It was an “extended” clip, not the produced segment. This was the shot from one camera, the camera that followed Sean. Another camera followed Gov. Palin, and the edited segment cut between both cameras.

I’ll take Hannity’s ego over Olbermann’s or Matthews’ any day. Or Couric’s or Jennings’ or O’Reilley’s, etc, etc.

Hell, all they had to do was switch places and we would have seen a decent shot of her face instead of the back of her head for 11 minutes.

He was an idiot long before Bush came around. Have you ever heard or read an interview with him? He once said he gets “great comfort” from maureen dowd and paul krugman. A multi, multi millionaire and his life sucks so bad that he gets great comfort from two of the most angry, bitter, dysfunctional writers out there. I seriously believe the guy is some kind of savant like in rainmain. Except for writing some catchy tunes in his youth, the guy comes off like he is severely limited intellectually.

Exactly. If he can win, anyone can.
People were into Obama like a crowd is into paying money to see a magician. They are sure they are being fooled but they like it anyway.

People just WANTED him to be the real deal, and voted for him and hoped for the best.
I know a few people who did that. They were moderates/independents.

Obama had no executive experience etc. He got elected in the perfect storm for democrats.
I seriously cannot believe anyone is “unelectable” who is a Gov. and speaks the issues well like Palin does.
Yeah the media hates her guts, the media hated Bush’s guts in 2004, big deal.

That must be why Obama was elected.

For a supposed political nonentity, Sarah Palin surely garners the attention of the media. The politios who feed the beast are being played.

I say that Sarah should be Sarah. She didn’t attempt to upstage anyone at the event, and she doesn’t belittle members of her own party. She has demonstrated executive ability, charisma, and a common-sense message that resonates with the electorate. Obviously, her leaving the dinner has created more buzz than the remarks of the speakers.

Palin is in play on the national stage. Her opponents in both parties fear her (and secretly respect her at the same time).

BTW lizza is one of the more obvious Axelrod astroturfers in the comment threads. This newbie is not even subtle in promoting the talking points. S/He is running neck and neck with afrolib with irrelevance.

I was listening to Palin on Hannity the other day and the first thing that I thought was, if she was debating Obama about, well, anything, there would be blood on the floor if she was that good and focused.

After watching last year’s debates, I was quite annoyed at how Obama would often toss up softballs that should have been slammed right back at him, but McCain was all, “Well, he’s got a point there, but…” And when Obama made direct accusations, he did the exact same thing. We’ll have to go with Palin, or someone like her who can tell people, “No, he’s wrong, and here’s why.” for those debates because simply letting these things be said and then go by completely unchallenged (e.g., Hughley/Steele), no good can come from that.

No offense but this lady brings nothing to the table. Then again, the GOP can elect anyone in 2012 and still won’t have any chance of winning.
The American electorate has changed significantly to favor the Dems. The ship has sailed for the GOP. Their goose is cooked.

Sarah’s a nice person, but it was kind of embarrassing to have her picked as VP with only 2 years as governor. She’s got fewer qualifications than even Obama. We can do better America, can’t we?

She has several levels of executive experience, and experience taking on entrenched interests. Obama goes along with machine politics and votes present. What type of qualifications are you looking for?

So, although Palin was great in firing up the base, she hurt McCain more than she helped because conservative democrats and independents were seriously turned off by her.

Really? I don’t know too any people who vote for a ticket based on the VP slot unless they are totally disgusted by both names at the top of the tickets. Also, which polls would you be referring to? What were the questions asked?

We note your concern and if what you say is true then she won’t make it past the primaries. She will have to give speeches and participate in debates. She has every right to run in 2012 if she wants and we have every right to support her if we wish though.

As far as being “pretty damn smart”, I know many people who would say we have a number of Presidents who weren’t the best or the brightest. For example, I wouldn’t say Jimmy Carter, George Bush II or even Obama impressed me with their smarts. We still don’t know what Obama’s school grades were. I think the voters liked them the most when they ran and that is why they won.
