Video: Palin takes on the Beltway in upstate New York
posted at 8:53 pm on June 6, 2009 by Allahpundit
Red, red meat on an exceedingly slow news day from today’s Seward celebrations in Auburn. This was shot at a fundraiser at Seward House; earlier, 20,000 people turned out to see her lead the parade through the city. Quote:
Palin, who emerged as a leading voice in the Republican Party after Arizona Sen. John McCain picked her as his running mate in the contest against Obama, is thought to be considering a run for president in 2012. Auburn residents welcomed her to the podium at City Hall with a chant of “Run, Sarah, run!”…
Palin rode the mile-long parade route in a red convertible, getting out to walk about 100 yards while carrying small U.S. and Alaska state flags in each hand. Spectators yelled out “Welcome, Sarah” and “Thanks for coming” as Palin waved back.
Local resident Chris Stone, with his wife and three children, said he didn’t care for Palin’s politics but didn’t want to miss the chance to see her in person.
“You can see by the turnout, she’s become a personality and a historical figure,” said Stone, who voted for Obama. “I know all these people aren’t Republicans. This is a chance to see someone who has had a big impact on history.”
Dude, I think she’s running. Click the image to watch.

Perhaps their spiritual life is bigger and more personal than US politicians. Did Jesus focus on the actions of political leaders of his day?

Is there anyone here who voted for Obama and now regrets it? There must be millions of people in that boat. Most are too dishonest to admit it. But guilt will force them to talk about it. Most Libs are shameless buy many in the middle are decent and honest.

I know what you mean. Apparently the Obama’s were a little cool with French President and his wife during the current visit to France. The speculation is that its because of Sarkozy’s criticism of Obama after the G20 summit earlier in the year.

I am sure he thought about political leaders when the head guy nailed him to a cross. Ya Think.

It’s strange how many Obama bumper stickers you see this long after an election. It’s like they are trying to shove it in your face.
bw222 on June 6, 2009 at 11:56 PM
The first half of that sentence I agree with 100%, and I have a strong suspicion you’re right on the second half.
I’d remove the word “may.” Putin, for one, clearly has it. Hugo Chavez also, for all his pig-faced boorishness, seems to have figured out how to yank Barry’s chains.
These will be a rough 3.5 years, even if someone comes along to rescue the Oval Office.
And then there will be the small matter, for whoever comes next, and whenever they come next, of rebuilding America….

Perfect! Now if someone can design a Palin Presidential seal, a Palin logo and she authors a couple of books about herself before by 2012, we’ll really make O’s

Jesus, of course, said: “My kingdom is not of this world.”
And he also said: “Render to Caesar that which is Caesar’s.”
But Jesus didn’t live in a democracy.
There’s a difference between advocating insurrection and exercising your patriotic obligation to vote.

He didn’t mention it. He asked the Father to forgive them, perhaps since they were doing what needed to be done for his sacrifice.

Where I live and work, the stickers have been disappearing at a good pace. At least I don’t have to see Kerry/Edwards stickers on cars anymore. How dumb do those people feel?

You know I had to laugh when Dennis Miller said on Bill O’Rielly that one of the main reasons why he supports Sarah Pailin is precisely because of the unhinging and deranging effect that she has on hard core liberals just by existing.

In Minnesota, I routinely see “Wellstone” bumper stickers on cars that were built long after poor Paul died in 2002.

About a month ago Rush Limbaugh compared the potential of voters having buyers’ remorse for voting for Obama being like a woman who knows after a 2-3 months of married life that she has married the wrong man but cannot lose face by telling the world of her startling discovery. What she will do is ride it out for awhile longer but by the end of 1 year of marriage if things still haven’t changed she will take action, divorce him and eventually give her affection to someone else.
The first stage is where many Obama voters find themselves. They dare not admit to the world that they made a huge mistake, but give it time buyers’ remorse for many will crystallize into a clean break from the spell of the Messiah.
Then it will be up to Sarah and the GOP to do the rest.
technopeasant on June 7, 2009 at 12:06 AM
Yeah, presumably though he chose the political environment that he’d be born into. People should vote according to their values. However, some people live their lives in Christ while thinking little about politics.
There will be men who manipulate the masses for political gain now and for generations to come. Preparing one’s soul for the afterlife has little to do with a given vote.

