Letterman Top Ten: Palin has a “slutty flight attendant look”; Audio: “Pathetic,” says Palin

I bet Ashley Herzog’s bummed he didn’t pull this a day earlier, huh? It would have made a sweet addition to her latest column. The best part: Letterman wondering why Slutty Flight Attendant didn’t stop by the show.
I guess if you can’t make ‘em laugh anymore, you might as well make ‘em wince. You missed your calling as a writer for Playboy, Dave.
Update: Conservatives 4 Palin has audio from John Ziegler’s radio show of Palin’s reaction. She’s not amused but cheerful as always.
Update (Ed): John Ziegler has his entire interview with Governor Palin here.

Letterman hasn’t been funny my entire adult life.

What’s the surprise…he lost any semblence of class a long time ago. The laughter from the audience just illustrates the old saying “Birds of a feather.”

Letterman has that pseudo-eternal juvenile look that scares little kids in alleys.

Libs and Donks have nothing but contempt for us. If they had their way, they’d have us all exterminated. But they’re too big a bunch of cowards for that so they sit around and make their little jokes about us being harmed in one way or another and secretly pray for us all to get some deadly disease.

I don’t see it because it doesn’t exist. Which is why you haven’t explained the contradiction either.
She can provide a short-term bump while still proving to be a drag in the long run (due to her disastrous media appearances). What don’t you understand about this?
crr6 on June 9, 2009 at 10:52 PM
Never ceases to amaze when it comes to the Palin bashers; according to them, she’s an idiot, bimbo, totally unquallified to be president and unelectable…if that were the case, why wouldn’t they just ignore her in the same manner the ignore someone like Ron Paul?
Truth is, the Palin haters are fighting a war. Truth is, Governor Palin is not just A threat to them, their golden calf, boy-king president and to their entire view of how the world should be, but she is THE threat to all of that AND THEY KNOW IT.
Think of it in simple millitary tactics: do you concentrate your attack on the probing light cavalry or skirmishers who can’t really do much damage to you and in pitched battle can easily be swept aside OR do you concentrate the bulk of your forces in an all out attack to take the heavy artillary positions on the high ground?
Sarah Palin’s the GOP’s heavy guns on the heights with a full view of the battlefield and as such, the Donks and the libs will continue their assault, regardless of the casualties in decency and human dignity to try and destroy her.
I’d say it’s high time the rest of the GOP figure that out and mobilize the our own ground forces for a double envelopement of the increasingly reckless Donk assault forces.
SuperCool on June 9, 2009 at 10:52 PM
It’s time that this double standard ends. Decent people, conservatives, Republicans, actors, comedians, WOMEN, MOTHERS, gentlemen: should not only boycott this show, but should call the local stations who carry it, and the advertisers who make it possible. It’s time to take back our culture, and push back on this perversion of comedy. Using the term loosely.
Where are the Women’s groups on this? Where is the outrage about “the children”?
Was this CBS? Oh yeah. *sigh* See BS.

Any Conservative making a statement like Letterman would be having calls to boycott them or be kicked off ESPN or MSNBC after single statements. It would be hard to adopt the entire Brigade but the company sized units have a lot of stuff being sent to them. My Commander just put me in a small detachment for at least the next 90 days. We’re about the size of a small platoon. Do you want to adopt us? :-)
We like all manner of grade schoolers sending us cards (some of the nicest and funniest stuff I’ve ever read, better than Letterman at least) and cookies.

So much for late night tv! I guess I can read. I guess it’s Ok to be older and not want to watch the juveniles and I’m sick of them always making jokes of the conservatives. If I could watch one night and make a list of their sponsors I’d write them too.

Yeah…. anybody watch O’Reilly tonight? During the “Pinheads and Patriots” segment, he ran the clip of Letterman’s monologue about Palin’s 14-yr old daughter getting knocked up in the 7th inning of a Yankees game. Afterwards, O’Reilly just smirked and said, “Pinhead? You make the call.”
That spineless WUSS O’Reilly didn’t even have the cojones to actually call Letterman a PINHEAD for that! I was livid. If that doesn’t qualify as a pinhead comment, I don’t know what would.
I guess he wants to play nice with Letterman so he’ll get invited back on his show. Just like the hollywood leftists do.
My respect level for O’Reilly took a major dive after tonights show.
Oh, and the Jon Voight segment was mostly “meh.” The actual speech he gave was much better.

Who is Dave Letterman?
DL13 on June 10, 2009 at 1:44 AM
O’Reilly’s always thrilled to cut people up and toss them in the blender. But Letterloon gets a pass… just a gentle wink and nod. Ridiculous, but not really surprising.
And again, Dave knocked up his woman and took years to marry her. Targeting kids and teens for that type of humor is NEVER okay. Most important, quit protecting these two jokes in the White House. They’re both very ripe for parody as we see on different blogs and videos. “The most elegant, unflappable couple evah?” That description alone had someone joking about the new Blackie O. I’m not sure that’s appropriate for even late night humor. But I’m sure those brilliant Ivy league guys can come up with something . . . if they learn to put their own awkward racism away.
Vermont Neighbor on June 10, 2009 at 1:48 AM
For some reason, O’Reilly seems to want to be considered cool in front of Letterman’s audience and have Letterman as a friend. Obama has the same effect on O’Reilly. They must have something on him because his fear of these two is pathetically obvious.

