btw/ The Canadian landing at Normandy historical video is on YouTube; no shelling seen from the landing craft’s camera perspective as the men disembarked with ease making their way to the shore. The wages of war, spared one day to be spent the next. Too bad visa versa doesn’t work out so easily.

We were fighting a war against terror then as we are now. It was not and is not a war of choice. No one would rightly choose war. A lot of men and women died then to protect us from a fascist state takeover and now we are losing the battle from within. We are squandering our birthrights.