The honeymoon is over. People have been scratching them off their cars, especially the BIDEN part. I think it has something to do with fear behind a Big Brother government motors.

Spot on analysis technopeasant. Rush knows. When it happens it will be an avalanche. I sense no euphoria over Obama in my neck of the LibbyWoods where it was at one time in the stratosphere.
Everyone is walking around thinking “Be careful what you ask for.”
Geochelone on June 7, 2009 at 12:15 AM
That’s a technical theological question, and one that I — to quote some other American — am willing to admit is beyond my pay grade; Jesus very often lays those sorts of cosmic decisions at the feet of Another Person of the Trinity.
Obviously, many do. Especially, as I’ve said, those who live in a place where they’re not obligated by civic duty to think about politics, but also in America. What’s the point?
However, where Christians have a voice in governance, they obviously have an obligation to do their best to make wise, and faith-based decisions.
Actually, preparing one’s soul for the afterlife has little to do with Christianity, whose basic premise is that that particular detail has been accomplished by Someone Else.

Obama loves one thing: Obama.
And according to the Obots:
That’s so cool!
But continuing to be cool demands results.
Speeches alone won’t cut it.
Palin will rise as Barry sinks.
Which is inevitable, since he is unqualified to do anything but blather.

I read an interesting analysis of potential 2012 GOP standard bearers recently.
The #1 advantage the pundit gave Sarah Palin was “She’s Sarah Palin and they’re not.”
bw222 on June 7, 2009 at 12:18 AM
This might have been said before…………
…….. but, I think Sarah, looking at what Obama and the Left are doing to this country, after getting up every day and looking her children in the eye, has had enough.
She probably would have been content to retire as Governor, and returned to home, being “Job #1 = Mom”……..
…….. then we have the ‘thing’ in power today, and she is not willing to go quietly into the wilderness.
Neither am I……..

PrincipledPilgrim on June 7, 2009 at 12:21 AM
It depends if you believe that your actions matter. Some believe in living a life in Christ and that acts of faith and charity help prepare your soul for the hereafter.
I think that being a Christian will lead one to vote more often for the GOP; however, I think those who question the Christianity of those who voted for a Dem are overreaching.
dedalus on June 7, 2009 at 12:22 AM
I believe you are spot on!
katy on June 7, 2009 at 12:24 AM
Above all else, besides the conservative movement coalescing around Sarah Palin to prevent a RINO from being nominated again in 2012, the #1 thing that conservatives have to stop doing in order to strengthen and buoy the opposition against the Messiah is to STOP BEING CHARITABLE TO OBAMA AND THE FAR LEFT.
They are evil and like Churchill dealt with the Nazis, we must treat Obama, the MSM and their allies in the same manner. We must destroy them before they destroy us.
We must resolve to take no prisoners as we mount a tremendous opposition juggernaut against Obama: no mercy, no quarter will be given.
technopeasant on June 7, 2009 at 12:27 AM
Some people may believe that but that isn’t at all what the Bible says. If good works are required, then I’m still under the Law and Jesus’ work on the cross was for nothing. If I am truly redeemed, then the work of the Holy Spirit in my life (not my work, but Christ in me) will be evidenced by the fruit. I have liberty in Christ but not license.
No, I cannot judge anyone’s heart but I can wonder about the lordship of Christ in one’s life when God’s Word is abundantly CLEAR about moral issues.

