Comment registration open! Update: Registration closed

It’s been months since the last open registration day, so we’re opening the books once again. First read our Terms of Service, and if you agree, register through this link and follow the steps. Be patient; we have to approve the first comment of each new registrant, so please don’t keep resubmitting when it doesn’t appear immediately. We will eventually get them all.

Unfortunately it is the same with my own family. Voting for the Christian Democrats already for generations, because that’s what you do. Without having a clue where they stand for.
The problem however at this moment in America is that you only have two major parties to vote on, which will not give in to each other. There is totaly no moderation. Your congress is ruled by corrupt politicians that are out for themselves and care less about the people that voted for them. When you have CEO’s that make 50 milion or more , but have “slaves” working for 8 dollars an hour without even benefits, then you ask for this.
The Founding Fathers wrote about prosperity for all, but I don’t think they meant that one would have to work double jobs to feed his family.
I don’t believe in socialism, but I do believe in being human. What happens now in the USA is exactly what happened in Europe. People voting for their Messiah, hoping that he will make it up for them……..but will not !!!
America needs moderation……..and that is far from to be found at this moment……..

Just thought I would introduce myself. Not much to say really. I am an army veteran, and as you can see by my screen name, a former sapper. I served in Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and am now working on getting my degree. Unfortunately, my state and college is unbelievably liberal (Vermont), and I have to deal with some fanatical Obama supporters on a daily basis. Sites such a Hot Air and others help me keep my sanity as I attempt to deal with these people in a rational manner. I don’t know how much I will actually contribute here in posting comments, but it will be nice to finally have that option.

Just hang in there, stay strong, and never be afraid to speak your mind in lecture — damn the consequences, and damn what everyone thinks.
A professor seems pretty tough spouting off on Republicans in front of 300 people, but I’ve found through experience that the minute you challenge them, they digress and stop talking about it (for the day)!

I just mentioned the other day that I would love to go to college and stir things up. I won’t because I have no discipline but I am of the age they the professor wouldn’t want to be rude and I wouldn’t have to give a flying flip about the grade. The grade makes it tricky.

There seem to be comments that indicated that might happen. You can email Ed or Allah and they can fill you in. I’d wait a day or two since I think an open registration probably means added work.

I am terrible, I will looks stuff up on the computer at the drop of a hat. It’s hard to imagine how I survived before computers became such a huge part of my life. It’s also handy when people use acronyms in posts. I don’t text so a lot of them will go right over my head.
