So Ford gave Obama over $30,000. A lot of folks don’t even make that much per year and are going to be hurt directly or indirectly by the Democrats economic screw ups. If Ford ain’t willing to wise up and throw a few million at undoing his past mistakes by helping to get Democrats out of power then why should anyone give him one thin dime.

Isn’t interesting that the ones who support the pro-statist policies always balk when those same policies negatively effect them? Harrison Ford, Steve Ballmer, Alec Baldwin and a host of others should be in a montage that congratulates them on waking up and encourages them to help elect candidates that fit their newly discovered viewpoints. However, they should also be concerned with other American industries facing the same plight and not just those with which they have a financial interest.

So when you go through that hassle at the airport ticketing and security screening, baggage office (because your bags are lost), and the Rental Car line remember you are paying for these services and the provider wants to give you more for your money. But, every time the price increases it is because the government is sucking away the profit through unfunded mandates. Mandates that you be subjected to increasing scrutiny, environmental laws that conflict with reality, and demands that we provide you things that are not directly related to improving the experience.

Thanks to fools like Harrison Ford soon none of us will be worrying about those things because no one will be flying anywhere. We won’t be able to afford it.

I am sorry, but I have read many of the posts and sense that the left has infiltrated Hot Air to slam a Hollywood star that is supposed to be aligned with them but is not so on this subject.

As an aviation professional, and having personally spoken with Mr. Ford about his love of aviation. I agree that the Administration is slowly bleeding/attacking the general aviation community. Aviation at the local level is a revenue source that the Administration and other politicians can not directly control. Because in the beginning days of aviation, the government and industry mandated that airports and aviation be self sustaining operations. So, to get at the money, the Administration impose unfunded mandates requiring air carriers and other providers of aviation services (cargo, movement, mail, defense, etc.) to pass on to the customer you, the public.

Funny how all these celebrities come out from behind Obama’s curtain, when the thought of paying out more, or higher taxes, directly affects them. Then suddenly, it’s important what the government is up to.

I’m betting they sat on their couches, and cheered the vitriol that was slung at AIG execs, and rallied around, over the thought of bank execs getting their salaries regulated.

But I have a feeling if and when his favorite industry is saved from this group of socialist parasites he won’t lift a finger or show any sympathy to help other targeted industries that he himself has no interest in.