I have noticed that trolls have stopped bragging about Obama. And they scare away quite easily now. Cheney’s numbers are rising and Mark Levin’s “Liberty and Tyranny” is a run away phenom. The tea parties have spooked the libs too. And the anti-taxation sentiment in CA is WAY UP. Look at the TAX Props in CA. They were shot down %60 to %40 in a blue state.
They know down deep Obama is a fraud. No troll dares to defend Biden and Pelosi. Reid is a disaster and Frank is a toxic asset.
And Sarah is on the horizon.
Geochelone on June 7, 2009 at 12:33 AM
Many conservative and/or Republican politicians are quoted in the right-wing blogosphere. But whenever a speech or press release from Sarah Palin is posted I think to myself, “She’s one of us.” And by “us”, I mean people who believe in the work ethic and moral superiority of Capitalism. The pride that US citizens have the right to have in their country. Respect for the completely selfless and extreme sacrifices our men & women in the armed forces have made for the entire world. Strong belief in what the United States of America was supposed to be before it was hijacked by socialists, totalitarians, tyrants, pseudo-journaists and hippies.
Crusty on June 7, 2009 at 12:33 AM
Definitely. Along the same lines, I think that when Hillary Clinton said that she couldn’t imagine that a Christian could vote Republican (I think it was during the 1996 campaign) she was, to put it mildly, overreaching.
Christians, though, in a country where they have the right to vote, do have an obligation to vote in a manner consonant with their faith. As well, they have an obligation to treat their neighbors in a manner consonant with their faith, and to conduct business in a manner consonant with their faith.
notropis on June 7, 2009 at 12:34 AM
Exactly how does she do this when the whole GOP establishment is against her? The best she can do is what she is doing right now — put herself out there and connect with the people. I’d say she is doing a good job of it. Movements take time but start with seeds.
PrincipledPilgrim on June 7, 2009 at 12:36 AM
I think the big difference is that when Sarah says it, it’s authentic. Other GOP talking heads can say the same things (and trust me they’ll co-opt it when they see her gaining traction) but it’s all politics with them. They change with the wind because they have no principles. They only seek to win elections. Sarah is the real thing and the contrast is glaringly obvious.
PrincipledPilgrim on June 7, 2009 at 12:40 AM
And who I was directing my CHARITABLE comment to was mainly Christian conservatives who feel it is their duty to submit to Obama or acquiesce to him, that somehow God put him in charge, so therefore we must obey him, even though he is hell-bent on destroying the American way of life and depriving 300m Americans of their liberty.
Christians, please I beg you, wake up and refuse to be CHARITABLE any longer to a Narcissist who hates his country and who wants to control every aspect of your life and the Far Left who are dedicated to establishing a permanent one-party radical socialist tyranny under the permanent Presidency of the Messiah.

Dear Mr. Stoner,
Sarah Palin is the current Governor of one of the most important states in the USA. Alaska is of great strategic importance to the US as well as a gold mind of untapped Energy Resources.
Mr. Stoner it appears that you are not even a mere personality/ historical figure because your claim to fame is that you got to see her once from a distance. Whereas Sarah is just getting started and has a very bright political future to our great nation.

I seriously don’t get why Obama is considered to be the great orator that he is. No teleprompter and Palin easily out orates the One.

No wonder the left fears her so. Shame on our own people for attempting to marginalize her.

I would be just as disappointed with the same outcome led by McCain. Actually the destruction would have been worse, only in a few different ways, with McCain at the helm.
I suppose you would take the same stand on your “obligation to vote” in 3rd-world dictatorships/Russia/etc. Choices between dictator, tyrant, socialist, communist, etc.. I doubt many citizens there would agree with you and many use their non-vote (when they are even allowed that) as one of many forms of protest. McCain was a despicable candidate and not representative of my principles whatsoever. I will never relinquish my right to not vote for the likes of him and his destructive policies.
See, you arrogantly and smugly assume that everyone should think like you. That everyone should recognize the greatness of a McCain presidency and how much better off the US would be in 4 years. I got news for ya, millions of people disagree and thought McCain would be no better than Obama, including many conservatives and Republicans. They demonstrated this at the voting booths whether you like it or not.
I don’t blindly jump on bandwagons as you seem to do. People like me keep these idiots in check. People like you, contribute to the problems. I wish you could see the destructive effects of these types of politics in my hometown and on my businesses. It’s something that my family and I deal with every day, aside from the current and inevitable destructive effects of an Obama presidency. “My friends”, I know it very well. I will only stand with someone or a “side” if they earn my respect, and continue to earn it with their actions. Words mean little, and so do self-described labels, such as John McCain’s “Republican”.

