Borrowing money is how CA has been able to “balance” its budget for years now. We’ve sold bonds, etc. to borrow on future revenue to pay for today’s spending, and that was before the recession hit!!!

To all those bashing CA as a liberal hell hole, yes, there are way too many unthinking libs who will vote for anyone with a D by their name. But there are also a lot of conservative voters here, just not enough of them to counter the libs. Just like any large entity, we are not all alike here. The city I live in has a healthy financial reserve and fairly conservative government.

The CA Dems need to stop the “Reckless Spending” In addition, CA US needs to cut its expenses by eliminating redundancy, Cut Salaries: Some salaries as much as 40%, deny ~~any~~ all support for Illegal Immigrants: Send ~~the~~ all Illegal Immigrants ~~Criminals~~ back to Mexico, Renegotiate ALL contacts with SEIU to reduce the burden obligated by the government CA Taxpayers already pay more than their fair share in taxes.

Good plan for the federal government as well.

Each day CA comes closer to running out of money the happier I am. The dim historonics are like the frantic appeals of a condemned man going to the gas chamber.

I am not worried at all about the cuts affecting me because as a CA budget official has candidly admitted-the gov’t doesn’t provide services for the middle class.

I had such high hopes for Arnold but I always knew that the danger of the Kennedy’s lurked behind the scenes.

His response concerning illegals and motorcycle accidents was perfect.
