The “Transformers” bombshell-cum-uninhibited philosophizer also contemplates — reluctantly — what she would say to Megatron to keep him from destroying the world. “I’d barter with him,” she muses to the July issue Total Film UK, “and say instead of the entire planet, can you just take out all of the white trash, hillbilly, anti-gay, super bible-beating people in Middle America?”
Like Karl says, at least she’s consistent. Bartering with Megatron is precisely what a lefty would do. (Without preconditions!) I guess it’s comforting to know at least that she has a long career in Hollywood ahead of her. Exit question one: How seriously should we take the opinion of a woman who could have any man in the world and settles for the nerd from “90210″? Exit question two: “Transformers” boycott? Eh, I’ll believe it when I see it. You’re not saying no to those cutoffs, dude.

I haven’t seen Star Trek, Terminator, Wolverine or any other movie in over 6 months. I can say no to Transformers too. Seriously, I should thank the liberal bimbo for saving me $14 or so on a ticket and popcorn. I’m hard pressed to think of a movie I’ve seen all year. Part of it is boycott of the liberal establishment in Hollywood, part of it is financial and part of it is sheer boredom of a bunch of rehashed crap movies that I refuse to waste my time with.

They’re having a pretty good discussion about this at “Big Hollywood” where John Nolte points out that this is yet another example of the disappearance of class in Hollywood. There were plenty of left-of-center actors during Hollywood’s Golden Age: Kathryn Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, Lauren Bacall, Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner, and many others were all liberal Democrats–but they didn’t trash their fans nor did they slam (in public) those who thought differently. Even if an actor was in real life a slob and boor–and more than one in the Golden Age was–the studios kept him/her in line through sanity clauses and morality clauses in their contracts, plus, the actor realized that their careers depended on maintaining their image through at least publicly acting with class.
In “All Through the Night”, for example, Bogart’s character says with pride that he voted Democrat and in “Yankee Doodle Dandy”, Cagney has Cohan saying with pride that he’s a “life-long Democrat”. The thing was, when they uttered those lines, they said them somewhat tongue in cheek, but there was another meaning, I think, behind them. Both movies were made in 1942 as the US was getting fully engaged in WW2. I think what they were trying to say was that as Americans we could express our opinions and vote for the candidates we choose–something that you couldn’t do in Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, or Imperial Japan.
Megan Fox is yet another example of the decline of our culture–no class, no restraints, she’ll be yesterday’s news in a few months or so while I and many others will come back to Bogie and Bacall, Flynn and DeHavilland, Tracy and Hepburn–even if we might disagree with the politics of some of these Golden Agers, one thing we can agree on–they had class.

Honestly, if Megan Fox didn’t open her mouth she’d be fairly attractive (she wouldn’t make my Kade scale 10). However, the moment she opened her mouth and revealed what a moron she is, I would *really* not ever want to even be around her, let alone sleep with her (casually). Everywhere I go, there my brain is, and if the brain doesn’t play, nothing does. I’m not 18 anymore, so the hormones and head from down South can’t over rule the head in the North. I’ve noticed that once I’ve gotten that impression in my head, I don’t even see the physical beauty anymore, the looks just fly right by that part of the brain and land on “gross”.
Lastly, I honestly can’t understand why any of us give a moment’s attention to these buffoons (media stars) in Hollyweird and NYC. The are not certainly not very bright, and they have little hope of ever understanding economics, government or law. As demonstrated here, Ms. Fox shows us that the looney toons on the coasts don’t understand how great the average American is that lives in the fly-over states. After 43 years on this planet, I can honestly say that the most valued trait I find in people is honesty and being able to trust them, and being related (now) to some hillbilly red-necks, I’d trust them with my back any day.

You know, I forgot to mention Transformers at all.
I rented Transformers when I went up to my parents’ for Christmas two years ago. I rented it because my brother and I used to watch Transformers on cartoon and since it was a quiet night, we decided to rent it. All I remember of Fox was that she barely had any role (memorable?) in the movie, although she was smoking hot looking. I figured she was there for eye-candy (yeah, tell me again how the liberals are for womens’ liberation?) for the adolescents that sneaked into the movie. Overall, very forgettable. And, I don’t recall seeing her in any other flicks since then, so either she has little or no other material or she just isn’t much of an actress…or both?
Tramp stamp…I don’t think I’ve heard that term before…I like it, its cute. Personally, I don’t find tattoos attractive, but whatever. If one of my daughters ever got one, I wouldn’t be too concerned since I hope that they’ll be smart enough to realize the long term commitment to whatever they ink into their bodies.

I think I understand exactly what you mean. When I saw Transformers she struck a cord with me because her figure is so much like my wife’s was at that age. Otherwise I just saw her as a young girl only a little older then my daughter. She has a line in Transformers that I just can’t help thinking was included just to slam her. At one point she turns to her co-star and says, “Do you think I’m shallow?” Both my son who is her age and I laughed out loud at hearing that line. I for one think she is not only shallow but none to.