There are two reasons the conservative movement needs to coalesce around Sarah:
1) to prevent a RINO from gaining the nomination in 2012
2)to secure the nomination for Sarah early enough in the primary process so that she will be on a somewhat equal footing as the Messiah in volunteers, high-tech communications and machinery, GOTV efforts, and fundraising.
technopeasant on June 7, 2009 at 12:59 AM
Palin’s on message, on target, and on the right left coast.
What Palin needs to do now, as she gears up for 2012, is to encourage and inspire fresh blood newbies to run against the incumbents. To rid the Congress of these blue blood RINO’s and DemoRats that pass legislation with out reading it. That have no spinal tap to stand up to that fascist socialist which now occupies the White House.
IT’S TIME FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO FEAR THE PEOPLE.
Kini on June 7, 2009 at 1:02 AM
I don’t think we are worshipping Palin.
Both sides need a leader. Someone to take the helm.
The difference is… the left need a leader to grant them rights he deems fit.
The right need a leader to defend the rights that God saw fit.
We do not worship a strong leader.
We are fighting for one who will allow us to worship.

Troll, I am relaxed. I regret taking up space here for this, but:
You are the one who, on an earlier thread, asked me specific questions about my childhood sexual experiences. This is what pedophiles do; therefore, you are either a pedophile or you decided to adopt the M.O. of one.
No one “forced” me to apologize, or do anything. Your saying so is another lie. No one required me to do anything; no one asked or suggested that I apologize to other posters who might be offended, but I did so on my own initiative.
I apologized to anyone who was offended by my use of the word–but I believe you either ARE one or decided to act like a pedophile for the purpose of attacking me. So, for the record:
crr6 IS or shows clear signs of being a pedophile. crr6 used this blog to ask me about my childhood sexual preferences, and stated that my political views stemmed from childhood sexual trauma–which clearly interested her
You have asked similar questions of others, which also shows a pattern of deviant sexual behavior

Principled Pilgrim: I heartily disagree w/you. She is not seizing the initiative. By now Sarah should “own” the GOP. It is (and has been) hers for the taking. Instead look who’s taking it!! Meghan McCain. David Frum. Colin Powell!! You ask “how” can she do more? Well I could fill several essay’s on the subject and I’ve no time for that. Your question was answered before it was asked:
The SRM is going to put up a blockade of some sort to keep the general population ignorant and compliant. But I keep seeing Republican’s on MSNBC and CNN debating the slobbering Obama love fest “journalists”, and most times are coming out on top. And that’s how the public is informed, live TV in debates on these and other channels. We just to need be careful as to who we send out there so they are not ambushed. Liz Cheney is impressive. Model all our spokespersons after her, and we’ll be in great shape.
The Obama administation is making so many mistakes, a reasonable person would think the SRM would tire of covering for him, but extremely doubtful that will happen. They are invested big time, they are going to ride this turd all the way to the ground. All we need is an opposing, reasonable, and mature response. And call Obama on every mis-step, it didn’t hurt the left, logic is it won’t hurt the right.
Hog Wild on June 7, 2009 at 1:26 AM
Please elucidate — seriously. That’s my major disagreement with your screed, after all.
No, I’d reserve that for democracies — of which we are still one.
The what of a who?
Bandwagons? You might want to look up the definition of that word.
By opting out of the political process. Right.
That worked really great. Obama’s cowering from you and all the other non-voters right now. So’s Justice Sotomayor, and we can thank you for the multi-trillion dollar porkulus. I can see it.
It’s simple. Fight the fight you think is right, and when it’s done, vote the best way you see how. Otherwise, you’re nothing. Which is real similar to “nottakingsides.”
To see someone else’s take on “nottakingsides,” look up Rev. 3:16.

