The media ignore that one of the reason housing sales rose in April might have to do with the spike in foreclosures from the moratorium coming off . . . How many of those increase sales came from people snapping up foreclosed homes at a percentage of market value?

But they neither have the brains nor the desire to make the linkage between the spike in foreclosures and the spike in purchase contracts, because that would dimish how this is an accomplishment for Obamessiah.

Not only are people losing their jobs, the ones who still have them have lowered wages and declining buying power.

*Especially* us Californians.

Obama’s $400 tax break has been absorbed by a tripled car tax and a 9.75% sales tax here in Los Angeles….not to mention all the other ad-ons.

Little by little, they just keep chipping away at our paychecks.

Is this true of the public sector? How many public employees have been laid off to reduce the federal and state budget deficits? How many have had their wages frozen or cut?

And as to the private sector, how many private unions have gotten contracts with “Stimulus” funds that have reduced their wages?
