After a great many drinks and cloves, I must report that Midnight Cowboy, is in fact a quite remarkable story about friendship and the harsh landscape of the big city. You can take the larger themes extracted from the book for what they’re worth, but disregard them and you have a touching story about two men, trying to get along in an unforgiving world.

Crowder didn’t have a chance in Hollywood not because of any lack of talent or his political beliefs but because he is a normal-sized person.

Seriously. Casting directors see you as some kind of monster if you’re a guy that’s six feet tall or more.
