Sweet: Glenn Beck gives Gerald Walpin a senility test
posted at 8:50 pm on June 17, 2009 by Allahpundit
Utterly demeaning, but of course that’s the point. In the five months since Hopenchange officially began, I can’t think of a starker example of a media double standard than its treatment of this story. Imagine, imagine, if Bush had trumped up a charge of dementia against someone who was politically inconvenient as grounds for firing him and then it had been discovered that that person was perfectly within his right mind. The uproar over ageism and victimhood at AARP alone would have been like a nuclear blast. As it is, Walpin’s safely relegated to the conservative network that’s been persecuting poor innocent Barack or whatever. Good for him for speaking up and for not refusing a stunt like this to prove, at agonizing length, just what a sham Obama’s charges against him are. The whole clip’s worth watching but if you only have time for the test, skip ahead to about five minutes in.
If you’re curious about the real reason for Walpin’s firing, start here.

Mr. Walpin apparently stepped on the wrong toes.
What is being done to him is pretty ugly.
Chicago style politics, they say.

If there is still justice in this world, the stark criminality of this administration toward Gerald Walpin, will end with Obama’s impeachment.
Rebar on June 17, 2009 at 8:53 PM
Look out Beck…they will be coming after you next…
Seriously, it is a shame what these thugs are doing to this man…and to this country.

He’s a kook… no question about it… I was talking about Beck… Walpin was drooling… yep…

It appears the “he’s crazy” tactic, to smear Walpin, is a something the Obama administration is going to use alot, to get rid of people it views as expendable:

Poor innocent Barack is persecuting The Constitution and Bill Of Rights and that’s gonna affect you too….. Probably allot worse than it’ll hit those of us who actually care about YOUR freedom and are trying to protect it.
But of course, nobody seems to care.

You were right the first time.
Beck has become too influential. Next to Rush, he’s their worst enemy (even worse now than O’Reilly, I think). Rush has shown he’s no easy target, he knows how to defend against the Soros smear machine, so they’ll go after Beck next. He may be an easier target. You watch. It’s coming soon, big time.

Obama-bots everywhere…. no wonder so many idiots posting on youtube about ‘republican fascists’… axelrod is funding a whole army of internet nitwits…
battleoflepanto1571 on June 17, 2009 at 9:11 PM
Mr. Walpin better look both ways before crossing the street …and get a remote starter for his car; this is Chicago we’re dealing with here.
johnsteele on June 17, 2009 at 9:14 PM
Beck isn’t likely to care if they come after him. He’s just on edge enough to be willing to slug it out… and as much as the Axelrod-Emanuel slime team can fling, Beck can dish back. He is also tougher to pin down as a Republican than Rush is.
The question then becomes, will Beck become the eggplant that eats Chicago?
either orr on June 17, 2009 at 9:14 PM
He WAS senile if he thought he could investigate a friend of Obama and not suffer the consequences….these are dems. The rules do not apply. Some republican should demand an independent counsel. The dems would never let it happen but the hysteria and reaction would be amusing.

For all of you who have had no experience working and dealing with Black Democrats, know this…they are untouchable. They can do anything, anytime and anywhere. This guy Walpin will be the victim of backdated memos, scripted stories and vulgar lies. Get used to it for at least four years on the national level. Some of us have been dealing with this for decades.
mr1216 on June 17, 2009 at 9:16 PM
I watched this interview and Glenn Beck took about ten minutes to rail against what obama and machine are doing to Mr. Walpin is sharp as a tack.
Can the democrats say that about Robert Byrd or Teddy Kennedy, even before his ‘tumor’?

Ignores contractual rights of Chrysler bondholders and demonizes them while giving ownership to union he’s beholden to.
Violates the very statute he sponsored in firing Walpin … with no transparency … and then accuses an honorable civil servant of being senile and disoriented.
It’s not just unethical. It’s criminal.

The cool thing about beck he has already told all of his smut, drunk, divorced, lousy father, you name it….I just hope he has a good accountant…It will be hard to Alinsky glenn, because he will “get it” from the get go, and he will tell it and film it and tell it some more….he is not running for office, and he covers his words pretty well, citing the Constitution, etc. and by golly FACTS.

Presidente Pinnochio just got ABC to do their nightly news from the Whitehouse and give him and hour or two of free airtime for an infomercial on healthcare.

The Republicans in Congress have said nothing. A big part of the problem is how the right lets stuff like this go and the left makes it a nonstop winner take all issue for weeks.
Its time our side gets some guts and really makes this stick. If Obama gets away with this, its just going to embolden his whiny incompetent butt.

Right about now, Letterman and his staff of writers are working feverishly on tonight’s monologue. This evening’s theme: Gerald Walpin as the senile, absent minded old man out to lynch innocent black men.
