Video: Useful idiot makes himself useful to Hamas

posted at 7:35 pm on June 16, 2009 by Allahpundit

No surprise. He’s been making himself useful to them for years, from accusing Israel of apartheid to lying about the history of U.S. policy towards Hamas to insisting on national television that the group can be trusted to literally embracing their scumbag leadership and finally to blithely asserting here that Hamas’s leaders “want peace,” based on what evidence I can scarcely imagine. I wish he’d have elaborated on his point about the F-16s, though. I’m curious to know whether he thinks the solution there is to stop selling arms to Israel or to start selling arms to Hamas.

Oh, and he also wants them taken off the State Department’s terror list, naturally. Proof positive that no matter how willing Obama is to shake Iran’s bloody hand, there are still lines he won’t cross that Jimbo’s only too happy to sail over. Kudos to the cameraman, by the way, for keeping the shifty-looking Hamas “minder” in frame for the duration, thereby further undermining Carter’s credibility.

Solidifying his position as the worst ex-President in history.

Socratease on June 16, 2009 at 9:05 PM

That`s it, I fully believe Jimmy Carter hates Israel, hates Jews and hates his country.

ThePrez on June 16, 2009 at 9:06 PM

That has to be the best ventriloquist act by the guy in blue (to Carter’s right) that I have ever seen. He’s got the accent down and everything. Very impressive work.

“The Hamas leaders want peace.”

Yeah Carter, they want peace like I want to stand in a dress with 9″ heels in San Francisco on a hot summer day covered in “free man-sex stickers.”
If you believe that, you’re ready for the padded room buddy.

Geronimo on June 16, 2009 at 9:13 PM

Of COURSE the Nobel committee isn’t going to give someone a prize for saving JOOs, think about it, people!

Can we get Carter to just STAY over there, PLEASE?!?!

How does someone ally themselves with MURDERERS and GENOCIDAL MANIACS and the MSM is okay with that? When someone finally finds a cure for insanity, there are going to be a LOT of really, really embarrassed people.

“The Hamas leaders want Israel in peace pieces.”

ThePrez on June 16, 2009 at 9:17 PM

Wait.. I need to update my terrorist scorecard. I thought Hamas are Palestinian Terrorist…

… No wonder the TOTUS gets so confused.

Wolftech on June 16, 2009 at 9:20 PM

Why doesn’t this doddering old fool go back to Plains, Ga. and sit on the porch in a rocker. He could watch the peanuts grow and tell Roslyn to make some more sweet tea. He was terrible at foreign policy in the 70′s and has eclipsed that. I still remember waiting in a line at the gas stations in Florida in the summer. Thanks, Jimma.

Kissmygrits on June 16, 2009 at 9:23 PM

The Hamas leaders want peace pieces.

Fixed it for ya Jimmah.

shick on June 16, 2009 at 9:31 PM

Hamas wants peace?

Sure they do. If you define “peace” as the total subjugation of Israel to Islam…or death to all Jews…as a precondition to “peace.”

Carter has no room to talk about anything dealing with the Middle East. it was his wonderful understanding of global politics that ushered in the New Age of Radical Islam back in 1979, and we have been paying for it dearly ever since.

He is in large part responsible for the Khomeni state of Iran today shooting people in the streets, in large part responsible for Americans being killed by the people he’s standing with, and in large part responsible as he says for Arabs being killed by Israel due to a situation he helped create.
Why does the mainstream media pay any attention to a failed one term ex president whose policies were the worst ever for our economy and foreign policy?
Worst President ever by far.

DenneyCrane on June 16, 2009 at 9:52 PM

Too bad GW is too classy to go to Israel on a mirror image trip. We all know the OUTRAGE that would ensue if that actually happened.

Fornax on June 16, 2009 at 7:46 PM

Did anyone catch how Carter’s exit route had two car bombs planted by Hamas extremists (what does it take to be labeled a Hamas extremist?) and he was almost blasted into his final reward?

Just after saying we should take Hamas off the terrorist organizations list.

Irony, sweet irony.

Worse than that; by acknowleding Hamas extremists, we must also be acknowledging that there are Hamas moderates.

Dividing them into schools of ideology is the first step to finding them acceptable partners in negotiation.

Soon enough, the left will find a way to say we need to reach out to the more moderate elements of Hamas, as part of the solution.

Solidifying his position as the worst ex-President in history.

I think Obama’s performance so far has him worried.

Carter will need a huge lead to hold that title once Barry leaves office.