notropis on June 7, 2009 at 1:54 AM
I even hate to say this, because I thought my countrymen were more intelligent. Hype matters. Who under cuts who matters. We need quick and informed panel members to disect the left’s arguement, which frankly I think shouldn’t be too hard to do.
Not last Friday, but the week before, Bill Maher had Bolten and a former Congresswoman who’s name escape’s me on his discussion panel, and it was too much for Maher to handle. Maher almost sounded reasonable with Bolten up his backside. Plus the special guest that comes in the last 20 minutes, Bolten shut him down too. I watch Maher regulary, as nothing more than a reason to shout at the TV and to see how the other side thinks. So it was fun to watch Bolten and the former Congresswoman (I really wish I remembered her name) run cirlces around Maher and his special guest.
We need more of that. I would love to see Zo on Real Time or MSNBC, just for the comedy of it, but more serious players need to go into the lion’s den and not be shouted down.

Thanks, I didn’t expect such a compliment, but I’m glad to get it.
President Reagan was the man. Period.

Y’know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Todd Palin and Batman in the same place, at the same time.
Hmmm.
Mr. Wednesday Night on June 7, 2009 at 3:11 AM
That’s gotta be a contest winner. An actor, maybe? It’d be funny to see photos of gas-guzzlers with lib stickers on a website.
I got used to thinking of Reagan as the Gold Standard of presidents after a string of dynasts and wreckers. I was wrong: Platinum Standard is more like it. Hearing Reagan speak again was a stark reminder.
Watching a DVD of Johnny Carson gave me a like feeling about comedians.
The nation is starving for class, talent, and leadership.
Feedie on June 7, 2009 at 3:13 AM
Yes it is, and the message of the original post is that Sarah Palin knows and appreciates–and can give voice to–Reagan’s legacy and message
The Suck-Up media knows that–which is exactly why they went crazy and tried to ruin her by any means necessary last Fall
Janos Hunyadi on June 7, 2009 at 3:17 AM
She doesn’t have to explicitly say “I’m taking over the GOP.”
All she has to do is continue being a leader…continue doing her job as governor…continue speaking out against the statists…and continue supporting and campaigning with and for conservative candidates.
Actions speak louder…and all that.
powerpro on June 7, 2009 at 3:17 AM
The madness of the ruling class became naked last fall. More people see it as time goes on. The old media thinks they’ve found God in a president. Haven’t watched them for so long, I have to discover the outrages in small doses here.
Gotta say good night now.
Feedie on June 7, 2009 at 4:05 AM
I know Palin draws traffic to this site from her diehards. I know this is all about drawing traffic so that is why a Palin story is up every other day even though she is a disaster for the republican party.
You need a conservative republican that can win like Reagan not Palin who alienates suburban and urban voters that you need to win.
80 percent of the country is suburban and urban.
Women will not vote for a pro life female but will vote for a pro life male.
Palin was a disaster in the couric interview about health care being related to the bailout.
Palin opened the middle up for Obama. Suburban female voters that didn’t like Obama would have voted for McCain without Palin.
I ran across countless voters who voted for bush over kerry but didn’t vote for McCain because of Palin.
She gives off a hillbilly white trash vibe. Alaska’s policy of shooting from helicopters didn’t help her even though i agree with the policy.
All those reagan democrat female voters that he got all left for Obama because of Palin.
Palin alienated all the Clinton voters that would have come over before Palin.
McCain was his strongest in late august before Palin when he was ahead in a reuters poll 46-41.
Palin was a disaster for McCain in Florida. No way he loses Florida if Palin isn’t on the ticket. McCain lost double digits overnight with the Palin pick in Florida.
CNN had a poll of Obama winning 53-46 right before the election and without Palin it was within the margin of error.
McCain was running ahead of Obama with independents before Palin and then lost them 60-40 with Palin.
Conservatives only make up 21 percent of the vote. I wish they made up 60 percent of the vote but they don’t.
You need a candidate that can attract conservatives and independents. That is what Reagan was able to do. Palin can’t do that. Palin is a disaster with independents and a lot of conservatives didn’t vote for her either thinking she was an airhead.
All this fighting about McCain vs conservatives when McCain would have been the most conservative president we ever had.
McCain would have had Fred Thompson picking his judges for the supreme court.
But thanks partly to Palin we now have judges like sotomayor.
Palin is toxic for republicans.
A poll last month showed Obama beating her 55-35.
Palin is irrelevant she is never going to be in national office because independents and suburban females treat her like swine flu.
Is it going to take Palin running and getting 35 percent to realize she is a disaster.
Didn’t she cause enough damage with Obama getting 60 percent of the independent vote last election.
You think she is running the hillbilly airhead who gave the election to marxist Obama.
This site promoted Palin and did incredible damage to our nation with the electoral damage Palin did.
Al Franken would not be stealing the election if Pawlenty was picked instead of Palin.
Sarah Palin is good at one thing getting marxists like Obama 60 percent of the independent vote.
Sarah Palin is good at destroying conservatism by helping to elect marxists like Obama.
When I see Palin all I can think about is the damage she caused because she can’t realize what an electoral disaster she and does nothing but to help the other side.
ryandan on June 7, 2009 at 7:23 AM
A good 80% of your post is outright fabrication. The other 20% is your opinion. No one puts credence in anyone’s opinion when they fabricate in such a blatant fashion.
Here is an example to your buffoonery:
You say McCain would have been the most conservative president we ever had?
Dude, You are a freaking loon.
Here is another one:
Dude, You must be thinkin about Tina Fey. By the way, Are you an Adult? You sound prepubescent.