It used to be that way all over the US. Knuckle dragging men, not pacified PC betas. I’m proud to be one of the former.
It’s one thing to insult from afar, from behind the safety of a label…comedian. I call him coward and bully.
It has always been the duty of a husband to defend his wife and her honor. I see no shame in that.
Honor…a word that Letterman is unfamiliar with I think.

There was a time when I did enjoy Letterman. I liked his pencil tossing and references to beverages. I haven`t looked that closely when I channel surf through him these days. Does he still have a beverage on his desk? If so, I wonder what it contains? A figurative Socratic beverage? One that won`t kill him, but has sunk him to ever deeper levels that result in no business in show business? To be honest, I don`t even think his in studio audience enjoyed his reference to Ms.Palin`s daughter. The reaction was . . . not there. I heard crickets chirping. At least that is my take on his malicious unwisecrack.
Sherman1864 on June 10, 2009 at 5:07 AM
She provided much more than a short term bump! That’s why the left STILL finds much to hate her for and disparage her with. If she is so negligible to the Conservative resurgence, I find it odd that her name shows up in the news virtually daily! The time and money the left spends trying to “pin” something on her is amazing. OMG… she wore an Arctic Cat jacket to a race that sponsored her husbands team – national disaster! She gives a speech introducing Michael Reagan and uses properly attributed words from Newt Gingerich and it’s plagiarism, the author apparently too ignorant to even know what plagiarism means – have her arrested!!
Disastrous media appearances?? She may have made a faux pas or two in the beginning, but I’d like to see anyone suddenly thrust into the limelight with the vultures circling and waiting to pounce, give a perfect speech. Explain the president and his idiot minions…. without TOTUS, the president sounds horrible like he has a speech impediment, Geithner gets a failing grade especially after his latest speech to the Chinese (they laughed at him) and the biggest idiot of all the VP – talking about a tunnel “Look, this is designed, this totally new tunnel, is designed to provide for automobile traffic,” Biden said. “It’s something, as you know, up your way, that’s been in the works and people have been clamoring for for a long time.” it’s a train tunnel you moron. Which is just the latest in the long line of stupid stuff he says.
I thought the same thing, but Bristol Palin is now 18, so that charge couldn’t stick, could it? Too bad if not, it would give me great pleasure to see Mr. Rodriquez sue him over it.
A knocked up joke from someone who lived with his now wife 20 some odd years before marrying her and 5-6 years after the birth of his son. Typical left thought – make jokes at the expense of someone when you’re guilty of the same thing. I hope his wife got it and b!tch slapped him when he got home.
ladyhawke53 on June 10, 2009 at 5:25 AM
Why don’t we start asking this question of those who approve of this joke, or think its “no big deal”:
What if Letterman had said this about one of Obamas daughters? Being that is viewed as “okay” (double grade “D” stamp of approval!) for Willow, a minor, to be “knocked up” by A-Rod, why then is it not okay for Malia, or Natasha?
I think the uproar had it been a joke about either of the first children would be universal, and end in Lettermans demise (career wise).
I think it to be a tragedy that sexually demeaning jokes became appropriate and applauded by the left with the arrival of Sarah Palin. I will NOT tolerate however innocent CHILDREN being demeaned in such a way. I don’t care who their parents are, if I agree or don’t agree with them politically to do so is WRONG. Period.
Are there any boycott lists out there yet?

Willow, not Bristol, was the daughter who accompanied Sarah to Yankee Stadium. Willow is 14/15-years-old. Perhaps Letterman didn’t know that.
Perhaps Letterman also didn’t know that cracking “slut jokes” about teenage girls was undignified. Perhaps he forgot that dignity used to be a prerequisite to hosting a nightly program on national television.

Perhaps when Conan bombs, they can put in on the tonight show.
Cleveland Steamer on June 10, 2009 at 5:58 AM
My point is that it was a completely rude and inappropriate “joke”, no matter who was the target. The fact that the target was an adolescent girl only makes it more disgusting.
Sarah, Todd, Track and Bristol may be old enough to laugh it off. But what about Willow? This crap is not what she (Sarah) bargained for. It’s not the kind of criticism any of them bargained for.
And I would be astounded if Todd didn’t clock him if the two of them ever crossed paths. (I’d actually pay to see Todd Palin knock David Letterman’s teeth down his throat.)
But enough righteous anger…
Tuning Spork on June 10, 2009 at 6:18 AM
Sorry, but Sarah Palin was the Republican ticket last year. I worked in the campaign offices. Zero enthusiasm for McCain. He came to an event in late July here in Wisconsin and we could not even fill a 1000 seat venue.
He came again on several occasions after he picked Palin, even late October and we had to turn people away.
You can keep imagining whatever you want, but it is your imagination, nothing more.