Someone needs to tell Mr. Peanut to go and live in Iran if he loves it so much. After all he didn’t have the kehonas to rescue 52 US hostages. He should have given iran an ultimatum; Either release the hostages or I’ll send a squadron of B-52′s with full nuclear complement and wipe you (iran) off the face of the earth. Instead he did nothing but kiss their backside. What a coward

adamsmith on June 17, 2009 at 7:01 AM

The peanut former spent too many years in the fields and became a true American NUT. History will show that he was truly the WORST PRESIDENT IN THE WORLD!

afotia on June 17, 2009 at 7:33 AM

Carter,,, he is the definition of an incompetent fool. He has left trails of blood all around the world,,, trails that lead back to his own hands. He is clueless though. He thinks and talks as though some great reward awaits him somewhere. The man has caused untold suffering, hardship and death. He is the reason we have the Iran we have today. How many innocent people have been butchered in Iran alone because of this sorry excuse of a man? And yet,, he is clueless. Just wandering around the world appeasing any and all tyrants who will open a door for him.

JellyToast on June 17, 2009 at 7:42 AM

A sad and pathetic old man, begging for some scrap of relevancy from a world that long ago left him behind.

SKYFOX on June 17, 2009 at 8:25 AM

Jimmy has a fairly high IQ, proving once again that raw intelligence is not a predictor of common sense (The Won also fits nicely into this description). He’s an embarrassment to his alma mater, the navy, the peanut growers association, the State of Georgia, his country, the world, the solar system, galaxy and universe.

WordsMatter on June 17, 2009 at 8:40 AM

I wonder if Larry Flynt and his sister were with him on this trip

bluegrass on June 17, 2009 at 9:03 AM

Jimmy and his wife have never, ever recovered from losing to Ronald Reagan, a man they both detested. Since then, 1980, he has hated that part of America that elected Reagan.

patrick neid on June 17, 2009 at 9:29 AM

Well I’m from Atlanta and here’s where the Carter Center is. It’s been reported many times in our local independent media (not the AJC!) that Palestinian and Arabs are the primary source of income for his Center.
He’s just doing what he’s paid to do.

ChristianRock on June 17, 2009 at 9:59 AM

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter says he had to “hold back tears” upon seeing Israeli destruction in Gaza.

But no tears for the innocent who were killed by Hamas rockets. No respect here for Jimmy.

el rey on June 17, 2009 at 10:05 AM

I wonder how much innocent blood is on Carters hands for supporting terrorists. The man is a traitor.

Jeff from WI on June 17, 2009 at 10:34 AM

Carter has spent the last 30 years blaming the JOOOOS and the rest of America for throwing his incompetent ass out. And he’s been punishing us ever since with his meddling bigotry and bitterness.

Carter is a pathetic, angry old man. Ignore this Jew hating, Anti-American creep. Besides, a much younger man has taken the torch from him anyway.

RadClown on June 17, 2009 at 10:37 AM

How does Former President Carter manage to stay in the news? The Demoncrates need Former President Carter to show that President Obama’s problems are not as bad as Carter’s past or present actions. “Welcome Back Mr. Carter/Kotter”

Is bulldozing Flint making room for a Carter habitat?

MSGTAS on June 17, 2009 at 10:45 AM

Hamas wants peace. Only if you comply with the provisions of the Koran will you have peace and then you only have three choices: conversion, subjugation and second class status or death.

LarryG on June 17, 2009 at 10:46 AM

Why doesn’t this doddering old fool go back to Plains, Ga.

Simple, really. The idiot was attending Nixon’s funeral and saw how respected Dick still was as a politician. Carter just can’t get it through his thick skull as to why no one has any respect for him as a politician. Since that funeral, we’ve seen him everywhere in a sad and futile attempt to change his own legacy. Every memory that people have of the man is individually a legacy killer – the country’s “malaise”; sky-high interest rates; long lines at the pumps; US citizens being held for 444 days and the only attempt to rescue them was a transparent ploy to win re-election that ended in disaster because military cuts left the US without the proper equipment for the mission; the “killer” rabbit. After he was sent home in defeat, he became a fixture at every dictator’s rigged election declaring each of them a fair and legitimate election. He was given a princely sum for his ability to declare the winner with 100% of the vote and do it with a straght face.

The man’s entire legacy is one SNL skit after another.

Carter has never forgiven us for thinking less of him than he thinks of himself.

LarryD on June 17, 2009 at 11:14 AM

This man sent UNARMED jets to the rescue in his administration. What value could this has-been have other than he has no authority to do anything. Much to do about nothing presidency asks the former do nothing former president to represent our country.. Where is our Hilary that was going to save the world. She is obviously a laughing stock overseas and they have to put this idiot in charge..

Good luck world, he have no representation.

workingforpigs on June 17, 2009 at 12:16 PM

If we wanted to really send assistance to the Gaza area, why not send them a bunch of FEMA trailers, they were good enough for the folks in New Orleans and would qualify as condos for these people.

Good enough for us, good enough for them…

workingforpigs on June 17, 2009 at 12:17 PM

Hamas does not want peace, they want money and time to rebuild their tunnels so they can smuggle more weapons in. Get a clue Carter.

On the other hand, just maybe, he enjoys making an a** out of himself.