I didn’t read any further so maybe it was pointed out but, I recall somebody writing “Show me your faith and I’ll show you my faith by my works”. Also as far as “works” go as Christians weren’t we commanded to go out into all the world to teach the gospel and whomever we convert we are to teach to observe all that Christ taught. I’d say converting people so their souls are saved is a “good work”. As far as a Christian’s vote, no I can’t see anyone who truly was converted advocating that a man who didn’t fight but, rather supported infanticide run the country. That doesn’t seem any too Christ like to me.
boomer on June 7, 2009 at 7:44 AM
Looks like Crazy Uncle Joe Biden has a friend. Sheesh.
The only thing you left out was blaming Palin for global warming.
Give it a rest, guy. Really.
As for your assertion that “McCain would have been the most conservative president we ever had”? Hmmm.
McCain supported both TARP and Shamnesty. He also gave us the campaign finance “reform” legislation that kneecapped his campaign and allowed Obama to take in money worldwide from any donor willing to hit their credit card on his website multiple times.
Conservative, huh?
If that’s what you call Conservative, I’d hate to see what you consider to be liberal. By your logic, Obama’s merely a “moderate”.

Jesus told Pilot, who was about to let Him be executed, that Pilot would have no power unless it was given to him by God. That shook Pilot to his roots. Obama shows no fear of God but someday he will give an account. What a dreadful day for him.

