy.

This is so crude and may get pulled from comments, but when I heard ABC/CBS were doing special programming this week (about Zero), my thought was:

Why doesn’t the media just go ahead and do the BJ on Zero already and get it over with. You know they dying to. If I could draw a cartoon, it would be with the media pleading with Zero, please sir, PLEASE, may I? Next frame, Zero, casually smoking cig., saying “go ahead if you must – but hurry up! I’ve got corporations to run.”

LOL you Knucklehead. Funny thing is last night, we were talking about you, and I said “She can eat grass” — guess you aren’t eating it ;)

The riots are bad, but I’ve lost my optimism and I do think they will not do anything. The Mullas and Ayaat’Allahs will remain. That’s just my opinion, but the upheaval is large in Iran with the students.

There are videos of military factions shooting down on the crowds, etc.

blatantblue on June 20, 2009 at 8:39 AM

Khameini was, in a half assedly manner, going on about investigating the election. At first, I had thought that Rafsanjani in the Majlis actually had enough allies in the Majlis to put pressure on the Ayaat’allah.

But then Khameini has just been like “whateva, shut up” to the protesters, so my original thought was wrong.

Rafsanjani is an adversary of Ahmadinejad, but I guess he’s not gonna’ really do much.

But I wouldn’t worry, Obarfo is making good jokes and wearing bowties.

He’s also “concerned.”

So, in a sense, the Iranian crisis is over.

In other news, Knucklehead, the NORKs want to fire a missile towards Hawaii around the beginning of July, if I understand correctly.

But Obama will make a good joke and Kim Jong Ill will realize he’s been wrong all along.
