Beck is completely over the top and theatrical in his delivery, but he ain’t wrong in the lines he’s delivering.

J.J. Sefton on June 18, 2009 at 6:56 AM

Beck is a favorite. But more video of Beck teary eyed is overkill.

Jeff from WI on June 18, 2009 at 6:58 AM

Well the man did say he was part rodeo clown. He really can be funny sometimes.

Terrye on June 18, 2009 at 7:05 AM

So he ties a rope around his wife in bed and tries for the full 8 seconds?

Jeff from WI on June 18, 2009 at 7:23 AM

Opps..that’s not the clown…maybe in a barrel?

Jeff from WI on June 18, 2009 at 7:23 AM

This is from the photo shoot for the GQ article. It just seemed to me the author of the above “heartache” was trying to imply Glenn’s act is all fake. Well if he can cry on demand and its fake, why did he need ‘help’ to do so for this magazine?

http://gawker.com/5293905/exclusive-how-gq-made-glenn-beck-to-cry

Looking at the link I posted though, it is clear what the regular liberal thinks of him.

bucsox79 on June 18, 2009 at 7:25 AM

What is REALLY creepy is that Gawker’s lapsed into it’s “I wanna’ be parental” mode. For probably the first time, evah, I must say.

But it’s still really, really creepy. I thought the intro to their post (your link, your intro here) was particularly somewhat Lizzy Borden-ish: “gee, this ax is heavy, do I have to do this *all by myself*!”

Lourdes on June 18, 2009 at 7:33 AM

(Gawker’s “I wanna’ be parental” creepy mode): Glenn Beck cries all the time because he’s incapable of regulating his emotions. Also, it’s a good image. Here’s some deeply creepy and oddly transfixing behind-the-scenes video of Beck mugging and crying for the camera at his GQ photo shoot.

J.J. Sefton on June 18, 2009 at 6:56 AM

Yeah, agreed. He’s rarely said anything that I don’t agree with — there WAS that slam about the Obama Birth Certificate question, but that was about it from his entire range of broadcasts.

Long live Loxodonta!

hillbillyjim on June 18, 2009 at 1:47 AM

Hear! Hear! Lox is a gem.

mikeyboss on June 18, 2009 at 7:50 AM

Beck’s overly animated deliver bothers me a bit, but his content is the best in the business. No one, but no one brings the facts and translates the micro to the macro better than Glenn. His show on Fox is almost “must see” tv for me.

marklmail on June 18, 2009 at 8:00 AM

I love Glenn, American Women so much!

and the libs absolutely hate him, so he must be effective to those outside of our “intelligent” circle.

kelley in virginia on June 18, 2009 at 8:07 AM

Becks delivery rubs me the wrong way at times but I guess he gets the substance right a good part of the time. On this however, I’m a bit bothered by his rightfully criticizing what the photographer had done to children previously and then acting like that was nothing and in effect mocking the whole storm over her actions. Or is he just that clueless and really didn’t know it was THAT photographer or realize how such photos would be perceived?

aikidoka on June 18, 2009 at 8:20 AM

Whay a nitwit crybaby AprilOrit really is.

hillbillyjim on June 18, 2009 at 12:23 AM

Actually what a hypocrite he is and you all are.

You and he hated the photog when she photographed McCain and the kids, but now suddenly she’s swell and wonderful when she does Beck?

What gives? All of the cristicism gets blinded out by your adulation of Glenn and his need of make it in GQ?

Sounds very Lib to me…..

AprilOrit on June 18, 2009 at 8:26 AM

If David Letterman can fake his regrets, why can’t Beck?

Crusty on June 18, 2009 at 8:38 AM

AprilOrit on June 18, 2009 at 9:29 AM

I can’t really get into this guy. He strikes me as a bit of a moron and a major ham.

But he could be worse. At least he’s not liberal.

Sign of the Dollar on June 18, 2009 at 9:33 AM

He lives his life on his terms.

I like him.

Miss Molly on June 18, 2009 at 9:46 AM

Hmmm Glenn is a breath of fresh air. Hes spot on about “O” Dumbo ears and the Lefts agenda

Lawrence Talbot: Tonight’s a full moon. When the sun goes down, I’ll turn into a wolf.

Costello: You and a million other guys.

DrAllecon on June 18, 2009 at 10:16 AM

Maybe this will get on The Onion.

After all, onions make some people cry.

Steve Z on June 18, 2009 at 10:21 AM

WTF was that all about? There’s 5 minutes I’ll never get back!

jdsmith0021 on June 18, 2009 at 10:48 AM

Hey AP it’s the message, not the messenger. Try repeating that a few times
before you let Beck’s personality get to you. You have to know that Owebama
and the rest of the Junior Alinsky Academy crew from Chicago are repeating
“target, isolate and demonize. They don’t need any help with their tactics.
Beck is useful in mobilizing opinion among people that are uninformed or
unable to navigate blogs for info.. They are going to be important going forward
if these traitorous radicals are to be confronted and thrown out.

ontherocks on June 18, 2009 at 11:14 AM

I’ll take anyone who speaks the truth, and Beck speaks the truth. Give me truth over those elite pundits any day of the week.
