Republican voters were underrepresented in the thing, too. They were 45% of the electoral results, but only 39% of the people who responded to the poll as having voted for McCain (excluding those that didn’t vote.) Obama got 51% in the election, and roughly 50% of the respondents (again excluding non-voters) said that they voted for him.

So when looking that these numbers, remember that Obama voters are overrepresented.

Excellent comment. Obama can quite easily promise not to raise taxes on those who already don’t pay them. (He wouldn’t be able to collect much, anyway, since they make so little.)

The problem for Obama comes when the price of everything else starts to go up. That will hit the non-taxpayers in the wallet and promises about not raising their taxes become totally meaningless.

Remember, the spike in oil and subsequent hike in gas and food prices started all the dominoes falling for the Republicans in 2008. That looks like it’s beginning to happen again, and doesn’t even take into account the coming inflation wave. Obama has to force his agenda through before all this hits. It’s going to be ugly.

Obama lied about tax cuts for the $40K a year set because those who make $40K a year don’t pay any taxes. That is one of the many myths – like the supposed 47 million uninsured – that for some odd reason is never challenged by the GOP.

If you make anything less than $75K a year, your tax bill is negligible. Less than $40K a year and it’s $0 in most cases. Which is why the notion of a middle class tax cut is laughable. The middle class doesn’t pay any taxes. You cannot cut something that doesn’t exist.

What pisses me off to no end is that I paid more in federal taxes last year than the majority of Americans grossed. Yet Obama and his gang of thieves keep telling me that I’m not paying my fair share.

Keep in mind these poll numbers are nuanced by a 40% rally in the stock market. If the market should test or break the March lows, Obama and crew will probably be shown the door in 2012 if the Repubs could show a little leadership.

Maybe this explains why he’s on TV all the time, aside from the fact that he believes he’s a superstar. And when you think about it, he really hasn’t accomplished that much on his own, he’s farmed out a lot of bills for Congress to create. Huge mistake…they’re incompetent. He hasn’t even made any considerable remarks on the important issues, either, like North Korea or Iran. He doesn’t need the GOP to want him to fail, he’s doing it all on his own.
