Cracker Barrel continues to top the ratings for “family restaurants” in Consumer Reports despite the fact that the Gay-stapo hates it because it long ago fired a waiter for refusing to remove his earring.

There was a Denny’s near me that used to serve grits (I’m outside Philly). That was a regular stop until it closed. Now, I’m stuck with local diners that haven’t heard of grits yet. Gotta have grits w/ sausage gravy late at night.

All of those from the Northeast really got to quit the hatin’ on the Waffle House.

I’ve got an annual event every year in Atlanta at which I make it a point to visit the nearby Waffle House at 2am.

I’m tellin’ you fellas, if you’ve never been, you really ought to go. Its like walking into the Star Wars bar scene.

Of course, I’ve also been to the Boston Dunkin’ Donuts/Sushi Express joint, so what do I know?

Did you ever notice that the waitresses at the Waffle House are usually named after semi-precious gems…like Pearl,Ruby and Opal? Just a thought.

Not sure it’s a good idea to use “Waffle House” and “semi-precious gem” in the same sentence.

(Unless it’s after last call at your local pub, at which point some smothered and covered hashed browns are worth their weight in gold.)

When I was pregnant we stopped at a waffle house I was craving it. I got a bowl of fruit and it was covered in mold. Needless to say I’ll never eat at another one again.

One of the great things about America and its economy is the diversity of restaurants.

I have dined at most of the chain restaurants and the food has normally been ok. Cleanliness – if you don’t like the look of the place when you arrive – leave.
