Good news: Cop tasers 72-year-old great-grandmother

Stage two of my plan to give our new registrants a proper Hot Air welcome. We’ve already had multiple Palin posts; the obligatory 800-comment police brutality thread is next. Then all that’s left is a post on atheism and my work here is done.

The dashcam audio’s a little hit and miss so you’re probably better off skimming the partial transcript before watching. As I’ve said before in our endless taser debates, I thought the stun gun is only to be used to subdue a perp who presents a physical threat or who can’t be subdued any other way. This huge cop was incapable of wrestling granny’s arms behind her back to slap the cuffs on? What if he tased her and she had a pacemaker? Verdict: Desk duty for six months.

Losing control of your muscles and falling while being electrocuted with 50,000 volts then having an officer put your hands into cuffs is somehow better than having an officer put your hands into cuffs? Bizarro world.

Did you even watch the video? She slowly fell to the ground. And a few days later she was sitting in the comfort of her home lying to her community about the events of that day.

He would not broken her arm, SHE would have by resisting. Which she clearly did in the video.

You are a F**KING idiot. Ask yourself if that woman was acting normally. No she wasn’t. That may mean she was experiencing some sort of dementia and should not be driving.

The old bitch was acting irrational and the officer probably saved her life by tasing her.

You morons whom are excusing this woman’s behavior as some sort of justifiable brave stand against the system are seriously deranged. She is either suffering from a mental condition or she is an anti-social loon. Either way, he saved her from serious injury.

Absolutely no sympathy. None, whatsoever.

Welcome to the real Me generation.

I hope you liked being tased, Granny. If the cop says, “sign this,” sign it. If you ask to be arrested, don’t be an idiot and resist arrest.

Moron. No, “moron” would be a compliment for her. Watching that video, I admit, I probably would have lost my patience a lot sooner than that poor officer and just whipped out the pepper spray. But that’s in a world dominated with common sense–a world completely foreign to this lady.

He’s the martyr in this situation, folks. Not an imbecile like her.

And on top of the moron statement…despite the video tape of her actually RESISTING ARREST and physically hitting the officer, she denies it. “He’s the liar. The tape, the whole world, everyone’s lying. I’m a sweet ole granny with candies on my desk.”

Here’s a little thing you should have picked up earlier in life: it doesn’t help to lie when all evidence points against you.

No excuses, old bag. You should have gone to jail. And been pepper sprayed.

The old bitch…You morons…csdeven

Sorry for your dis-ease pal, but screaming, smackdowns, and electroshock of grannies over traffic violations, is not a hallmark of America. The ongoing coarsening of the culture, as evidenced by thuggish LEOs and loudmouths like you, will never define what this country stands for. Courage Granny, go get your money!

Nice try douche. Words mean things and you are a moron and granny is an old bitch. You can try to deflect her vile behavior by attacking others and it probably works for you on little kids. But it doesn’t work on me. The coarsening of America started with her refusal to simply sign the promise to appear and escalated into absurdity when she resisted arrest. And your defense of her despicable behavior is disgraceful.