In case anyone’s keeping score, Letterman returned to the well last night and made a joke suggesting either that Elliot Spitzer is a pedophile or that Willow Palin is a whore.
Kensington on June 10, 2009 at 7:11 AM
Apparently we’re to believe that Letterman and his writers knew one of Palin’s three daughters was with her at the Yankees game, but were too stupid and lazy to make sure it was the daughter who’s over 18 and actually got knocked up before writing a joke about Alex Rodriguez, y’know, knocking her up.
I’m not sure how that’s more complimentary to Letterman and his staff, but I suppose it’s possible.

Shame on you David Letterman for making sexist comments about a teenage girl. You are a throwback to a bygone age when Liberal Men degraded women behind closed doors because of their own insecurity and self worth. Now you are degrading young girls with your HATE Speech because you have become an old and irrelevant and your self esteem is in the gutter.
What next, degrading girls 3rd grade? I bet that takes a lot of guts for a big man to do that.
We understand that this is a matter of routine for liberals. But when you are out in public you shouldn’t act like a liberal. Just because Liberals act like they belong in a zoo doesn’t give you a special right for HATE SPEECH.

Speaking as a lifelong Republican… I don’t “hate” Sarah Palin but she is not the future of the party nor is she ready for high national office. She just hasn’t had the kind of experience in national policy making that I want to see in candidates running for high office. Put another way- Barak Obama’s resume is more impressive than Sarah Palin’s and it is pretty damned hard to find somebody less qualified for high office than the filthy liar currently infesting the White House.

Why is it okay for a dirty old man to make jokes about a girl he’s never met but not okay to discuss the children that may or not be the offspring of the filthy liar in the White House?

I know I’m stating the obvious but Letterman needs to issue an apology to the Palin family. I have to believe he thought he was making the joke about Bristol, not that that’s much better (but at least she isn’t a minor).
To think otherwise, that he would knowingly say this about a 14 year old girl, defies any sense of decency, even in the liberal world.
Todd Palin must be itching to do some bodily damage.

Letterman is a dirty OLD man who subscribes to the antics of hate sex not only against Conservative Women but against children as well.
People who watch Letterman, intentionally or not, support his antics at the very least via tolerance for rape.
I noted a story last week from Santa Clara, CA that the DA refused to prosecute a case of rape (sports ball teams) despite 3 eye witnesses and strong investigation conducted by the Sheriff. The television reporter summed up the ugly retro perspective held by the public today: the victim was to blame for having attended a party with her friends where drinks were served. She set herself up for rape by going to a party and having a drink, drugged. It was her own fault she was raped.
With the exception of the rapist, all concerned in that televised report were women.
When the black female reporter asked the white female Sheriff if it wasn’t the victim’s fault for getting raped, the Sheriff rolled her eyes and looked again at the reporter with the responds, “That’s a terrible question to ask.”
Rape. It was easy enough in your daddy’s day. Why not today. OF COURSE that argument comes from the very Leftists who rose to power on the ‘CARE’ balloon.
The entire “Just Say No” right to be conservative (against drugs, sex, higher taxes enabling Big Brother) is treated by the Left as permission to abuse White Conservative women and children, the only population deemed NOT SPECIAL by legislators, judges and law enforcement. To take any posture other than submission during rape is again taken by the Left as permission to go the next step, whether character assassination or the extreme enabling the murder of our troops at home. There is no tolerance for opposition from the Left.
What dirty OLD Letterman says is far more heinous than a “nappy” offensive slur that ridiculed a sports team without any reference or context for violence against women. Letterman motivates sexual predators.

If Don Imus was fired over something he said about an adult at 4:30AM then Letterman should be fired for saying something about a CHILD on public Television.

In a poll of males between the ages of 6-75, the slutty flight attendant was chosen by 99.6% of those polled as being much more desirable than the fat, ugly cow that Letterman is married to. Reginia Laskow could possibly the ugliest woman in California. Google: Regina Lasko. Check this porker out.

Letterman knows what slutty flight attendants look like? I thought rich, elite, media snobs all owned their own lear jets……

sooo right, I mean being a governor of the largest state in the union, with incredible popularity numbers, prior to that being a mayor and a business woman, is really no experience to speak of. Take Joe Biden for example, now there a man with national policy making experience and eloquence to boot.
I totally know where you are coming from.

You, like the filthy liar in the White House, appear to have trouble with context. I refuse to get into the whole “Sarah Palin is the best poltician ever” debate with her unhinged fans who rival Ron Pauls for being complete and total fruitcakes.
Fact of the matter is that I want the GOP to run a candidate with something more than PTA president and Governor on her resume. I wouldn’t have voted for Obama with his level of experience either. These are serious times and I want a candidate with experience in national security decision making, crafting of national public policy, exposure to international affairs, a proven record in economic policy making and fiscal conservatism,
Sarah Palin is simply not my candidate of choice.