jerrytbg on June 7, 2009 at 8:18 AM
I’ve met these people too. They are at best, politically naive and at worst, stupid. They are easily swayed by our biased media. We will never win an election if we allow the media to pick our candidates and who really wants to win if what we get is the media candidate? Who will be just as absolutely worthless as the incompetent and corrupt Democrat the media endorses?
Scared off by Palin? Intelligent, aware voters didn’t vote for the least prepared Presidential nominee in American history. Or his absurd, inane dope of a VP.
Obama is already the worst President in American history. Throwing his butt out on the street in 2012 will take more than finding a candidate to run against him, that will get the approval of the clown in the media. Because the media will be behind Obama 100%, again.
NoDonkey on June 7, 2009 at 8:20 AM
I think Sara’s great. I don’t think she can win. There are too many people out there who hate her. The press hates her for the most part so they’ll tear apart everything she says and jump on every misstep she makes. They’ll start gouging her family all over again. Even if half the people who voted for Obama are disgusted with him by 2012, and I truly think they will be, I still don’t think she can win.
scalleywag on June 7, 2009 at 8:40 AM
Sarah could have gone back to Ak and been a mom and a gov, but she could no more sit by and watch the libs turn this country into a socialist/fascist state then she could give up her life guiding principles. Maybe when her book comes out, people will be able to separate all the misinformation spread by the msm and fake news shows. Hillbilly white trash with common sense beats former drug using community organizer every time. Shooting from a helicopter isn’t easy.
Kissmygrits on June 7, 2009 at 8:47 AM
Typical purists to cherry pick McCain’s record like that.
McCain was one of the few republicans to vote against the prescription drug medicare bill which was 400 billion.
McCain voted against a highway transportation bloated bill.
McCain voted against sotomayor in 1998.
McCain lead the fight against harriet miers.
McCain has been great on spending and you take one vote and try and destroy them. He didn’t want the TARP to go to the banks he wanted to help out homeowners.
And there was a provision to stop the second half of tarp which mccain said he would do.
McCain was against the auto bailouts.
McCain was against the AIG bailouts.
McCain wouldn’t have stopped the Georgia ID that holder just stopped.
McCain never voted to kiss up to castro.
McCain wouldn’t have given illegals rights to a lawyer which will backlog the whole system even more like Holder just did.
Would you rather have had Fred Thompson as AG or Eric Holder?
McCain was for completing the whole border fence.
Napalitano has stopped all ICE raids.
McCain has had a lifetime ACU rating of 82 while Obama is around zero.
These conservative purists have destroyed our nation because if you aren’t perfect they would rather have a marxist in their warped mindset.
McCain wouldn’t be asking for billions from the IMF like Obama.
Because you don’t like one McCain vote you throw out his 20 year record of fiscal conservatism and stay home in mass to elect the biggest spender this nation has ever seen at the most critical time in our history.
McCain was for drilling off our coasts. Obama’s Salazar stopped drilling off virginia.
Obama’s salazar stopped BLM sales in Utah to drill. McCain was for the BLM sales in Utah to drill.
Obama’s Salazar is awful for the mining industry.
Obama’s Sotomayor will be a disaster on affirmative action.
Because of conservative purists hard working firefighters get reverse discrimination.
McCain’s judges would have stopped this PC affirmative action garbage in workplace, universities.
Obama’s Sotomayor will be a justice who will vote against the fence on the border for enviornmental reasons. Obama was for the supreme court preventing the border fence for enviornmental reasons while mccain was for letting the fence go up.
Obama is destroying every single last shred of conservatism.
These damn conservative purists picked the election where obama would have a filibuster proof senate to ram in every imaginable liberal law in the land.
Some times you need to play prevent defense and you needed a president to veto the bills from pelosi and reid.
Conservative purists gave away everything forever. They ruined conservatism forever.
In order to reverse these laws Republicans would need to gain 20 seats in the senate to get a filibuster proof majority which is unbelievably hard to do.
When Carter was in power southern dems weren’t left wing marxists like these dems are.
To give dems all the power and allow Obama to pass any law he wants because you McCain wasn’t perfect sucked.
Instead of spending the last few years beating up on the marxist dems rush and the conservative purists beat up on McCain which helped elect Obama.
The differences between McCain the perfect conservative purist are small while the differences between Obama and McCain are as ten thousand times wider.
But if you can’t get perfection stay home and have the marxist destroy our country.
Look at Indiana Bush won by 21 percent and Obama won by 1 percent.
Conservative purists who are at the tea parties stayed home in mass.
McCain wasn’t for this trillion dollar health care plan that Obama is for.
McCain wouldn’t have bailed out the auto companies.
But the tea party activists don’t care about policy enough to vote. If they can’t have 100 percent perfection they stay home and allow a marxist to take over the country.
These conservative purists who are now complaining about Obama are such hypocrites.
They gave us Obama by staying home in mass because McCain didn’t pass their conservative purity test. They destroyed conservatism forever by giving us Obama.
ryandan on June 7, 2009 at 8:48 AM
McCain is a trainwreck. That is all.
V15J on June 7, 2009 at 8:51 AM
To Nodonkey you play into the complete destruction of our nation.
The myth that if you can’t get the perfect conservative that there is no difference than having a democrat.
Would you rather have Eric Holder as AG or Fred Thompson.
There is a huge difference.
The democrats are evil. Do you know what they did to Miguel Estrada?
Go read the garbage on dailykos or DU or Obama’s cult sites and tell me their is no difference.
Yeah having roberts and alito vs sotomayor is no difference.
Having a president stop the Georgia ID law that Georgia passed.
Having Obama stop drilling.
Having Obama give us card check.
Yeah no difference are you kidding me.
This has lead to the destruction of our nation’s political system.
Dems come out in droves to vote while conservative purists make their candidates go through a conservative purity test.
Then they say if you aren’t 100 percent perfect you are the same as the dems.
What a disaster for our country.
ryandan on June 7, 2009 at 8:56 AM
To NoDonkey the problem with putting Obama in is he makes it harder to win future elections.
Guess who controls the census now? Obama
Several million extra dems voters will be added giving Obama extra electoral votes on the map.
Who will control election disputes in the courts? Obama
Who stopped Georgia ID bill? Obama
McCain is for Arizona and Texas’s requests to have had national guard at the border. Obama has rejected this.
Hard to win a future election when Obama has open borders.
This myth that having McCain lose would help conservatives in the long run was a horrible idea.

