With any due respect, you missed my point entirely. I was not justifying or accepting Obama’s presence at Omaha Beach. It was ‘closed’ because Prince Philip and Canadian PM Harper were there as well as Hussein. I was pointing out that the beach is long and wide, and possible to visit even if the monument and cemetery are closed

The genuine emotion pouring from these families is infectious and still I get misty eyed every time.

Thank you to all those serving and all those families who serve in their own way back on the home front.

A joyous homecoming…

God Bless all the children, who have a parent currently fighting in the wars. I hope their tears are always of this kind of joy!

CNN’s rating are way down remember how they treated Tea Party Protesters? American Military Veterans were at those Tea Party Protest too but how did CNN treat them? Tea bagging jokes, and oh yes a dumb woman, who was supposed to be reporting the news objectively but instead brow beating a man holding his baby. Yeah CNN spits on you, then uses human interest video of returning American Military Soldier to try and get you to watch their crappy channel again. Nothing to SEE here folks, they don’t care about Average Americans, they are not above USING Average Americans…..they have proven that.

BTW are we still in Iraq? I’d never know it by watching the MSM news. When’s the last time anyone read a story about a car bomb in Iraq? Or did they just stop cold at 12:01pm 1/20/09?

Expect to see a lot of this crap on CNN in the coming months. Dads coming home. Dads going to graduations. Moms seeing their kid’s 1st soccer game. And amazingly enough all these “events” will happen in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and other swing states.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think their interest was in showing the Daddys that were returning in coffins during the Bush administration.

You’ll have to pardon me if I seem cynical about anything that is excreted by the MSM – even the stuff that makes the tears well up.

I was a little boy but I still remember when Vietnam vets/pow’s were coming home and their children running for them on the Tarmac. It made me cry then because I knew what was going on.

I must have stared at this a thousand times in LIFE magazine as a kid. I loved how the daughters feet weren’t even touching the ground.

You’re right about that. I’ve seen that one before and that sweet little boy’s face has stayed with me.

That made me cry. I sure wish I could see my Daddy one more time.
