Video: Obama whines about Fox News, kills fly

posted at 6:59 pm on June 16, 2009 by Allahpundit
Share on Facebook | printer-friendly

In which The One celebrates getting his very own health-care infomercial in primetime on broadcast TV by arguing that Fox News’s criticism proves the media isn’t biased in his favor. “I’ve got one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration,” he says, neglecting to mention that he’s also got one entirely devoted to praising it and a bunch of others perpetually softballing him in the guise of objectivity.

The Fox News whinge happened in the same interview as his Jedi-like fly-swat but they’re in two separate clips. I’m posting the more substantive of the two below. You can watch the other here.

its not that bambi is such a whining sissy baby, its more that his wife is such a he-man.

oops, AP, have i gone too far?

kelley in virginia on June 16, 2009 at 8:51 PM

Since when should any “news” station being doing a “positive” story about any President. They should report what the President does not spin it positive or negative. There in lies Fox’s sin in the eyes of the great Obama.

petunia on June 16, 2009 at 8:51 PM

What a wuss. Most people in his place would ignore it, but he’s such a self-absorbed, creepy little candy-assed pansy that he knows the press will tolerate such nonsense.

Tomorrow the media will claim that they are thrilled to have a president who is willing to take aggressive action when necessary and only when necessary.

Greta was a pathetically blatant cheerleader for Palin during the campaign.

Lizza on June 16, 2009 at 8:49 PM

Really? REALLY?

She was the ONLY journalist that actually tried to get to know who the newcomer on the national stage was. She WENT to Alaska and interviewed people that knew Gov. Palin.

Everyone else repeated what they read on blogs.

Up must be down nowadays.

Merely a trifle; an inconveience easily dealt with.

OMG! Nicole Wallace of the Couric promoting interview of Palin fame is on Hannity AGAIN, and speaking about this interview of Obama! Her buds feelings are going to be hurt! Why does this woman show up on Hannity all the time?

freeus on June 16, 2009 at 9:08 PM

beside Hannity, what other shows on Fox are rabidly anti Obama? I can’t think of any. They definitely go out of their way to get the conservative view out in front, but what is so bad about that that the president has to whine about it so often? This guy is the biggest baby. He is loved by the press like nobody else in history. He OWNS the press, and he’s crying about Hannity? good grief man grow a pair.

This man can’t tolerate reasonable opposition. I wonder what he would do if Hollywood put out a movie ridiculing him, as they did to Bush? I expect that in 2010 the voters will overwhelming reject Obama and his policies.

There is something very disturbing about a president who tries to intimidate the free press. It is entirely unamerican to do so. The press is allowed to criticize the government but the reverse is off limits, as well it should be.

The sickest part is that 90% of the media is in the tank for the A-Hole and he still complains.

Hey Liberals, do you guys have any SHAME at all?

Geochelone on June 16, 2009 at 9:49 PM

It isn’t enough for President TelePrompter to have NYT/ABC/CNN/NBC/CBS fawning over him? Is this a first, for a sitting president to attack (on a regular basis) a cable network?

FNC ratings beat the other cable shows combined. That’s alot of viewers…

TN Mom on June 16, 2009 at 9:53 PM

And he did it all on his own, without any help from the Fly-Swatting Czar.

My twenty-four year old son told me last night, he was blinded by the Hope & Change and fell for obama. He is very upset to find out Obama is just a shrewed politian with an army of media as his PR firm. The firing of the Inspector General was the final straw for my son; I doubt he will ever vote for another Democrat. True story.

“I’ve got one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration,”

That is a big problem: I suggest as President, you tell everyone in your administration to avoid any/all favortism toward the other networks. YOU set the tone of your own administration. While you’re at it, send a letter to all networks demanding they ask you/your administration tough, fair, critical questions. For the good of the country. As President, you do want what is best for the country, right?

As opposed to every other channel repeating rumors from blogs about book banning, Trig’s real mother, bridge to nowhere “lies” (even though Newsweek credited her with it in 2007), blah blah blah? Yeah, I’d say interviewing people that ACTUALLY KNOW the person (whom most of America had never heard of) would constitute serious journalism.

One person actually tries to get to know who a person is, and SHE is the person who is not practicing serious journalism? That’s the same bass-ackward logic that Obama is using when he claims the media is hard on him because of ONE network.

Take your strawman arguments and the rest of your bullshit elsewhere.

I don’t see that as bias at all. Palin IS an American woman, a true success story. We don’t know for sure WHERE Obama was born. What we do know about him are his ties to every crooked politician in Chicago, a couple of known terrorists, and ACORN.

Both programs were appropriately named by any objective measure.

UltimateBob on June 16, 2009 at 11:30 PM

Dude–yes, balanced. If he wasn’t balanced, how else would he be saying nice things about Obama. Bill was brought up to respect others, treat them as he would be treated and to give the benefit of the doubt when appropriate. He is slightly more deferential of the President, probably because of his office, however, Bill will call wrong when wrong needs to be called particularly on issues of violence against children and outright corruption. When Obama has moved wrong on certain issues, Bill has called him on it. I distinctly remember the words “The president is wrong” uttered by Bill during a TP memo a few weeks back. Can’t recall the issue, but I watch his analysis closely. It is slightly off of mine, but Bill’s analysis helps me realize the bias I bring to issues, and it helps me back myself down a bit. I admit, I’m outright partisan and have to fight against my own bias to actually “see” fair and balanced when it is in front of me.

Man up Barack. I think the best thing to do is allow an interview with Fox news. Take that beast head on. What do say? I nominate Meagan Kelley for the interviewer. Come on B you can handle a woman right? Let’s get this Fox news crew some action. Fox wants to ask you nothing other than your thoughts on the current events. The only hang up for you will be the follow up questions to your remarks. That’s right, this news service won’t let you get away with strawman arguments, historical revisonism and what ever else you descide to spew forth. That right, we need some more um’s, uh’s & let me clears from you. Stand up Barry and be a man. You can even have your wife sit next to you to give that moral support while Michelle can scowl at Meagan. I’m ready to see that happen. How about a TOWNHALL meeting with Fox complete line up of stars less Shep & Jerry Rivers. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You know in retaliation for Obama’s attack on them Fox News should pick a slow news day and do every storey and news piece about Obama in the most ass kissing, sycophantic manner possible to highlight just how biased the MSM has become, especially when it comes to Obama.

Either that or they could offer Sarah Palin the same coverage ABC is giving Obama next week on the same day at the same time. Or alternatively they could have a on air Fox news Tea Party at the same time as ABC’s coverage from the white house as a sort of rebuttal to ABC’s Barack Obama propaganda hour.