Darvin -
Your reasoning is so lame I hardly know where to begin. Palin is a sitting governor and Alaska’s legislature is in session during the winter. The three you mentioned don’t have real jobs. The GOP establishment hates Palin because she is as much a threat to them as she is to the left.
Heffer McCain, Powell and Frum? Other than being promoted by the liberal media, what leadership position have any of these three taken? Visit Frum’s website http://www.newmajority.com and you’ll see that unless his buddy Allah posts something on HA, there is no activity. Frum couldn’t organize a one-car funeral. Frum is rapidly becomming (has become) a joke.
MSM is going to attack any conservative Republican and try to influence the 2012 nominee (as it did with McCain). We need to to far more to discredit (castrate) it.

I found a poster of palin someone left in my car from cpac
i unfurled it
and it was SO BAD
WHAT IDIOT SAID TO HIMSELF
“HEY — ILL TAKE THE WORST PIC OF SARAH PALIN EVER AND TURN IT INTO A POSTER!!!”
I mean come on, she’s gorgeous — why’d you use the one pic that makes her look like a yokel?
blatantblue on June 7, 2009 at 9:21 AM
Question: Did you actually watch and listen to Palin’s speech? If she runs or not, we need individuals out there stating the stuff she is stating. There is nothing wrong with her with regard to what she said–we need more of it.
deidre on June 7, 2009 at 9:22 AM
“McCain has had a lifetime ACU rating of 82 while Obama is around zero.”
Actually, Obama with a 17% rating and Harry Reid with a 16% rating in 2008 both beat Olympia Snowe (12%). Her dingbat twin (Susan Collins) had 20%.
That speaks volumes about Snowe, Collins and the “big tent” philosophy.
